2022 අරගලය

Preface by the RCIT: Below we publish an article written by the Revolutionary Workers Front (RWF). This is a new revolutionary socialist organisation in Sri Lanka which comprises both comrades from the old RCIT section as well as new comrades. Against the background of the intensifying crisis of the capitalist system, the local capitalist class plunged the country into a massive economic catastrophe. Due to the unavailability of essential food, medicine, fuel, and gas, people had to spend days and even weeks in queues. As some perished under the pressure of poverty, the suffering masses took to the streets against the oppressive capitalist regime. In response to the crisis, the government launched a repression campaign.

Centered in the capital, the “Gota Go Home” struggle began at Galle Face and spread across the country to towns and villages, breathing life into a mass uprising. This movement, involving hundreds of thousands of people, led to a decisive moment in which protestors expelled the President, Mahinda Rajapaksa, and other oppressors. It was a united struggle of all ethnicities from the North and South alike — a unique people’s victory in world history.

However, due to the absence of a proper leftist leadership or systematic plan to guide the people's victory, the reactionary capitalist class acted conspiratorially to reverse the gains of the struggle. Tens of thousands of activists were repressed and imprisoned. Those who joined the struggle and stood with the people, even at the cost of their jobs, are now left without employment due to the actions of the repressive rulers. No one stands up today for the thousands of imprisoned activists. Many political and organizational groups that were active during the struggle have now gone silent, having completed their opportunistic roles. Some act only on behalf of their own comrades. No united voice has risen for all those still behind bars.

During the 2022 uprising, the existing governing system was rejected, and the struggle was strengthened with the aim of establishing people’s power. It created the potential for a new alternative political movement. The NPP (National People’s Power) government came to power based on the hopes of the people. However, the current NPP regime, disregarding the victories of the struggle, has attempted to go beyond the previous regimes in maintaining the authoritarian presidential system.

Dragging the country into further instability, they continue to operate by taking IMF loans, selling off national resources, cutting professional rights, commercializing education, imposing heavy tax burdens on the people, and leaning toward corruption. The new government has made no attempt to take any action regarding the imprisoned struggle activists.

We raise our voices today to seek justice on behalf of our comrades who fought bravely during the struggle and are now in prison. For this, we — the Revolutionary Workers Front — are actively working both nationally and internationally.

 පාරට බසින්නට විය. රජය අර්බුදයට පිළිතුරු ලෙස මර්දනය දියත් කළහ. රටේ අගනුවර මුල් කර ගනිමින් ගෝල් පේස් හිදී ඇරඹී "ගෝඨා ගෝ හෝම්"අරගලය මාස ගණන් පණ පොවමින් රට පුරා නගර

ගම් දක්වා ව්‍යාප්ත විණි.ලක්ෂ සංඛ්‍යාත ජනතාවගේ අරගලය තීරණාත්මක මොහොතේ ජනාධිපතිවරයා හා මහින්ද ඇතුළු පීඩකයින් පන්නා දැමීම දක්වා අරගලකරුවන් සටන මෙහෙය විය. උතුර හා දකුණ එක් වූ සියලු ජාතීන්ගේ එක්සත් අරගලයක් වූ අතර එය ලෝක ඉතිහාසයේ සුවිශේෂිත ජනතා ජයග්‍රහණයක් විය.

ජනතා අරගලයේ ජයග්‍රහණය නිසිලස හසුරුවන්නට හැකි වාමනායකත්වයක් හෝ වැඩපිළිවෙලක් නොමැති

 නිසාම ප්‍රතිගාමී ධනපති පංතිය කුමන්ත්‍රණ කාරිව ජයග්‍රහණය ආපස්සට හරවන්නට ක්‍රියා කළහ. දස දහස් ගණන් අරගල කරුවන් මර්දනය දියත් කර සිරගත කරනලදී. පැවැති අර්බුදයන්ට පිළිතුරු ලෙස මතු වු ජනතා අරගලය හා එක් ව වැඩ කරන ජනතාව සිය රැකියා නොසලකා අරගලය හා එක් වූහ. මර්ධනකාරී පාලකයන් විසින් අද මේ වන විට බොහෝ අයගේ රැකියාවන් පවා අහිමි කර ඇත.සිරගතව සිටින දහස් ගණන් අරගලකරුවන් වෙනුවෙන් පෙනී සිටින්නට කිසිවෙකු නැත.අරගලයේදී සිටි බොහෝ දේශපාලන හා විවිධ සංවිධාන ඔවුනගේ අවස්ථාවාදි ක්‍රියා නිම කොට නිහඬව සිටිති.සමහරෙක් ඔවුනගේ සගයන් වෙනුවෙන් පමණක් පෙනී සිටිමින් ක්‍රියා කරයි.සිරගතව සිටින සමස්ත අරගලකරුවන් වෙනුවෙන් පොදු හඬක් නැගීමට ඉදිරිපත් නොවේ.

2022 අරගලයේදී එතෙක් පැවති පාලක තන්ත්‍රය ප්‍රතික්ෂේප කර ජනතා බලයක් ගොඩනැගීමට අරගලය ශක්තිමත් විය.එය නව විකල්ප දේශපාලන ප්‍රවාහයක් ලෙස බිහිවනු දැකීමට අරගලයේ

අවස්ථාතාවය වුයේය.N.P.P නව රජය බලයට පැමිණියේද ජනතාවගේ එම බලාපොරොත්තු මතින්ය.වත්මන් Npp රජය අරගලයේ ජයග්‍රහණය නොසලකා හරිමින් පැවති රජයන්ටත් වඩා එහා ගිය ජනපති ක්‍රමය පවත්වාගෙන යන්නට උත්සාහයේ යේදී සිටි.රට තව තවත් ආරාජිකත්වයට ඇද දමමින් I.M.Fණය ගනිමින්, රටෙහි සම්පත් විකුණමින්,වෘත්තිකයන්ගේ අයිතීන් කප්පාදු

කරමින් ,අධ්‍යාපනය විකුණමින්,ජනතාව මත

අධික බදුබර පටවමින් දූෂණයන්ට එළැඹෙමින් ක්‍රියාකරයි. අරගලයේ සිරගත අය කෙරෙහි කිසිදු ක්‍රියාමායක් ගැනීමට නව රජය උත්සාහ නොකරයි. අප මේ හඬ නගන්නේ අරගලේදී ශක්තිමත්ව සටන් වැදී සිරගතව සිටින සගයෙන් වෙනුවෙන් යුක්තිය ඉටුකර ගැනීමටයි. මේ සඳහා ජාතික හා ජාත්‍යන්තර මට්ටමින් ක්‍රියා කරන්නට අප විප්ලවීය කම්කරු පෙරමුණ කටයුතු කරමින් සිටිමු.
