1. Last night, the U.S. joined Israel’s war of aggression against Iran. At the order of the Trump Administration, 6 B-2 bombers dropped 12 GBU-57 “bunker buster” bombs – the most powerful non-nuclear weapons in the world – on Iran’s Fordow site, navy submarines launched 30 Tomahawk missiles at Natanz and Isfahan and a B-2 dropped two more bunker busters on Natanz. Unsurprisingly, Trump triumphantly claims that “the strikes were a spectacular military success. Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated.” However, Iranian officials say that there has been only limited damage at the nuclear sites. Furthermore, it is clear that Iran has moved the stockpiles of enriched uranium out of the facilities already long time ago.

 

2. Even by the standards of basic international law, these attacks of Israel and America constitute a blatant war of aggression. Socialists in Iran and all over the world have the duty to defend Iran in this war and to call for the defeat of the Zionist-American Monster!

 

3. Naturally, we remain opponents of the reactionary Mullah regime in Teheran and we want to see it replaced with a workers and peasant government. But this is not a war about the regime but rather about redrawing the map of the Middle East. If Israel wins this war and defeats Iran, this would be a serious setback not only for the Mullah regime but also for the Iranian people, the Palestinians and all oppressed peoples in the region. It would be a massive boost for Netanyahu and Trump and would massively strengthen the hegemony of the imperialist settler state as well as of the U.S. in the Middle East.

 

4. However, if Iran manages to repel the Zionist-American aggression, this will represent a historic defeat for Israel and could provoke a revolutionary wave in the region. It would result in the immediate downfall of the ultra-right Netanyahu government and open a major domestic crisis. Many fanatical hard-core Zionists would leave the country while critical-minded sectors of the Israeli workers could start critically rethinking Zionism. Furthermore, a weakening of the Zionist state would immediately aid the liberation struggles of the Palestinians and encourage the Syrian and Lebanese people to expel the Zionist occupiers. In addition, a defeat of the Zionist-American aggression would massively weaken the hegemonic position of U.S. imperialism in the region. It would also severely weaken the Trump Administration – which faces already wide-spread opposition because of its brutal policy of repression against migrants – because the vast majority of the U.S. population opposes a war against Iran. In short, the Zionist-American war against Iran is a key event which will have fundamental consequences for the Middle East and globally.

 

5. The Revolutionary Communist International Tendency (RCIT) calls the global pro-Palestine movement and the workers and popular mass organisations to mobilise in solidarity with the Iranian people. We need mass mobilisations, strikes, and direct actions in order to weaken and to sabotage the imperialist war efforts by any means necessary. Iran has every right to strike Israel as well as the U.S. aggressor. We fully defend Iran’s right to develop its nuclear program and to possess nuclear weapons – even more so as Israel has already 90-200 nuclear warheads and the U.S. more than 5.000!

 

6. The RCIT reiterates its unconditional support for the Palestinian people facing a genocidal war since more than 20 months. We are in full solidarity with the heroic resistance in Gaza.

1.           Anoche, Estados Unidos se unió a la guerra de agresión de Israel contra Irán. Por orden de la administración Trump, seis bombarderos B-2 lanzaron 12 bombas GBU-57 "antibúnkeres" —las armas no nucleares más poderosas del mundo— sobre la base iraní de Fordow; submarinos de la Armada lanzaron 30 misiles Tomahawk sobre Natanz e Isfahán; y un B-2 lanzó dos antibúnkeres más sobre Natanz. Como era de esperar, Trump afirma con orgullo que "los ataques fueron un éxito militar espectacular. Las principales instalaciones de enriquecimiento nuclear de Irán han sido destruidas total y completamente". Sin embargo, funcionarios iraníes afirman que los daños en las instalaciones nucleares han sido limitados. Además, está claro que Irán ha retirado hace mucho tiempo sus reservas de uranio enriquecido de sus instalaciones.

