On 18 November, thousands of people, mostly Arab and Muslim migrants, marched once again in Vienna to show their support for the Palestinian people. This demonstration showed that in Austria - as in many other countries around the world - numerous people reject the Israeli war of terror in Gaza. This is all the more remarkable since there exists a united front in this country between the government, all parliamentary parties and the media, which unconditionally supports the Zionist state and its genocide against the Palestinians.

Activists from the Austrian section of the RCIT, together with young Palestinians, formed a militant contingent with several hundred participants. Palestinians, Chechens, Syrians, Egyptians, Kosovar Albanians, Libyans, Austrians and others joined forces. In addition to national flags, our bloc carried at the head a banner of our organization with the inscription “We are all Gaza – Workers Solidarity with Palestine”.

In addition, Medina Avdagić and Michael Pröbsting - both leading representatives of the RCIT - gave interviews to Anadolu Agency (Türkiye's state news agency).

 في 18 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر، تظاهر آلاف الأشخاص، وخاصة المهاجرين العرب والمسلمين، مرة أخرى في فيينا لإظهار دعمهم للشعب الفلسطيني.  أظهرت هذه المظاهرة أن العديد من الأشخاص في النمسا كما هو الحال في العديد من البلدان الأخرى حول العالم يرفضون حرب الإرهاب الإسرائيلية في غزة. و مما يزيد من روعة هذا الأمر أن هناك جبهة موحدة في هذا البلد بين الحكومة وجميع الأحزاب البرلمانية ووسائل الإعلام، التي تدعم دون قيد أو شرط الدولة الصهيونية والإبادة الجماعية التي ترتكبها ضد الفلسطينيين.

 نشطاء من RKO BEFREIUNG (القسم النمساوي من RCIT)، جنبا إلى جنب مع الشباب الفلسطينيين، شكلوا كتلة مسلحة تضم عدة مئات من المشاركين. اجتمع معنا الفلسطينيون والشيشان والسوريون والمصريون وألبان كوسوفو والليبيون والنمساويون وغيرهم.  وبالإضافة إلى الأعلام الوطنية، رفعت كتلتنا على رأسها لافتة منظمتنا كتب عليها "كلنا غزة - عمال متضامنون مع فلسطين".

El 18 de noviembre, miles de personas, en su mayoría inmigrantes árabes y musulmanes, marcharon una vez más en Viena para mostrar su apoyo al pueblo palestino. Esta manifestación demostró que, en Austria, como en muchos otros países del mundo, numerosas personas rechazan la guerra de terror israelí en Gaza. Esto es tanto más notable cuanto que en este país existe un frente unido entre el gobierno, todos los partidos parlamentarios y los medios de comunicación, que apoya incondicionalmente al Estado sionista y su genocidio contra los palestinos.

Activistas de la sección austriaca de la CCRI formaron junto con jóvenes palestinos un contingente militante con varios cientos de participantes. Palestinos, chechenos, sirios, egipcios, albanokosovares, libios, austriacos y otros unieron fuerzas. Además de las banderas nacionales, nuestro bloque llevaba a la cabeza una pancarta de nuestra organización con la inscripción “Todos somos Gaza – Solidaridad de los Trabajadores con Palestina”.

Además, Medina Avdagić y Michael Pröbsting, ambos destacados representantes de la CCRI, concedieron entrevistas a la Agencia Anadolu (la agencia de noticias estatal de Turquía).

Several hundred people demonstrated in the centre of Vienna on 11 November to show their support for the Palestinian people in Gaza. The rally was organised by the Arab Palestine Club which and led by comrade Mohammed.

Michael Pröbsting, International Secretary of the RCIT, was one of the speakers at the rally. He denounced the support of Western governments, including the Austrian, for Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people. He reported about the growing support of trade union and solidarity activists in the U.S., Britain, Belgium, Spain, Italy and India for Gaza who are organising boycott actions against the Zionist state. Michael emphasised that such actions need to expand since a strong international boycott movement is necessary to defeat the Israeli Apartheid state.

Activists of the Austrian section of the RCIT sold 30 copies of the new edition of THAWRA – the Arabic-language newspaper of the RCIT.

