Yemen’s Houthis Seize Israeli Cargo Ship: A Legitimate Act of Solidarity with the Palestinian Resistance

The Houthis – a powerful resistance movement which controls the Western part of Yemen including the capital city Sanaa – have sized an Israeli-owned cargo ship in the southern Red Sea.
While Netanyahu’s office claims that Israel is not involved in the ship’s ownership or operation, it has been widely acknowledged – including by Israeli media – that the Galaxy Leader is owned by Ray Car Carriers. This company has been founded by Abraham “Rami” Ungar, who is known as one of the richest men in Israel.
Despite denying any involvement with the ship’s ownership, the Israeli government reacted furiously about the seizure of the Galaxy Leader and denounced it as an “Iranian act of terrorism” (because of the Houthis alliance with Iran). Likewise, a US National Security Council spokesperson said in a statement that “the Houthi’s seizure of the vessel Galaxy Leader in the Red Sea is a flagrant violation of international law.”
Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said in a statement on X that the seizure of the ship was in response to the “heinous acts against our Palestinian brothers in Gaza and the West Bank. (…) If the international community is concerned about regional security and stability, rather than expanding the conflict, it should put an end to Israel’s aggression against Gaza. (…) We confirm our continuation of military operations against [Israel] until the aggression and ugly crimes against our Palestinian brothers in Gaza and the West Bank stop.” Saree added the warning that any ship belonging to Israel or those who support it will be a legitimate target for Houthi forces.
The Houthis are a petty-bourgeois Islamist movement which played an important role in the popular uprising in 2014. After Saudi Arabia and the UAE – supported by the U.S. and UK – invaded Yemen in March 2015, the Houthis became the central force in defending the country against this reactionary attack – a struggle which the RCIT has always supported. [1]
At the same time, Ansar Allah – the official name of the Houthis – is part of so-called “Axis of Resistance” led by Iran. Hence, it has close ties with the reactionary Mullah regime in Teheran which oppresses the working class, women and national minorities in Iran, [2] supports the tyranny of Assad in Syria [3] and send weapons to Putin for his imperialist war against the Ukraine. [4]
The Houthis have a long tradition of solidarity with the Palestinian people. This has been also demonstrated by that fact that they have launched several missile and drone attacks against the Zionist state in support of the Palestinian resistance since the 7 October.
While the RCIT does not lend any political support to the Houthis, we strongly welcome their practical aid to the Palestinian liberation struggle. The seizure of the Israeli cargo ship is a legitimate act of solidarity with the Palestinian resistance. In fact, it is a shame that other forces of the so-called “Axis of Resistance” – like Hezbollah or Iran itself – have refused to join the legitimate struggle of the Palestinian resistance until now – despite numerous bombastic declarations. True, Hezbollah regularly exchanges fire with the Israeli army at the border. But compare such modest military efforts to their decision to send thousands of militants to Assad to help him suppressing the heroic popular uprising of the Syrian people since March 2011! How long does Nasrallah want to wait until he opens the “second front”? Until the Nakba in Gaza has been accomplished?!
The RCIT – including our comrades in Israel / Occupied Palestine – continues to stand with the Palestinian people and its liberation struggle. In the current Gaza War – like in the past ones – we advocate the military victory of the resistance led by Hamas without lending political support to the program or all tactics of its leadership. [5]
We call for a comprehensive boycott of the Israeli Apartheid state. Sabotage all forms of military support for Israel. For strikes, protests and consumer boycott against Israeli goods, pro-Israeli political and cultural events! In fact, the Houthis seizure of an Israeli cargo ship is a form of such popular sanctions against the Zionist state.
Victory to the Palestinian resistance! Defeat Israel!

قام الحوثيون – وهي حركة مقاومة قوية تسيطر على الجزء الغربي من اليمن بما في ذلك العاصمة صنعاء – باحتجاز سفينة شحن مملوكة لإسرائيل في جنوب البحر الأحمر.
وبينما يدعي مكتب نتنياهو أن إسرائيل ليست متورطة في ملكية السفينة أو تشغيلها، فقد تم الاعتراف على نطاق واسع - بما في ذلك وسائل الإعلام الإسرائيلية - بأن "Galaxy Leader" مملوكة لشركة Ray Car Carriers. تم تأسيس هذه الشركة على يد أبراهام "رامي" أونجار، المعروف بأنه أحد أغنى الرجال في إسرائيل.

