1.           The Palestinian Uprising on 7 October 2023 and Israel’s forever wars in the Middle East have provoked a massive pro-Palestine solidarity movement which spreads around the world. This movement has gained similar proportions and historic significance like the movement against the Vietnam War in the late 1960s and early 1970s. It has a largely spontaneous character and is strongest in Muslim countries as well as in Western countries with a sizeable migrant population. In the Muslim world it is supported by numerous (petty-)bourgeois nationalist and Islamist forces while in Western countries it is mostly Muslim migrant organisations as well as those left-wing and trade union forces which do not capitulate to the pressure of the pro-Zionist ruling class.

 

2.           The movement has faced repeated and severe repression. In Jordan, the monarchy banned the Muslim Brotherhood – the main forces behind the weekly mobilisations at the Israeli embassy in Amman. In Britain, the Starmer’s Labour government outlawed Palestine Action, a non-violent organization which has carried out direct action against pro-Israeli corporations and infrastructure. In various Western countries, pro-Palestine activists have been put on trial. Among them is Michael Pröbsting, the International Secretary of our organization, who got a suspended sentence of six months in prison for “approval and incitement to commit terrorist offenses.“

 

3.           The pro-Palestine solidarity movement, by its very nature, is heterogenous. It contains communists and Islamists, Arab nationalists and left-wing reformists, supporters of Hamas as well as liberal pacifists. The Revolutionary Communist International Tendency (RCIT) has actively participated in this movement from the very beginning. We always welcomed the broad, united front character of this movement.

 

4.           At the same time, revolutionary communists have to criticise those ideologies and forces which play a misleading role in the struggle. Among the most important ones are:

 

* Illusions in the United Nations. A widespread illusion is the belief that the UN is an institution which could stop Israel’s forever wars in the Middle East. In fact, the UN is an assembly of bourgeois governments which are dominated by five imperialist Great Powers with the power of veto each and every decision. Among these is the U.S. – Israel’s historic long-time ally. Even if the UN would adopt a resolution condemning Israel, there is no force to implement such decisions against the will of Great Powers. It is well-known that Israel has political and economic relations with all imperialist powers. The failure of the so-called “international community” to stop Russia’s aggression against Ukraine is another example of the impotence of the UN. The Great Powers agree on resolutions and are eager to implement these only if they are directed against countries of the Global South, i.e. dependent semi-colonies. An example for such reactionary consensus are the sanctions which the UN Security Council imposed against Iran in 2006 because of its desire to develop its own nuclear program (while Israel has never faced sanctions despite possessing 90-200 nuclear weapons).

 

* Illusions in liberal Western governments. Several Western governments have distinguished themselves from the U.S., Britain and Germany by expressing diplomatic protest against some of Israel’s most brutal actions. (e.g. Spain, Norway, Ireland). It is certainly welcome that there are some countries where the pro-Palestine solidarity movement faces more or less no repression. However, it would be utterly wrong to view such governments as sincere allies in our struggle for the liberation of the Palestinian people. Irrespective of their rhetoric, they contribute to the Western policy of banning Palestinian resistance forces as “terrorist organisations” (e.g. Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, PFLP, etc.) and, at the same time, continue to keep economic and diplomatic relations with Israel. In fact, they have done so since the Nakba in 1948 despite the numerous crimes of the settler state. Socialists call workers and popular organisations around the world to organize a comprehensive campaign of boycott and sabotage against the Zionist state including mass mobilisations, strikes, and direct actions. Dockers should boycott arms deliveries for Israel, bank workers should sabotage financial transactions with the monster, Israeli goods should be boycotted and any form of collaboration in science, culture, sport and education must be stopped. Likewise, we call all semi-colonial countries to rupture relations with the Zionist entity.

 

* Two-State Solution. Since the capitulation of Arafat’s PLO, most bourgeois governments in the Middle East as well as globally support the so called two-state solution, i.e. the call for an independent Palestinian state alongside Israel. In fact, such a state – if it ever comes into existence given the Zionist rejection – would be a colonial Bantustan. Located in the impoverished and devastated areas of Westbank and Gaza, it would be economically completely dependent on Israel and politically and militarily subjugated to the goodwill of the Zionists. In other words, the two-state solution is either a useless illusion or a dangerous trap. The only solution is the destruction of the Zionist terror state and its replacement by a free and red Palestine from the River to the Sea. Such a secular and democratic Palestinian state would enable all refugees to return to their homes. At the same time, it would guarantee equal cultural and religious rights for all citizens (including the Jewish minority). It should be a workers and fellahin republic as part of a socialist federation of the Middle East.

 

* Illusions in liberal and reformist forces. Another wrong belief is the idea that “progressive” forces would be allies in the struggle for Palestine. Look what the “liberal” Biden government, the Labour government of Starmer, the German social democrats, etc. have done in the past two years! One might say that more left-wing figures like Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Zoran Mamdani, left-wing MPs of the British Labour Party, the German LINKE or the Spanish Sumar and PODEMOS are sincere allies of the Palestinian people. But, in reality, these forces are more radical only in rhetoric while they remain tied to the pro-Israeli Democrats in the U.S. respectively to imperialist government parties in Europe. Mélenchon’s LFI is certainly the most radical of these reformist forces and has faced state repression. Nevertheless, through is misguided popular-front policy, it is tied to explicit pro-Zionist parties like the PSF and the Greens. Objectively, these forces act as transmission belts to link the pro-Palestine movement to imperialist, pro-Zionist parties. Hence, socialists must fight against the influence of such forces within the solidarity movement. We say to these parties and figures that if they want to sincerely support the Palestinian people, they must unambiguously rupture all links to pro-Zionist and pro-imperialist parties and governments.

