Joao Evangelista, Spokesperson of the Corrente Comunista Revolucionária (RCIT Section in Brazil), reports from a Mass Demonstration in São Paulo, 31 May 2018
After the end of the truckers strike that paralyzed the country and had put the putchist govern Temer against the wall, the workers of Petrobrás have started a national strike against the privatization of the company and the rising prices of fuel. Furthermor they are fighting against the authoritarian government and for a return to democracy.
Comrades of the Brazil section of the RCIT – the Corrente Comunista Revolucionária (CCR) – support the strike and particiate in these mass protests. We fight for a socialist perspective which includes the call for an indefinite general strike to bring down the Temer government and to build a workers government.
The CCR has also published numerous articles and documents on the class struggle in Brazil which can be read on the RCIT's website at https://www.thecommunists.net/worldwide/latin-america/.
The RCIT publishes articles on its website www.thecommunists.net on a daily basis.