Varios cientos de personas se manifestaron en el centro de Viena el 11 de noviembre para mostrar su apoyo al pueblo palestino en Gaza. La manifestación fue organizada por el Club Árabe Palestina, dirigido por el camarada Mohammed.

Michael Pröbsting, secretario internacional de la CCRI, fue uno de los oradores del mitin. Denunció el apoyo de los gobiernos occidentales, incluido el austriaco, al genocidio de Israel contra el pueblo palestino. Informó sobre el creciente apoyo de activistas sindicales y solidarios en Estados Unidos, Gran Bretaña, Bélgica, España, Italia e India a Gaza que están organizando acciones de boicot contra el Estado sionista. On November 11, a rally was held in solidarity with the Palestinian people in Argentina, in the Plaza de Mayo, in front of the presidential building.

The event was called by Palestinian women's organizations, Arab entities and human rights organizations. The left-wing parties that make up FITu and others also participated. Our organization, Convergencia Socialista, Argentine section of the CCRI, was present with a delegation.

At the demonstration, a document was read in which the genocide that the Zionist State of Israel is carrying out against the Palestinian people was denounced and it was demanded that all States break relations with Israel.

Up to 1,000 people assembled on 4 November in the centre of Vienna to demonstrate their solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza. It was a powerful rally of mostly Arab and Muslim migrants.

Another demonstration which should have taken place earlier on this day was banned by the police because the organiser did not accept the condition that the slogan “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free” must not be chanted. This anti-democratic repression reflects the fact that the political elite in Austria continues to fanatically support Israel’s war of terror in Gaza.

The rally was organised by the Arab Palestine Club and led by comrade Mohammed. It was addressed by several speakers, including Michael Pröbsting, International Secretary of the RCIT. In his speech, which was enthusiastically received, he denounced Israel’s War of Terror against the Palestinian people. He welcomed those courageous Jewish activists in the U.S., Britain and Australia who demonstrated in the past weeks in solidarity with Gaza. Michael also called for an international boycott movement against Israel.

In addition, Michael was interviewed by the Austrian TV channel Puls24 as well as the Anadolu Agency (the state-run news agency in Türkiye).

Esta represión antidemocrática refleja el hecho de que la elite política de Austria sigue apoyando fanáticamente la guerra de terror de Israel en Gaza.

La manifestación fue organizada por el Club Árabe Palestina y encabezada por el camarada Mohammed.

Intervinieron varios oradores, entre ellos Michael Pröbsting, Secretario Internacional de la CCRI. En su discurso, que fue recibido con entusiasmo, denunció la Guerra de Terror de Israel contra el pueblo palestino. Once again, a mobilization was held in Mexico City in solidarity with the Palestinian people. This march held on Sunday, November 5, brought together almost 50.000 people from more than 80 organizations, which indicates an increase in Mexican solidarity.

At the end of the march, two large offerings were made in the style of the Day of the Dead, with photographs of some of the victims of the Gaza war, candles, cempasuchil flowers, Palestinian flags and toys.

In this new day of struggle for Palestine we call for a boycott against Israel and the multinational companies that do business with the Zionist colonizing bourgeoisie, including the Mexican CEMEX. We also continue to demand that the Mexican government break diplomatic and commercial relations with Israel, recalling once again the ties between Israeli security companies with the Mexican army, as well as their role protecting Tomás Zerón de Lucio, one of the architects of the "historical truth" who was part of the State's deception with which our 43 fellow students from Ayotzinapa were disappeared by the state.

We call to take the example of the American activists who have blocked military shipments by sea to Israel in Oakland and Tacoma, as well as the protests that took place in Dagestan before the arrival of a flight from Israel.

On November 2, a massive rally took place in Argentina in solidarity with the Palestinian people. Thousands of protesters from human rights organizations, left-wing parties and unions demonstrated in front of the Argentine parliament building, calling for an end to the bombings and killings perpetuated by Zionism in Gaza.

Convergencia Socialista, the Argentine section of the CCRI, participated together with a group of organizations, with which we have initiated a campaign to break relations with the colonialist State of Israel.