 

* Pacifism. Many forces protesting against Israel’s genocide wrongly oppose the armed struggle as a legitimate and necessary form of resistance. As a consequence, they refuse to side with Hamas, the Houthis or Iran against the Zionist aggressor. Such pacifism is a shameful and dangerous approach. The history of liberation struggles – from Spartacus, Aristonicus to the Yellow Turbans, from the peasant uprising on all continents to the French Revolution in 1789-94, from the Russian Revolution 1917 to the anti-colonial liberation struggles in the 20^th century – has demonstrated that the oppressed can not defeat the oppressors without answering violence with violence. Those who oppose violence in the liberation struggle are objectively agents of the oppressors, irrespective of their subjective intentions. Hence, socialists must fight against the influence of pacifist forces within the solidarity movement. At the same time, while the RCIT takes the military camp of those forces fighting the Zionist state or imperialist powers, we lend no political support to those (petty-)bourgeois forces leading the resistance.

 

* Guerillaism. While we acknowledge the necessity of arms in the struggle for liberation, we oppose the idea that it could succeed by guerilla tactics alone. The armed struggle must be integrated into the organization and mobilization of the masses. Likewise, the guerrilla fighters must be part of and controlled by the masses. We are, of course, aware that under the current conditions of Israel’s genocidal war, the Palestinian resistance has hardly any alternative to the tactics it currently employs. Furthermore, given the military superiority of Israel and the imperialist Great Powers, the liberation struggle must not be limited to a single country (or even an enclave like Gaza). The oppressors can only be defeated by the Arab Revolution aiming at the overthrow of the pro-imperialist regimes and their replacement with workers and peasant governments as well as by global mass mobilization aiming at the comprehensive boycott and sabotage against the Zionist enemy.

 

* Illusions in bourgeois Arab governments. Various forces in Arab and Muslim countries (like Hamas, Muslim Brotherhood) hope that pressure on their governments might help the Palestinian people to achieve liberation. Socialists certainly support putting pressure on such governments to rupture relations with Israel and to support the Palestinian resistance with aid and arms. We side with Arab and Muslim countries in any conflict with the Zionist monster and its imperialist backers. However, we also warn that while such regimes can be put under pressure to a certain degree under extraordinary circumstances, they are organically incapable of fighting consistently against the settler state. The military dictatorship of General Sisi in Egypt, the monarchies of Jordan, Morrocco and the Gulf states, the confessionalist regime in Lebanon, etc. – they are all integrated into the imperialist world system and politically and economically dependent on the Great Powers. Only the creation of workers and peasant governments based on popular councils and militias will allow the Arab and Muslim masses to wage a popular war against the oppressor.

 

* Illusions in the so-called “Axis of Resistance”. A number of supporters of the Palestinian liberation struggle hope that the so-called “Axis of Resistance” (a loose Shia-dominated regional alliance led by Iran) would be an effective instrument to stop the Israeli aggression. As a matter of fact, the capitalist Mullah dictatorship in Iran is primarily interested in self-preservation. Similarly, Hezbollah and the pro-Iranian forces in Iraq are deeply involved in maneuvers to get a share of power in their countries. As a result, Iran did not join the battle when Hamas and Hezbollah came under attack and the “Axis of Resistance” (with the exception of the Houthis) did not lift a finger when Israel and the U.S. attacked Iran in June 2025. Furthermore, it will forever be a mark of Cain that Iran and Hezbollah supported the brutal Assad tyranny against the Syrian people until the bitter end – a historic crime which irreversibly isolated these forces from the overwhelming majority (Sunni) of the Muslim people.

 

5.           Revolutionary communists advocate broad practical collaboration with other forces in order to defeat the Zionist/imperialist aggression. This is in accordance with the anti-imperialist united front tactic as it has been elaborated by the Communist International under Lenin and Trotsky. Such a united front tactic includes collaboration with reformist and petty-bourgeois forces and, in particular circumstances, even bourgeois forces of the oppressed. The decisive issue is that such collaboration is limited to unity in action while each force keeps its independent politics and has freedom of criticism. Such a tactic is relevant both in Palestine as well as globally (including in imperialist countries).

 

6.           However, it is in the nature of such united fronts that socialists will clash with reformist and (petty-)bourgeois forces since they all have different goals and tactics. Hence, socialists have to criticise the wrong policy of their political opponents and advocate their alternative strategy. They need to explain that a consistent strategy of class struggle is the precondition for victory against the Zionist/imperialist enemy. In the end, in order to achieve the liberation of the oppressed the reformist and petty-bourgeois misleadership needs to be replaced with revolutionary leadership.

 

7.           The RCIT opposes tactics aimed at splitting the solidarity movement as long as it continues to aim at mobilising the masses against the Zionist aggression. This is not the Zimmerwald movement in 1917 when the creation of the Third International was the task of the hour and the Bolsheviks met staunch resistance by the centre and the right wing. The pro-Palestine solidarity movement is not the nucleus of a new International, neither subjectively nor objectively. It is a broad united front for a limited goal – stopping the Zionist forever wars.

 

8.           The key task within in the pro-Palestine solidarity movement is the creation of an anti-imperialist and anti-Zionist pole. This means a bloc of revolutionaries together with forces which share the goal of replacing the Zionist entity with a Palestinian state and which side with the military struggles of the peoples resisting the Zionist/imperialist aggression. Naturally, while such a bloc would be based on important agreements, it would also include forces with different political viewpoints. However, such a bloc is legitimate and necessary as long as it is focused on practical actions and respects the freedom of propaganda and criticism of the participating forces.