وقال المتحدث العسكري للحوثيين، يحيى سريع، في بيان على موقع X، إن الاستيلاء على السفينة جاء ردا على “الأعمال الشنيعة ضد إخواننا الفلسطينيين في غزة والضفة الغربية”.
إذا كان المجتمع الدولي مهتماً بالأمن والاستقرار الإقليميين، بدلاً من توسيع الصراع، فعليه أن يضع حداً للعدوان الإسرائيلي على غزة. ...
نؤكد استمرارنا في العمليات العسكرية ضد [إسرائيل] حتى يتوقف العدوان والجرائم البشعة ضد إخواننا الفلسطينيين في غزة والضفة الغربية”، وأضاف سريع محذرا من أن أي سفينة تابعة لإسرائيل أو من يدعمها ستكون هدفا مشروعا لقوات الحوثي.
الحوثيون حركة إسلامية برجوازية صغيرة لعبت دورًا مهمًا في الانتفاضة الشعبية عام 2014. بعد المملكة العربية السعودية والإمارات العربية المتحدة – بدعم من الولايات المتحدة. والمملكة المتحدة – بعد غزو اليمن في مارس 2015، أصبح الحوثيون القوة المركزية في الدفاع عن البلاد ضد هذا الهجوم الرجعي – وهو النضال الذي دعمته RCIT دائمًا (1).
وفي الوقت نفسه، تعد جماعة أنصار الله – الاسم الرسمي للحوثيين – جزءًا مما يسمى بـ "محور المقاومة" بقيادة إيران. ومن ثم، فهي تتمتع بعلاقات وثيقة مع نظام الملالي الرجعي في طهران الذي يضطهد الطبقة العاملة والنساء والأقليات القومية في إيران، ويدعم طغيان الأسد في سوريا ويرسل الأسلحة إلى بوتين لحربه الإمبريالية ضد النظام الإيراني( أوكرانيا) (2, 3, 4)
لدى الحوثيين تقليد طويل من التضامن مع الشعب الفلسطيني. وقد تجلى ذلك أيضًا من خلال شنهم عدة هجمات صاروخية وطائرات بدون طيار ضد الدولة الصهيونية دعماً للمقاومة الفلسطينية منذ 7 أكتوبر.
في حين أن RCIT لا تقدم أي دعم سياسي للحوثيين، إلا أننا نرحب بشدة بمساعدتهم العملية لنضال التحرير الفلسطيني. إن الاستيلاء على سفينة الشحن الإسرائيلية هو عمل تضامني مشروع مع المقاومة الفلسطينية. ومن العار في واقع الأمر أن ترفض قوى أخرى تابعة لما يسمى "محور المقاومة" ـ مثل حزب الله أو إيران ذاتها ـ الانضمام إلى النضال المشروع للمقاومة الفلسطينية حتى الآن ـ على الرغم من التصريحات الرنانة العديدة. صحيح أن حزب الله يتبادل إطلاق النار بانتظام مع الجيش الإسرائيلي على الحدود. لكن قارن هذه الجهود العسكرية المتواضعة بقرارهم إرسال آلاف المسلحين إلى الأسد لمساعدته في قمع الانتفاضة الشعبية البطولية للشعب السوري منذ مارس 2011! إلى متى يريد نصر الله الانتظار حتى يفتح «الجبهة الثانية»؟ حتى تتم النكبة في غزة؟!
تواصل RCIT - بما في ذلك رفاقنا في إسرائيل / فلسطين المحتلة - الوقوف إلى جانب الشعب الفلسطيني ونضاله من أجل التحرير. في حرب غزة الحالية – كما في الحروب السابقة – ندعو إلى تحقيق النصر العسكري للمقاومة التي تقودها حماس دون تقديم دعم سياسي لبرنامج أو لجميع تكتيكات قيادتها (5).
وندعو إلى مقاطعة شاملة لدولة الفصل العنصري الإسرائيلية. - تخريب كافة أشكال الدعم العسكري لإسرائيل. للإضرابات والاحتجاجات ومقاطعة المستهلكين ضد البضائع الإسرائيلية، والفعاليات السياسية والثقافية المؤيدة لإسرائيل! وفي الواقع، فإن استيلاء الحوثيين على سفينة شحن إسرائيلية هو شكل من أشكال العقوبات الشعبية ضد الدولة الصهيونية.