Last Saturday, October 28, a second march in solidarity with Palestine was held in Mexico City that far surpassed the historic demonstration that took place on Sunday the 22nd. This time approximately 15 thousand people filled the streets between the Angel of Independence and the Zócalo calling for an end to the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, as well as the West Bank.

The slogans "It is not a war, it is genocide" and "From the river to the sea, Palestine will win" were heard. The march was called by more than 50 organizations and culminated in a rally in front of the city cathedral and the National Palace. An altar was also made in commemoration of the more than 8,000 Palestinians murdered since October 7 and from the rally a new day of struggle was called for next weekend including a new march on next Sunday at 4 p.m. on the same route.

From our balance as RCIT Mexico we consider it a great advance in solidarity actions that the march has been so crowded, despite the fact that in Mexico a phenomenon of great magnitude has just occurred that occupies the solidarity of the people nationally, such as the impact of Hurricane Otis in Guerrero. This is a sign of the solidarity that the entire world is giving with the Palestinian people and the anger caused by the war of extermination carried out by Zionist imperialism.

These actions must continue so that the oppressed of the world keep pressing for a ceasefire and justice for the Palestinian people. From Mexico we still have to demand that the government break diplomatic and military relations with Israel, remembering that: 1) Tomás Zerón, one of the architects of the "historical truth" that the government created when our 43 fellow students from Ayotzinapa were disappeared by the state, is a fugitive there, and whom the Israeli government refuses to extradite; 2) that Israel sells the Mexican army spy technology that they have used to intimidate journalists and activists; and 3) that the Mexican company Cemex builds surveillance stations and the walls with which Israel segregates and maintains control over the Palestinian population in the West Bank. Faced with these demands, the Mexican government has avoided making any type of statement.

We join the next day of struggle hoping that solidarity will continue to overflow in Mexico and throughout the world for the good of the Palestinian people and for the good of their liberation struggle.

About 1,000 people demonstrated in the centre of Vienna on 28 October to show their solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza. This is remarkable because the protestors, the vast majority of them Arab and Muslim migrants, assembled despite the fact that the police had banned several rallies in the days before. Furthermore, this rally was organised by a single person with no organisation behind her.

As Amila, the organiser, explained in her speech, the rally was only allowed by the police under the condition that the slogan “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free” must not be chanted. This anti-democratic censor reflects the massive pressure by the political elite in Austria (and the whole of Europe) which totally supports Israel’s war of terror against the Palestinian people.

Michael Pröbsting, International Secretary of the RCIT, was the first speaker at the rally. He explained that the vote of the UN General Assembly in favour of an immediate ceasefire reflects the global condemnation of Israel’s barbarous attack and the isolation of the fanatic supporters of the Zionist state. However, given the impotent nature of the UN, it is crucial to continue mass mobilisations on the streets until we can stop the slaughter. He also sent greetings to the people of Gaza and the heroic resistance forces defending their land.

Unas 1.000 personas se manifestaron en el centro de Viena el 28 de octubre para mostrar su solidaridad con el pueblo palestino en Gaza. Esto es notable porque los manifestantes, la gran mayoría de ellos inmigrantes árabes y musulmanes, se reunieron a pesar de que la policía había prohibido varias manifestaciones en los días anteriores. Además, esta manifestación fue organizada por una sola persona sin ninguna organización detrás.

Como explicó Amila, la organizadora, en su discurso, la manifestación sólo fue permitida por la policía con la condición de que no se coreara el lema “Del río al mar, Palestina será libre”. Esta censura antidemocrática refleja la presión masiva de la elite política en Austria (y en toda Europa) que apoya totalmente la guerra de terror de Israel contra el pueblo palestino.

This 25 October, a massive march was held in Argentina in support of the Palestinian people, with the slogans: “stop the Zionist genocide”, “enough of occupation, right of return”, “for the release of Palestinian prisoners”, “imperialism out Middle Eastern.” Called by human rights organizations and all left-wing parties, the mobilization went from the headquarters of the Argentine parliament to the embassy of the Zionist State of Israel.