 

9.           The RCIT and all authentic revolutionaries consider it as one of the key tasks in the current period to free the Palestinians and the oppressed peoples in the Middle East from the Zionist monster. It is a fact that the people in Gaza have already paid a horrible price facing nearly two years of genocide – one of the worst crimes of modern history which Gideon Levy, a columnist for Israel’s Haaretz newspaper, characterized by saying: “Israel is doing things that the Germans did in the early years of the Third Reich.” Supporting the heroic resistance struggle of the Palestinian people and combining it with a socialist perspective is therefore a litmus test for all those who claim to be Marxist and anti-imperialist. The struggle for building a new World Party of Socialist Revolution is inextricably linked with the struggle against Zionism and imperialism!

1. El levantamiento palestino del 7 de octubre de 2023 y las guerras eternas de Israel en Oriente Medio han provocado un masivo movimiento de solidaridad pro-Palestina que se extiende por todo el mundo. Este movimiento ha alcanzado proporciones y una importancia histórica similares a las del movimiento contra la guerra de Vietnam a finales de los años sesenta y principios de los setenta. Tiene un carácter mayoritariamente espontáneo y es más fuerte en los países musulmanes, así como en los países occidentales con una considerable población migrante. En el mundo musulmán, cuenta con el apoyo de numerosas fuerzas nacionalistas (pequeño)burguesas e islamistas, mientras que en los países occidentales se trata principalmente de organizaciones de migrantes musulmanes, así como de las fuerzas de izquierda y sindicalistas que no ceden ante la presión de la clase dirigente prosionista.

 

2. El movimiento ha enfrentado una represión severa y repetida. En Jordania, la monarquía prohibió a la Hermandad Musulmana, principal impulsora de las movilizaciones semanales ante la embajada de Israel en Amán. En Gran Bretaña, el gobierno laborista de Starmer ilegalizó Acción Palestina, una organización no violenta que ha llevado a cabo acciones directas contra corporaciones e infraestructuras proisraelíes. En varios países occidentales, activistas pro-Palestina han sido juzgados. Entre ellos se encuentra Michael Pröbsting, secretario internacional de nuestra organización, quien recibió una sentencia suspendida de seis meses de prisión por "aprobación e incitación a la comisión de delitos terroristas".

 

3. El movimiento de solidaridad pro-Palestina, por su propia naturaleza, es heterogéneo. Incluye a comunistas e islamistas, nacionalistas árabes y reformistas de izquierda, simpatizantes de Hamás, así como pacifistas liberales. La Corriente Comunista Revolucionaria Internacional (CCRI) ha participado activamente en este movimiento desde sus inicios. Siempre hemos valorado su carácter amplio y de frente unido. 4. Al mismo tiempo, los comunistas revolucionarios deben criticar las ideologías y fuerzas que desempeñan un papel engañoso en la lucha. Entre las más importantes se encuentran:

 

* Ilusiones en las Naciones Unidas. Una ilusión generalizada es la creencia de que la ONU es una institución capaz de detener las guerras eternas de Israel en Oriente Medio. De hecho, la ONU es una asamblea de gobiernos burgueses dominada por cinco grandes potencias imperialistas con poder de veto en todas y cada una de las decisiones. Entre ellas se encuentra Estados Unidos, aliado histórico de Israel desde hace mucho tiempo. Incluso si la ONU adoptara una resolución condenando a Israel, no tendría fuerza para implementar tales decisiones contra la voluntad de las grandes potencias. Es bien sabido que Israel mantiene relaciones políticas y económicas con todas las potencias imperialistas. El fracaso de la autodenominada "comunidad internacional" para detener la agresión de Rusia contra Ucrania es otro ejemplo de la impotencia de la ONU. Las grandes potencias acuerdan resoluciones y están dispuestas a implementarlas solo si se dirigen contra países del Sur Global, es decir, semicolonias dependientes. Un ejemplo de este consenso reaccionario son las sanciones que el Consejo de Seguridad de la ONU impuso contra Irán en 2006 debido a su deseo de desarrollar su propio programa nuclear (mientras que Israel nunca ha enfrentado sanciones a pesar de poseer entre 90 y 200 armas nucleares).

 

* Ilusiones en los gobiernos occidentales liberales. Varios gobiernos occidentales se han distinguido de Estados Unidos, Gran Bretaña y Alemania al expresar protestas diplomáticas contra algunas de las acciones más brutales de Israel (por ejemplo, España, Noruega e Irlanda). Es ciertamente positivo que existan algunos países donde el movimiento de solidaridad pro-Palestina se enfrenta prácticamente a la represión. Sin embargo, sería totalmente erróneo considerar a estos gobiernos como aliados sinceros en nuestra lucha por la liberación del pueblo palestino. Independientemente de su retórica, contribuyen a la política occidental de prohibir las fuerzas de resistencia palestinas como "organizaciones terroristas" (por ejemplo, Hamás, la Yihad Islámica Palestina, el FPLP, etc.) y, al mismo tiempo, continúan manteniendo relaciones económicas y diplomáticas con Israel. De hecho, lo han hecho desde la Nakba de 1948, a pesar de los numerosos crímenes del estado colono. Los socialistas llaman a los trabajadores y organizaciones populares de todo el mundo a organizar una campaña integral de boicot y sabotaje contra el estado sionista, que incluya movilizaciones masivas, huelgas y acciones directas. Los estibadores deben boicotear el envío de armas a Israel, los trabajadores bancarios deben sabotear las transacciones financieras con el monstruo, los productos israelíes deben ser boicoteados y debe cesar cualquier forma de colaboración en ciencia, cultura, deporte y educación. Asimismo, llamamos a todos los países semicoloniales a romper relaciones con la entidad sionista.