현재 수도 사나를 포함하여 예멘 서부 일대를 장악하며 강력한 저항운동을 전개하고 있는 후티족 “반군”이 예멘 남쪽의 홍해에서 이스라엘 소유의 화물선을 나포했다.
이스라엘 네타냐후 총리실은 이스라엘이 배의 소유나 운영에 관련이 없다고 주장하고 있지만, 갤럭시 리더호가 이스라엘 국적의 세계 최대 자동차운반선(pctc) 선사 레이카 캐리어스의 소유라는 것은 이스라엘 언론들도 인정하고 있는 사실이다. 이 회사는 이스라엘 최대 부자로 알려진 아브라함 라미 운가르가 설립한 글로벌 독점체다.
관련설을 전면 부인하면서도 이스라엘 정부는 갤럭시 리더호 나포에 대해 광포한 반응을 보이며 (후티 반군이 이란의 동맹이라는 이유로) "이란의 테러 행위"라고 맹비난했다. 또 미국 백악관 국가안보회의(NSC) 대변인도 성명을 통해 "후티 반군의 갤럭시 리더호 나포는 명백한 국제법 위반"이라고 주장했다
야히야 사리 후티 군 대변인은 X(전 트위터) 성명을 통해 선박 나포는 "가자와 서안 지구의 우리 팔레스타인 형제들에 대한 극악무도한 행위"에 대한 대응 차원이었다고 말했다. “국제사회가 분쟁을 확대하기보다 지역 안보와 안정에 대해 염려한다면, 가자에 대한 이스라엘의 침략을 중단시켜야 한다... 우리는 가자와 서안 지구의 우리 팔레스타인 형제들에 대한 침략과 추악한 범죄가 멈출 때까지 이스라엘에 대한 군사 작전을 계속할 것을 확인한다." 사리 대변인은 이스라엘 소속의 어떤 배든 후티 군의 합법적인 타깃이 될 것이라고 경고를 덧붙였다.
후티 ‘반군’은 2014년 민중봉기에서 중요한 역할을 한 소부르주아 이슬람주의 운동이다. 2015년 3월 미국과 영국의 지지를 받는 사우디아라비아와 아랍에미리트(UAE)가 예멘을 침공한 뒤부터 후티 군은 이 반동적인 공격에 대항하여 나라를 방어하는 중심 세력이 되었다. 그리고 언제나 RCIT는 이 저항투쟁을 지지해왔다.[1]
동시에, 안사르 알라 ㅡ 후티 군의 공식 명칭 ㅡ 는 이란이 이끄는 이른바 “저항의 축”의 일부다. 후티 군이 이란의 노동자계급과 여성, 민족 소수자들을 억압하는 반동 물라(율법학자) 정권[2]과 긴밀한 유대관계 속에서 시리아의 아사드 독재[3]를 지지하고, 푸틴의 대(對)우크라이나 제국주의 전쟁[4]을 도와 (김정은 정권 마냥) 러시아에 무기를 보내는 등 한편에선 반동 행보를 걷고 있는 이유다
후티 군은 팔레스타인 인민과 오랜 연대의 전통을 갖고 있다. 이 점은 후티 군이 10월 7일 이래로 팔레스타인 저항군 지지 차원에서 시온주의 국가를 향해 수차례 미사일과 드론 공격을 감행한 사실로도 입증되고 있다.
사회주의자가 후티군에게 정치적 지지를 주는 것은 있을 수 없는 일이지만, 팔레스타인 해방 투쟁에 대한 그들의 실제적 원조에 대해서는 강력히 환영하는 바다. 이스라엘 화물선 나포는 팔레스타인 저항투쟁과의 정당한 연대 행위다. 사실, "저항의 축"의 다른 세력들 ㅡ 헤즈볼라나 이란 자신과 같은 ㅡ 이 잇단 폭탄선언에도 불구하고 지금까지 팔레스타인 저항투쟁에 동참하기를 거부하고 있는 것은 부끄러운 일이다. 헤즈볼라가 정기적으로 접경지역에서 이스라엘 군대와 총격전을 주고받고 있다는 것은 사실이다. 그러나 이러한 소박한 군사적 노력을, 2011년 3월 이래 시리아 인민의 영웅적인 민중봉기를 진압하는 것을 돕기 위해 아사드에게 수천 명의 전투원을 보내기로 한 그들의 결정과 비교해보라! 나스랄라 [헤즈볼라 수장]는 얼마나 오래 기다려서야 "제2 전선"을 열겠다는 것인가? 가자에서 나크바가 다 끝난 뒤에야?!