The police mounted an exaggerated security operation around the Embassy, so that the demonstrators could not get closer than two blocks to the embassy.

Convergencia Socialista (the Argentinean section of the CCRI) organized a joint contingent with other organizations, MTR, TORRE, People's Assemblies and PSTU, behind a common flag that demanded that the Argentine state break relations with Israel.

Several thousand people, mostly but not exclusively Arab and Muslim migrants, marched in the centre of Vienna on 21 October to show their solidarity with Gaza. It was the largest mobilisation so far since the beginning of the war. This demonstration was another encouraging sign that many people are not intimidated and show their support for the Palestinian people, despite a pro-Israeli hate campaign by an unholy alliance of the government, all parliamentary parties and the media.

The Austrian section of the RCIT participated in the march with a very loud and lively contingent of up to 400 people from various national origins (Palestinians, Syrians, Egyptians, Chechens, Bosnians, Tunisians, Bangladeshi, Austrians and others). Reflecting its international composition, our contingent had at its head – in addition to a banner of our organisation saying “We are all Gaza – Workers Solidarity with Palestine” – flags of Palestine, Free Syria as well as Chechnya.

During the march, Medina Gunić (Avdagić) and Michael Pröbsting – both leading representatives of the RCIT – addressed the demonstrators in short speeches. We emphasised the necessity to unambiguously side with the Palestinian resistance in their struggle against Israel’s war of terror. We said that it is crucial to build an international solidarity movement and to unite activists from different communities on the basis of a joint program of struggle. Furthermore, we stated that the Israeli Apartheid state must be abolished and replaced with a single state "from the river to the sea" on a secular and democratic basis and in which the popular masses – the workers and peasants – hold power in their hands. All Palestinian refugees must have the right to return to their homeland.

The demonstration was a strong signal that the solidarity movement with Palestine continues to gain strength!

Varios miles de personas, en su mayoría, aunque no exclusivamente, inmigrantes árabes y musulmanes, marcharon en el centro de Viena el 21 de octubre para mostrar su solidaridad con Gaza. Fue la mayor movilización hasta el momento desde el comienzo de la guerra. Esta manifestación fue otra señal alentadora de que muchas personas no se sienten intimidadas y muestran su apoyo al pueblo palestino, a pesar de una campaña de odio proisraelí por parte de una alianza impía del gobierno, todos los partidos parlamentarios y los medios de comunicación.

La sección austriaca de la CCRI participó en la marcha con un contingente muy ruidoso y animado de hasta 400 personas de diversos orígenes nacionales (palestinos, sirios, egipcios, chechenos, bosnios, tunecinos, bangladesíes, austriacos y otros). Como reflejo de su composición internacional, nuestro contingente tenía a la cabeza – además de una pancarta de nuestra organización que decía “Todos somos Gaza – Trabajadores Solidarios con Palestina” – banderas de Palestina, Siria Libre y Chechenia.

Durante la marcha, Medina Gunić (Avdagić) y Michael Pröbsting, ambos destacados representantes de la CCRI, se dirigieron a los manifestantes con breves discursos. Hicimos hincapié en la necesidad de ponerse del lado inequívoco de la resistencia palestina en su lucha contra la guerra de terror de Israel. Dijimos que es crucial construir un movimiento de solidaridad internacional y unir a activistas de diferentes comunidades sobre la base de un programa de lucha conjunto. Además, afirmamos que el Estado de apartheid israelí debe ser abolido y reemplazado por un Estado único "desde el río hasta el mar" sobre una base secular y democrática y en el que las masas populares – los trabajadores y los campesinos – tengan el poder en sus manos. Todos los refugiados palestinos deben tener derecho a regresar a su patria.

¡La manifestación fue una fuerte señal de que el movimiento de solidaridad con Palestina sigue ganando fuerza!

On October 19, Convergencia Socialista, the Argentine section of the RCIT, held, together with other left-wing and democratic organizations, an event in front of the Argentine Foreign Ministry, in which a delegation of the organizations present entered to deliver a letter, demanding the immediate rupture of relations between the Argentine State and the State of Israel.