 

* Solución de dos Estados. Desde la capitulación de la OLP de Arafat, la mayoría de los gobiernos burgueses de Oriente Medio, así como del mundo entero, apoyan la llamada solución de dos Estados, es decir, la reivindicación de un Estado palestino independiente junto a Israel. De hecho, dicho Estado —si llegara a existir dado el rechazo sionista— sería un bantustán colonial. Ubicado en las zonas empobrecidas y devastadas de Cisjordania y Gaza, dependería económicamente por completo de Israel y estaría subyugado política y militarmente a la buena voluntad de los sionistas. En otras palabras, la solución de dos Estados es una ilusión inútil o una trampa peligrosa. La única solución es la destrucción del Estado terrorista sionista y su reemplazo por una Palestina libre y roja desde el río hasta el mar. Un Estado palestino laico y democrático como ese permitiría a todos los refugiados regresar a sus hogares. Al mismo tiempo, garantizaría la igualdad de derechos culturales y religiosos para todos los ciudadanos (incluida la minoría judía). Debería ser una república obrera y fellahin como parte de una federación socialista de Oriente Medio.

 

* Ilusiones en las fuerzas liberales y reformistas. Otra creencia errónea es la idea de que las fuerzas "progresistas" serían aliadas en la lucha por Palestina. ¡Observen lo que han hecho el gobierno "liberal" de Biden, el gobierno laborista de Starmer, los socialdemócratas alemanes, etc., en los últimos dos años! Se podría decir que figuras de izquierda como Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez y Zoran Mamdani, los diputados de izquierda del Partido Laborista británico, el LINKE alemán o los españoles Sumar y PODEMOS son aliados sinceros del pueblo palestino. Pero, en realidad, estas fuerzas son más radicales solo en la retórica, mientras que siguen vinculadas a los demócratas proisraelíes en Estados Unidos y a los partidos imperialistas en Europa. El LFI de Mélenchon es sin duda la más radical de estas fuerzas reformistas y ha sufrido represión estatal. Sin embargo, a través de su errónea política de frente popular, está vinculado a partidos explícitamente prosionistas como el PSF y Los Verdes. Objetivamente, estas fuerzas actúan como correas de transmisión para vincular el movimiento pro-Palestina con los partidos imperialistas y pro-sionistas. Por lo tanto, los socialistas deben luchar contra la influencia de estas fuerzas dentro del movimiento de solidaridad. Les decimos a estos partidos y figuras que, si desean apoyar sinceramente al pueblo palestino, deben romper rotundamente todos los vínculos con partidos y gobiernos pro-sionistas y pro-imperialistas.

 

* Pacifismo. Muchas fuerzas que protestan contra el genocidio de Israel se oponen erróneamente a la lucha armada como una forma legítima y necesaria de resistencia. En consecuencia, se niegan a aliarse con Hamás, los hutíes o Irán contra el agresor sionista. Este pacifismo es un enfoque vergonzoso y peligroso. La historia de las luchas de liberación —desde Espartaco y Aristóteles hasta los Turbantes Amarillos, desde el levantamiento campesino en todos los continentes hasta la Revolución Francesa de 1789-94, desde la Revolución Rusa de 1917 hasta las luchas de liberación anticoloniales del siglo XX— ha demostrado que los oprimidos no pueden derrotar a los opresores sin responder a la violencia con violencia. Quienes se oponen a la violencia en la lucha de liberación son objetivamente agentes de los opresores, independientemente de sus intenciones subjetivas. Por lo tanto, los socialistas deben luchar contra la influencia de las fuerzas pacifistas dentro del movimiento de solidaridad. Al mismo tiempo, si bien la CCRI asume el bando militar de las fuerzas que luchan contra el Estado sionista o las potencias imperialistas, no brindamos apoyo político a las fuerzas (pequeño)burguesas que lideran la resistencia.

 

* Guerrillerismo. Si bien reconocemos la necesidad de las armas en la lucha por la liberación, nos oponemos a la idea de que esta pueda triunfar únicamente mediante tácticas de guerrilla. La lucha armada debe integrarse en la organización y movilización de las masas. Asimismo, los guerrilleros deben formar parte de las masas y estar controlados por ellas. Somos conscientes, por supuesto, de que, en las condiciones actuales de la guerra genocida de Israel, la resistencia palestina apenas tiene alternativas a las tácticas que emplea. Además, dada la superioridad militar de Israel y las grandes potencias imperialistas, la lucha de liberación no debe limitarse a un solo país (ni siquiera a un enclave como Gaza). Los opresores solo pueden ser derrotados mediante la Revolución Árabe, que busca derrocar a los regímenes proimperialistas y reemplazarlos por gobiernos obreros y campesinos, así como mediante la movilización masiva global que busca el boicot y el sabotaje integrales contra el enemigo sionista.

 

* Ilusiones en los gobiernos árabes burgueses. Diversas fuerzas en países árabes y musulmanes (como Hamás y la Hermandad Musulmana) esperan que la presión sobre sus gobiernos ayude al pueblo palestino a lograr la liberación. Los socialistas, sin duda, apoyamos la presión sobre estos gobiernos para que rompan relaciones con Israel y apoyen la resistencia palestina con ayuda y armas. Nos solidarizamos con los países árabes y musulmanes en cualquier conflicto con el monstruo sionista y sus aliados imperialistas. Sin embargo, también advertimos que, si bien estos regímenes pueden verse sometidos a cierta presión en circunstancias extraordinarias, son incapaces de luchar consecuentemente contra el Estado colono. La dictadura militar del general Sisi en Egipto, las monarquías de Jordania, Marruecos y los países del Golfo, el régimen confesionalista del Líbano, etc., están todos integrados en el sistema imperialista mundial y dependen política y económicamente de las grandes potencias. Solo la creación de gobiernos obreros y campesinos basados en consejos y milicias populares permitirá a las masas árabes y musulmanas librar una guerra popular contra el opresor.

