Joao Evangelista, Spokesperson of the Corrente Comunista Revolucionária (RCIT Section in Brazil), reports from a Mass Rally in São Paulo, 6 April 2018
Thousands of workers and youth activists are currently assembling in front of the headquarters of the metal workers trade union where former president Lula has taken refuge against the arrest by the putschist regime. Comrades of the Brazil section of the RCIT – the Corrente Comunista Revolucionária – are part of this mass movement. The Temer government has come to power via an institutional coup d'etat in 2016. We fight for a socialist perspective which includes the call for an indefinite general strike to bring down the Temer government and to build a workers government.