 

2.           Incluso según los estándares del derecho internacional básico, estos ataques de Israel y Estados Unidos constituyen una flagrante guerra de agresión. Los socialistas en Irán y en todo el mundo tienen el deber de defender a Irán en esta guerra y exigir la derrota del monstruo sionista-estadounidense.

 

3.           Naturalmente, seguimos oponiéndonos al régimen reaccionario de los mulás en Teherán y queremos verlo reemplazado por un gobierno obrero y campesino. Pero esta no es una guerra contra el régimen, sino más bien sobre la reconfiguración del mapa de Oriente Medio. Si Israel gana esta guerra y derrota a Irán, esto representaría un grave revés no solo para el régimen de los mulás, sino también para el pueblo iraní, los palestinos y todos los pueblos oprimidos de la región. Sería un gran impulso para Netanyahu y Trump y fortalecería enormemente la hegemonía del estado colonial imperialista, así como la de Estados Unidos, en Oriente Medio.

 

4.           Sin embargo, si Irán logra repeler la agresión sionista-estadounidense, esto representará una derrota histórica para Israel y podría provocar una oleada revolucionaria en la región. Esto provocaría la caída inmediata del gobierno ultraderechista de Netanyahu y abriría una grave crisis interna. Muchos sionistas fanáticos y radicales abandonarían el país, mientras que sectores de la clase trabajadora israelí podrían comenzar a repensar críticamente el sionismo. Además, un debilitamiento del Estado sionista impulsaría de inmediato las luchas de liberación de los palestinos y animaría a los pueblos sirio y libanés a expulsar a los ocupantes sionistas. Asimismo, una derrota de la agresión sionista-estadounidense debilitaría enormemente la posición hegemónica del imperialismo estadounidense en la región. También debilitaría gravemente a la Administración Trump, que ya enfrenta una amplia oposición debido a su brutal política de represión contra los migrantes, porque la gran mayoría de la población estadounidense se opone a una guerra contra Irán. En resumen, la guerra sionista-estadounidense contra Irán es un acontecimiento clave que tendrá consecuencias fundamentales para Oriente Medio y el resto del mundo.

 

5.           La Corriente Comunista Revolucionaria Internacional (CCRI) llama al movimiento global pro-Palestina, así como a los trabajadores y organizaciones populares, a movilizarse en solidaridad con el pueblo iraní. Necesitamos movilizaciones masivas, huelgas y acciones directas para debilitar y sabotear los esfuerzos bélicos imperialistas por todos los medios. Irán tiene todo el derecho a atacar tanto a Israel como al agresor estadounidense. Defendemos plenamente el derecho de Irán a desarrollar su programa nuclear y a poseer armas nucleares, ¡más aún cuando Israel ya posee entre 90 y 200 ojivas nucleares y Estados Unidos más de 5000!

 

6.           La CCRI reitera su apoyo incondicional al pueblo palestino que enfrenta una guerra genocida desde hace más de 20 meses. Nos solidarizamos plenamente con la heroica resistencia en Gaza.

1. Gestern Abend schlossen sich die USA Israels Angriffskrieg gegen den Iran an. Auf Befehl der Trump-Administration warfen sechs B-2-Bomber zwölf GBU-57-Bunkerbrecherbomben – die stärksten nichtnuklearen Waffen der Welt – auf den iranischen Atomwaffenstützpunkt Fordo ab. U-Boote der Marine feuerten 30 Tomahawk-Raketen auf Natanz und Isfahan ab, und eine B-2 warf zwei weitere Bunkerbrecher auf Natanz ab. Wenig überraschend behauptet Trump triumphierend: "die Angriffe seien ein spektakulärer militärischer Erfolg gewesen. Irans wichtigste Uran-Anreicherungsanlagen wurden vollständig zerstört." Iranische Regierungsvertreter geben jedoch an, dass die Schäden an den Atomanlagen überschaubar seien. Darüber hinaus ist klar, dass der Iran die angereicherten Uranvorräte bereits vor langer Zeit aus den Anlagen abgezogen hat.