 

* Ilusiones en el llamado "Eje de la Resistencia". Muchos partidarios de la lucha de liberación palestina esperan que el llamado "Eje de la Resistencia" (una alianza regional informal dominada por chiíes y liderada por Irán) sea un instrumento eficaz para detener la agresión israelí. De hecho, la dictadura capitalista de los mulás en Irán busca principalmente su supervivencia. De igual manera, Hezbolá y las fuerzas proiraníes en Irak están profundamente involucrados en maniobras para obtener una parte del poder en sus países. Como resultado, Irán no se unió a la batalla cuando Hamás y Hezbolá fueron atacados, y el "Eje de la Resistencia" (con la excepción de los hutíes) no movió un dedo cuando Israel y Estados Unidos atacaron a Irán en junio de 2025. Además, será para siempre una marca de Caín que Irán y Hezbolá apoyaron la brutal tiranía de Asad contra el pueblo sirio hasta el final, un crimen histórico que aisló irreversiblemente a estas fuerzas de la abrumadora mayoría (suní) del pueblo musulmán. 5. Los comunistas revolucionarios abogan por una amplia colaboración práctica con otras fuerzas para derrotar la agresión sionista/imperialista. Esto concuerda con la táctica antiimperialista del frente único, elaborada por la Internacional Comunista bajo la dirección de Lenin y Trotsky. Esta táctica de frente único incluye la colaboración con fuerzas reformistas y pequeñoburguesas, e incluso, en circunstancias particulares, con las fuerzas burguesas de los oprimidos. La cuestión decisiva es que dicha colaboración se limita a la unidad de acción, manteniendo cada fuerza su política independiente y libertad de crítica. Esta táctica es relevante tanto en Palestina como a nivel mundial (incluidos los países imperialistas).

 

6. Sin embargo, es propio de estos frentes únicos que los socialistas se enfrenten a las fuerzas reformistas y (pequeño)burguesas, ya que todas tienen objetivos y tácticas diferentes. Por lo tanto, los socialistas deben criticar las políticas erróneas de sus oponentes políticos y defender su estrategia alternativa. Deben explicar que una estrategia consistente de lucha de clases es la condición previa para la victoria contra el enemigo sionista/imperialista. En definitiva, para lograr la liberación de los oprimidos, es necesario sustituir el liderazgo reformista y pequeñoburgués por un liderazgo revolucionario.

 

7. La CCRI se opone a las tácticas que buscan dividir el movimiento de solidaridad mientras este siga aspirando a movilizar a las masas contra la agresión sionista. Este no es el movimiento de Zimmerwald de 1917, cuando la creación de la Tercera Internacional era la tarea del momento y los bolcheviques encontraron una férrea resistencia del centro y la derecha. El movimiento de solidaridad pro-Palestina no es el núcleo de una nueva Internacional, ni subjetiva ni objetivamente. Es un frente unido amplio con un objetivo limitado: detener las guerras eternas sionistas.

 

8. La tarea clave dentro del movimiento de solidaridad pro-Palestina es la creación de un polo antiimperialista y antisionista. Esto implica un bloque de revolucionarios junto con fuerzas que comparten el objetivo de reemplazar la entidad sionista por un Estado palestino y que se alinean con las luchas militares de los pueblos que resisten la agresión sionista/imperialista. Naturalmente, si bien dicho bloque se basaría en acuerdos importantes, también incluiría fuerzas con diferentes puntos de vista políticos. Sin embargo, dicho bloque es legítimo y necesario siempre que se centre en acciones prácticas y respete la libertad de propaganda y crítica de las fuerzas participantes.

 

9. La CCRI y todos los auténticos revolucionarios consideran que una de las tareas clave del período actual es liberar a los palestinos y a los pueblos oprimidos de Oriente Medio del monstruo sionista. Es un hecho que el pueblo de Gaza ya ha pagado un precio terrible al enfrentarse a casi dos años de genocidio, uno de los peores crímenes de la historia moderna, que Gideon Levy, columnista del periódico israelí Haaretz, describió con estas palabras: “Israel está haciendo lo que los alemanes hicieron en los primeros años del Tercer Reich”. Apoyar la heroica lucha de resistencia del pueblo palestino y combinarla con una perspectiva socialista es, por lo tanto, una prueba de fuego para todos aquellos que se declaran marxistas y antiimperialistas. ¡La lucha por construir un nuevo Partido Mundial de la Revolución Socialista está inextricablemente ligada a la lucha contra el sionismo y el imperialismo!

1. Der palästinensische Aufstand vom 7. Oktober 2023 und Israels ewige Kriege im Nahen Osten haben eine massive Pro-Palästina-Solidaritätsbewegung ausgelöst, die sich weltweit ausbreitet. Diese Bewegung hat ähnliche Ausmaße und historische Bedeutung erlangt wie die Bewegung gegen den Vietnamkrieg in den späten 1960er und frühen 1970er Jahren. Sie hat einen weitgehend spontanen Charakter und ist in muslimischen Ländern sowie in westlichen Ländern mit einem beträchtlichen Bevölkerungsanteil von Migranten am stärksten vertreten. In der muslimischen Welt wird sie von zahlreichen (klein-)bürgerlich-nationalistischen und islamistischen Kräften unterstützt, während es in westlichen Ländern vor allem muslimische Migrantenorganisationen sowie jene linken und gewerkschaftlichen Kräfte sind, die dem Druck der pro-zionistischen herrschenden Klasse nicht nachgeben.

 

2. Die Bewegung war wiederholt schwerer Repression ausgesetzt. In Jordanien verbot die Monarchie die Muslimbruderschaft – die treibende Kraft hinter den wöchentlichen Demonstrationen vor der israelischen Botschaft in Amman. In Großbritannien verbot die Labour-Regierung unter Starmer Palestine Action, eine gewaltfreie Organisation, die direkte Aktionen gegen pro-israelische Unternehmen und Infrastruktur durchführte. In verschiedenen westlichen Ländern wurden pro-palästinensische Aktivistinnen und Aktivisten vor Gericht gestellt. Unter ihnen ist Michael Pröbsting, der Internationale Sekretär unserer Organisation, der wegen „Gutheißung und Aufforderung zu terroristischen Straftaten“ zu einer bedingten Haftstrafe von 6 Monaten verurteilt wurde.