RCIT와 RCIT 이스라엘/점령지 팔레스타인 지부는 계속해서 팔레스타인 인민 및 팔레스타인 해방투쟁과 연대한다. 우리는 현 가자전쟁에서 ㅡ 지난 가자전쟁들에서처럼 ㅡ 하마스가 이끄는 저항투쟁의 군사적 승리를 제창한다. 하마스 지도부의 강령과 모든 전술에 정치적 지지를 주지 않고 그렇게 한다.[5]
이스라엘 아파르트헤이트 국가에 대한 전면적인 보이콧을 촉구한다. 파업과 시위, 이스라엘 제품에 대한 불매운동, 친이스라엘 정치·문화 행사 보이콧도 필요하다! 실제로, 후티군의 이스라엘 화물선 나포는 시온주의 국가에 대한 그러한 민중 제재의 한 형태다.

Los hutíes de Yemen se apoderan de un buque de carga israelí: un acto legítimo de solidaridad con la resistencia palestina

Los hutíes, un poderoso movimiento de resistencia que controla la parte occidental de Yemen, incluida la capital, Saná, han tomado el tamaño de un carguero de propiedad israelí en el sur del Mar Rojo. Si bien la oficina de Netanyahu afirma que Israel no está involucrado en la propiedad ni en la operación del barco, se ha reconocido ampliamente –incluso por los medios israelíes– que el Galaxy Leader es propiedad de Ray Car Carriers. Saree añadió la advertencia de que cualquier barco perteneciente a Israel o a quienes lo apoyen será un objetivo legítimo para las fuerzas hutíes.
Los hutíes son un movimiento islamista pequeñoburgués que jugó un papel importante en el levantamiento popular de 2014. Después de que Arabia Saudita y los Emiratos Árabes Unidos (apoyados por Estados Unidos y el Reino Unido) invadieran Yemen en marzo de 2015, los hutíes se convirtieron en la fuerza central en la defensa del país. país contra este ataque reaccionario, una lucha que desde la CCRI siempre hemos apoyado. La incautación del carguero israelí es un acto legítimo de solidaridad con la resistencia palestina.
De hecho, es una vergüenza que otras fuerzas del llamado “Eje de Resistencia” –como Hezbollah o el propio Irán– se hayan negado a unirse a la lucha legítima de la resistencia palestina hasta ahora –a pesar de numerosas declaraciones grandilocuentes. Es cierto que Hezbolá regularmente intercambia disparos con el ejército israelí en la frontera. ¡Pero comparemos esos modestos esfuerzos militares con su decisión de enviar miles de militantes a Assad para ayudarlo a reprimir el heroico levantamiento popular del pueblo sirio desde marzo de 2011! ¿Cuánto tiempo quiere esperar Nasrallah hasta abrir el “segundo frente”? ¡¿Hasta que se lleve a cabo la Nakba en Gaza?!
Desde la CCRI –incluidos nuestros camaradas en Israel/Palestina ocupada– continuamos apoyando al pueblo palestino y su lucha de liberación. En la actual guerra de Gaza –como en las pasadas– defendemos la victoria militar de la resistencia liderada por Hamás, sin prestar apoyo político al programa ni a todas las tácticas de su liderazgo. [5]
Llamamos a un boicot integral al estado de apartheid israelí. Es necesario sabotear todas las formas de apoyo militar a Israel. ¡Por huelgas, protestas y boicot de consumidores contra productos israelíes, eventos políticos y culturales proisraelíes! De hecho, la incautación de un buque de carga israelí por parte de los hutíes es una forma de sanción popular contra el Estado sionista.
¡Victoria a la resistencia palestina! ¡Derrota a Israel!