 

2. Selbst nach den Maßstäben des Völkerrechts stellen diese Angriffe Israels und der USA einen eklatanten Angriffskrieg dar. Sozialistinnen und Sozialisten im Iran und weltweit haben die Pflicht, den Iran in diesem Krieg zu verteidigen und für die Niederlage des zionistisch-amerikanischen Monsters einzutreten!

 

3. Selbstverständlich bleiben wir Gegnerinnen und Gegner des reaktionären Mullah-Regimes in Teheran und wollen dieses durch eine Arbeiter- und Bauernregierung ersetzen. Doch in diesem Krieg geht es nicht um das Regime, sondern um eine Neugestaltung der Landkarte des Nahen Ostens. Sollte Israel diesen Krieg gewinnen und den Iran besiegen, wäre es nicht nur für das Mullah-Regime, sondern auch für das iranische Volk, die Palästinenserinnen und Palästinenser und alle unterdrückten Völker der Region ein schwerer Rückschlag. Es wäre ein massiver Auftrieb für Netanjahu und Trump und würde sowohl die Hegemonie des imperialistischen Siedlerstaates als auch der USA im Nahen Osten massiv stärken.

 

4. Sollte es dem Iran jedoch gelingen, die zionistisch-amerikanische Aggression abzuwehren, wäre es eine historische Niederlage für Israel und könnte eine Welle an Revolutionen in der Region auslösen. Dies hätte den sofortigen Sturz der ultrarechten Netanjahu-Regierung zur Folge und würde eine schwere innenpolitische Krise auslösen. Viele fanatische Zionisten würden das Land verlassen, während Teile der israelischen Arbeiterklasse beginnen könnten, den Zionismus kritisch zu hinterfragen. Eine Schwächung des zionistischen Staates würde zudem den Befreiungskampf des palästinensischen Volkes unmittelbar helfen und die syrische und libanesische Bevölkerung ermutigen, die zionistischen Besatzer zu vertreiben. Zudem würde eine Niederlage der zionistisch-amerikanischen Aggression die hegemoniale Stellung des US-Imperialismus in der Region massiv schwächen. Sie würde auch die Trump-Administration – die aufgrund ihrer brutalen Repressionspolitik gegen Migranten bereits auf breiten Widerstand stößt – erheblich schwächen, da die große Mehrheit der US-Bevölkerung einen Krieg gegen den Iran ablehnt. Kurz gesagt: Der zionistisch-amerikanische Krieg gegen den Iran ist ein Schlüsselereignis mit tiefgreifenden Folgen für den Nahen Osten und die Welt.

 

5. Die Revolutionär-Kommunistische Internationale Tendenz (RCIT) ruft die pro-palästinensische Bewegung sowie die Arbeiter- und Massenorganisationen weltweit dazu auf, sich solidarisch mit dem iranischen Volk zu zeigen. Wir brauchen Massenmobilisierungen, Streiks und weitere Aktionen, um die imperialistischen Kriegsanstrengungen mit allen notwendigen Mitteln zu schwächen und zu sabotieren. Der Iran hat jedes Recht, Israel ebenso wie den US-Aggressor anzugreifen. Wir verteidigen uneingeschränkt das Recht des Iran, sein Atomprogramm zu entwickeln und Atomwaffen zu besitzen – umso mehr, als Israel bereits über 90 bis 200 Atomsprengköpfe hat und die USA ebenso über mehr als 5.000 Atomsprengköpfe verfügt!

 

6. Die RCIT bekräftigt ihre bedingungslose Unterstützung für das palästinensische Volk, das seit über 20 Monaten einem Völkermord ausgesetzt ist. Wir stehen uneingeschränkt hinter dem heldenhaften Widerstand im Gazastreifen.