 

3. Die Pro-Palästina-Solidaritätsbewegung ist naturgemäß heterogen. Sie umfasst Kommunisten, Islamisten, arabische Nationalisten, linke Reformisten, Hamas-Anhänger sowie liberale Pazifisten. Die Revolutionär-Kommunistische Internationale Tendenz (RCIT) hat sich von Anfang an aktiv an dieser Bewegung beteiligt. Wir haben stets den breiten Einheitsfrontcharakter dieser Bewegung begrüßt.

 

4. Gleichzeitig müssen revolutionäre Kommunistinnen und Kommunisten jene Ideologien und Kräfte kritisieren, die im Kampf eine irreführende Rolle spielen. Zu den wichtigsten gehören:

 

* Illusionen in die Vereinten Nationen. Eine weit verbreitete Illusion ist der Glaube, die UNO sei eine Institution, die Israels ewige Kriege im Nahen Osten beenden könne. Tatsächlich ist die UNO eine Versammlung bürgerlicher Regierungen, die von fünf imperialistischen Großmächten dominiert werden, die bei jeder Entscheidung ein Vetorecht haben. Zu diesen Mächten gehören auch die USA – Israels historischer langjähriger Verbündeter. Selbst wenn die UNO eine Resolution zur Verurteilung Israels verabschieden würde, gäbe es keine Macht, solche Entscheidungen gegen den Willen der Großmächte umzusetzen. Es ist bekannt, dass Israel politische und wirtschaftliche Beziehungen zu allen imperialistischen Mächten unterhält. Das Versagen der sogenannten „internationalen Gemeinschaft“, Russlands Aggression gegen die Ukraine zu stoppen, ist ein weiteres Beispiel für die Ohnmacht der UNO. Die Großmächte stimmen Resolutionen nur dann zu und setzen diese auch um, wenn sie sich gegen Länder des Globalen Südens, d. h. abhängige Halbkolonien, richten. Ein Beispiel für einen solchen reaktionären Konsens sind die Sanktionen, die der UN-Sicherheitsrat 2006 gegen den Iran verhängte, weil dieser ein eigenes Atomprogramm entwickeln wollte (während Israel trotz seines Besitzes von 90 bis 200 Atomwaffen nie mit Sanktionen belegt wurde).

 

* Illusionen in liberale westliche Regierungen. Mehrere westliche Regierungen haben sich von den USA, Großbritannien und Deutschland distanziert, indem sie diplomatischen Protest gegen einige der brutalsten Aktionen Israels zum Ausdruck brachten (z. B. Spanien, Norwegen, Irland). Es ist sicherlich erfreulich, dass es einige Länder gibt, in denen die pro-palästinensische Solidaritätsbewegung mehr oder weniger keiner Repression ausgesetzt ist. Es wäre jedoch völlig falsch, solche Regierungen als aufrichtige Verbündete in unserem Kampf für die Befreiung des palästinensischen Volkes zu betrachten. Ungeachtet ihrer Rhetorik unterstützen sie die westliche Politik, palästinensische Widerstandskräfte als „terroristische Organisationen“ zu verbieten (z. B. Hamas, Palästinensischer Islamischer Dschihad, PFLP usw.) und pflegen gleichzeitig weiterhin wirtschaftliche und diplomatische Beziehungen zu Israel. Tatsächlich tun sie dies seit der Nakba 1948, trotz der zahlreichen Verbrechen des Siedlerstaates. Sozialistinnen und Sozialisten rufen Arbeiter- und Volksorganisationen weltweit dazu auf, eine umfassende Boykott- und Sabotagekampagne gegen den zionistischen Staat zu organisieren, die Massenmobilisierungen, Streiks und direkte Aktionen umfasst. Hafenarbeiter sollten Waffenlieferungen an Israel boykottieren, Bankangestellte sollten Finanztransaktionen mit dem Monster sabotieren, israelische Waren sollten boykottiert und jegliche Form der Zusammenarbeit in Wissenschaft, Kultur, Sport und Bildung muss gestoppt werden. Ebenso rufen wir alle halbkolonialen Länder dazu auf, ihre Beziehungen zum zionistischen Staat abzubrechen.

 

* Zweistaatenlösung. Seit der Kapitulation von Arafats PLO unterstützen die meisten bürgerlichen Regierungen im Nahen Osten und weltweit die sogenannte Zweistaatenlösung, d. h. die Forderung nach einem unabhängigen palästinensischen Staat neben Israel. Tatsächlich wäre ein solcher Staat – sollte er angesichts der zionistischen Ablehnung jemals entstehen – ein koloniales Bantustan. Gelegen in den verarmten und zerstörten Gebieten des Westjordanlands und des Gazastreifens wäre es wirtschaftlich vollständig von Israel abhängig und politisch und militärisch dem Wohlwollen der Zionisten unterworfen. Mit anderen Worten: Die Zweistaatenlösung ist entweder eine nutzlose Illusion oder eine gefährliche Falle. Die einzige Lösung ist die Zerstörung des zionistischen Terrorstaates und seine Ersetzung durch ein freies und rotes Palästina vom Fluss bis zum Meer. Ein solcher säkularer und demokratischer palästinensischer Staat würde allen Flüchtlingen die Rückkehr in ihre Heimat ermöglichen. Gleichzeitig würde er allen Bürgern (einschließlich der jüdischen Minderheit) gleiche kulturelle und religiöse Rechte garantieren. Er sollte eine Arbeiter- und Fellachenrepublik als Teil einer sozialistischen Föderation des Nahen Ostens sein.