Leaders of the organizations present spoke at the event, including our comrade Juan Carlos, who in his speech called for "doing the same thing we did years ago, when thousands and thousands surrounded companies, properties, linked to this capital, to the capital that finances Zionist aggression against the Palestinian people."

This is the first step of a campaign to break relations with the Zionist State and boycott its companies. Several left-wing organizations and intellectuals signed the request and committed to continuing the campaign, in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Le 19 octobre, Convergencia Socialista, la section argentine du CCRI, ainsi que d'autres organisations de gauche et démocratiques, ont organisé une manifestation devant la chancellerie argentine, où une délégation des organisations présentes est allée remettre une lettre exigeant la rupture immédiate des relations entre l'État argentin et l'État d'Israël.

Des dirigeants des organisations convoquées ont pris la parole, dont notre camarade Juan Carlos, qui a appelé dans son discours à "faire la même chose qu'il y a des années, lorsque des milliers et des milliers de personnes ont encerclé des entreprises, des propriétés, liées à ce capital, au capital qui finance l'agression sioniste contre le peuple palestinien".

Il s'agit de la première étape d'une campagne visant à rompre les relations avec l'État sioniste et à boycotter ses entreprises. Plusieurs organisations et intellectuels de gauche ont signé la pétition et se sont engagés à poursuivre la campagne en solidarité avec le peuple palestinien.

No dia 19 de outubro, a Convergência Socialista, seção argentina da CCRI, realizou, junto com outras organizações de esquerda e democráticas, um evento em frente a chancelaria argentina, no qual uma delegação das organizações presentes entrou para entregar uma carta, exigindo a ruptura imediata das relações entre o Estado argentino e o Estado de Israel.

No evento falaram dirigentes das organizações convocadas, entre eles o nosso camarada Juan Carlos, que no seu discurso chamou a "fazer a mesma coisa que fizemos anos atrás, quando milhares e milhares cercaram empresas, propriedades, ligadas a este capital, ao capital que financia a agressão sionista contra o povo palestino."

Este é o primeiro passo de uma campanha para romper relações com o Estado sionista e boicotar as suas empresas. Várias organizações e intelectuais de esquerda assinaram o pedido e comprometeram-se a continuar a campanha, em solidariedade com o povo palestino.

This October 22, a march in support of Palestine was held in Mexico City, being the largest demonstration in support of the Palestinian people that has ever taken place in this country. Approximately five thousand people attended, among whom were more than 50 organizations that signed the call. Chants such as "Free Palestine", "It is not a war, it is genocide" and "Break relations with Israel" were heard from the Angel of Independence to the Monument to the Revolution. There the march ended with a meeting in which a joint statement was read. Furthermore, a young Palestinian resident in Mexico participated and spoke out for the ending of relations between the government of López Obrador and the State of Israel, as well as an end to the import of military and espionage Israeli technology and the export of Mexican cement and oil to Israel.

Although we criticize the bourgeois pacifist position of the joint statement, which was limited to calling for a ceasefire on both sides and the creation of a humanitarian corridor, we applaud the effort and the demonstration that took place yesterday, especially because in Mexico has never been a demonstration of solidarity of this magnitude with the Palestinian people before.

We consider it necessary to continue with actions of solidarity and support, since it is an effective way to combat the media siege about what is happening in Palestine, maintained by corporations that do business with the Zionist bourgeoisie. Furthermore, these demonstrations in a certain way can force governments to take measures that may affect the Zionist settlers.

We believe that since Mexico is a people oppressed by a neighbouring imperialist country that took over more than half of our territory and that segregates our population through a border wall, and that has also imposed a war on us for more than 15 years in which our oppressed classes die for the benefit of their imperialist rule, we have much in common with the Palestinian people.

We echo the call that was made at the end of the rally for a day of action for Palestine this Saturday, October 28. As RCIT Mexico we will join this day of struggle.

The TV channel Arabi21 aired an interview with Michael Pröbsting, the RCIT’s International Secretary. He spoke about our assessment of the new Gaza War and its consequences, our political perspectives, the necessity of an international solidarity movement for Palestine, and the role of the Western governments.