 

* Illusionen in liberale und reformistische Kräfte. Ein weiterer Irrglaube ist die Vorstellung, „progressive“ Kräfte seien Verbündete im Kampf um Palästina. Man sehe sich nur an, was die „liberale“ Biden-Regierung, die Labour-Regierung unter Starmer, die deutsche Sozialdemokratie usw. in den letzten zwei Jahren getan haben! Man könnte meinen, linkere Persönlichkeiten wie Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Occasion-Cortez und Zoran Mamdani, linke Abgeordnete der britischen Labour Party, der deutschen LINKEN oder der spanischen Sumar und PODEMOS seien aufrichtige Verbündete des palästinensischen Volkes. Doch in Wirklichkeit sind diese Kräfte nur rhetorisch radikaler, während sie weiterhin mit den pro-israelischen Demokraten in den USA bzw. den imperialistischen Regierungsparteien in Europa verbunden bleiben. Mélenchons LFI ist zweifellos die radikalste dieser reformistischen Kräfte und war staatlicher Repression ausgesetzt. Dennoch ist sie aufgrund ihrer fehlgeleiteten Volksfrontpolitik mit explizit pro-zionistischen Parteien wie der PSF und den Grünen verbunden. Objektiv betrachtet fungieren diese Kräfte als Transmissionsriemen, die die Pro-Palästina-Bewegung mit imperialistischen, pro-zionistischen Parteien verbinden. Daher müssen Sozialistinnen und Sozialisten den Einfluss solcher Kräfte innerhalb der Solidaritätsbewegung bekämpfen. Wir sagen diesen Parteien und Persönlichkeiten: Wenn sie das palästinensische Volk aufrichtig unterstützen wollen, müssen sie alle Verbindungen zu pro-zionistischen und pro-imperialistischen Parteien und Regierungen ohne Wenn und Aber abbrechen.

 

* Pazifismus. Viele Kräfte, die gegen den Völkermord Israels protestieren, lehnen den bewaffneten Kampf fälschlicherweise als legitime und notwendige Form des Widerstands ab. Infolgedessen weigern sie sich, sich auf die Seite der Hamas, der Houthis oder des Iran gegen den zionistischen Aggressor zu stellen. Ein solcher Pazifismus ist ein beschämender und gefährlicher Ansatz. Die Geschichte der Befreiungskämpfe – von Spartakus und Aristonikus bis zu den Gelben Turbanen, vom Bauernaufstand auf allen Kontinenten bis zur Französischen Revolution 1789-94, von der Russischen Revolution 1917 bis zu den antikolonialen Befreiungskämpfen des 20. Jahrhunderts – hat gezeigt, dass die Unterdrückten die Unterdrücker nicht besiegen können, ohne Gewalt mit Gewalt zu beantworten. Wer sich im Befreiungskampf der Gewalt widersetzt, ist objektiv ein Handlanger der Unterdrücker, unabhängig von seinen subjektiven Absichten. Daher müssen Sozialistinnen und Sozialisten den Einfluss pazifistischer Kräfte innerhalb der Solidaritätsbewegung bekämpfen. Gleichzeitig steht die RCIT zwar militärisch auf der Seite der Kräfte, die gegen den zionistischen Staat oder imperialistische Mächte kämpfen, unterstützt aber nicht die Politik der (klein-)bürgerlichen Kräfte, die den Widerstand anführen.

 

* Guerilla. Wir erkennen zwar die Notwendigkeit von Waffen im Befreiungskampf an, lehnen aber die Vorstellung ab, dass dieser allein durch Guerillataktiken erfolgreich sein könnte. Der bewaffnete Kampf muss in die Organisation und Mobilisierung der Massen integriert sein. Ebenso müssen die Guerillakämpfer Teil der Massen sein und von ihnen kontrolliert werden. Wir sind uns natürlich bewusst, dass der palästinensische Widerstand unter den gegenwärtigen Bedingungen des israelischen Völkermordkrieges kaum eine Alternative zu den von ihm angewandten Taktiken hat. Angesichts der militärischen Überlegenheit Israels und der imperialistischen Großmächte darf sich der Befreiungskampf zudem nicht auf ein einzelnes Land (oder gar eine Enklave wie Gaza) beschränken. Die Unterdrücker können nur durch die Arabische Revolution besiegt werden, die auf den Sturz der pro-imperialistischen Regime und ihre Ersetzung durch Arbeiter- und Bauernregierungen abzielt, sowie durch eine globale Massenmobilisierung, die auf einen umfassenden Boykott und Sabotageakt gegen den zionistischen Feind abzielt.

 

* Illusionen in bürgerliche arabische Regierungen. Verschiedene Kräfte in arabischen und muslimischen Ländern (wie die Hamas und die Muslimbruderschaft) hoffen, dass Druck auf ihre Regierungen dem palästinensischen Volk zur Befreiung verhelfen könnte. Sozialistinnen und Sozialisten unterstützen selbstverständlich den Druck auf solche Regierungen, die Beziehungen zu Israel abzubrechen und den palästinensischen Widerstand mit Hilfe und Waffen zu unterstützen. Wir stehen in jedem Konflikt mit dem zionistischen Monster und seinen imperialistischen Unterstützern an der Seite der arabischen und muslimischen Länder. Wir warnen jedoch auch davor, dass solche Regime zwar unter außergewöhnlichen Umständen bis zu einem gewissen Grad unter Druck gesetzt werden können, aber organisch unfähig sind, konsequent gegen den Siedlerstaat zu kämpfen. Die Militärdiktatur von General Sisi in Ägypten, die Monarchien Jordaniens, Marokkos und der Golfstaaten, das konfessionelle Regime im Libanon usw. – sie alle sind in das imperialistische Weltsystem integriert und politisch und wirtschaftlich von den Großmächten abhängig. Nur die Schaffung von Arbeiter- und Bauernregierungen auf der Grundlage von Volksräten und Milizen wird es den arabischen und muslimischen Massen ermöglichen, einen Volkskrieg gegen den Unterdrücker zu führen.

 

* Illusionen in die sogenannte „Achse des Widerstands“. Einige Unterstützer des palästinensischen Befreiungskampfes hoffen, dass die sogenannte „Achse des Widerstands“ (ein loses, von Schiiten dominiertes regionales Bündnis unter iranischer Führung) ein wirksames Instrument zur Eindämmung der israelischen Aggression sein könnte. Tatsächlich ist die kapitalistische Mullah-Diktatur im Iran in erster Linie an Selbsterhaltung interessiert. Ebenso sind die Hisbollah und die pro-iranischen Kräfte im Irak tief in Manöver verstrickt, um einen Teil der Macht in ihren Ländern zu erlangen. Infolgedessen griff der Iran nicht in den Kampf ein, als Hamas und Hisbollah attackiert wurden, und die „Achse des Widerstands“ (mit Ausnahme der Houthis) rührte keinen Finger, als Israel und die USA im Juni 2025 den Iran angriffen. Darüber hinaus wird es für immer ein Kainsmal sein, dass der Iran und Hisbollah die brutale Tyrannei Assads gegen das syrische Volk bis zum bitteren Ende unterstützten – ein historisches Verbrechen, das diese Kräfte unwiderruflich von der überwältigenden Mehrheit (Sunniten) des muslimischen Volkes isolierte.

 

5. Revolutionäre Kommunistinnen und Kommunisten befürworten eine breite praktische Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Kräften, um die zionistisch-imperialistische Aggression zu besiegen. Dies steht im Einklang mit der antiimperialistischen Einheitsfronttaktik, wie sie von der Kommunistischen Internationale unter Lenin und Trotzki ausgearbeitet wurde. Eine solche Einheitsfronttaktik beinhaltet die Zusammenarbeit mit reformistischen und kleinbürgerlichen Kräften und, unter besonderen Umständen, sogar mit bürgerlichen Kräften der Unterdrückten. Entscheidend ist, dass sich diese Zusammenarbeit auf gemeinsames Handeln beschränkt, während jede Kraft ihre politische Unabhängigkeit behält und Freiheit der Kritik genießt. Diese Taktik ist sowohl in Palästina als auch weltweit (auch in imperialistischen Ländern) relevant.

 

6. Es liegt jedoch in der Natur solcher Einheitsfronten, dass Sozialistinnen und Sozialisten Konflikte mit reformistischen und (klein-)bürgerlichen Kräften haben, da diese unterschiedliche Ziele und Taktiken verfolgen. Daher müssen sie die falsche Politik ihrer politischen Gegner kritisieren und für alternative Strategie eintreten. Sie müssen erklären, dass eine konsequente Klassenkampfstrategie die Voraussetzung für den Sieg über den zionistischen/imperialistischen Feind ist. Um die Befreiung der Unterdrückten zu erreichen, muss die reformistische und kleinbürgerliche Fehlführung letztlich durch eine revolutionäre Führung ersetzt werden.

 

7. Die RCIT lehnt Taktiken ab, die auf die Spaltung der Solidaritätsbewegung abzielen, solange diese weiterhin darauf abzielt, die Massen gegen die zionistische Aggression zu mobilisieren. Dies ist nicht die Zimmerwalder Bewegung von 1917, als die Schaffung der Dritten Internationale die Aufgabe der Stunde war und die Bolschewiki auf heftigen Widerstand des Zentrums und des rechten Flügels stießen. Die Pro-Palästina-Solidaritätsbewegung ist weder subjektiv noch objektiv der Kern einer neuen Internationale. Sie ist eine breite Einheitsfront für ein begrenztes Ziel: die Beendigung der ewigen zionistischen Kriege.

 

8. Die zentrale Aufgabe innerhalb der Pro-Palästina-Solidaritätsbewegung ist die Schaffung eines antiimperialistischen und antizionistischen Pols. Dies bedeutet einen Block von Revolutionären mit Kräften, die das Ziel teilen, das zionistische Gebilde durch einen palästinensischen Staat zu ersetzen und die sich auf die militärische Seite der Völker stellen, die sich der zionistisch-imperialistischen Aggression widersetzen. Ein solcher Block würde zwar auf wichtigen Vereinbarungen basieren, aber auch Kräfte mit unterschiedlichen politischen Ansichten umfassen. Ein solcher Block ist jedoch legitim und notwendig, solange er sich auf praktische Maßnahmen konzentriert und die Freiheit der Propaganda und Kritik der beteiligten Kräfte respektiert.

 

9. Die RCIT und alle authentischen Revolutionäre betrachten es als eine der zentralen Aufgaben der gegenwärtigen Periode, die Palästinenser und die unterdrückten Völker im Nahen Osten vom zionistischen Monster zu befreien. Tatsache ist, dass die Menschen in Gaza bereits einen schrecklichen Preis bezahlt haben: Sie haben fast zwei Jahre lang Völkermord erlebt – eines der schlimmsten Verbrechen der modernen Geschichte. Gideon Levy, Kolumnist der israelischen Zeitung Haaretz, charakterisierte dies mit den Worten: „Israel tut Dinge, die die Deutschen in den frühen Jahren des Dritten Reichs taten.“ Die Unterstützung des heldenhaften Widerstandskampfes des palästinensischen Volkes und seine Verbindung mit einer sozialistischen Perspektive ist daher ein Lackmustest für alle, die sich als Marxisten und Antiimperialisten bezeichnen. Der Kampf für den Aufbau einer neuen Weltpartei der sozialistischen Revolution ist untrennbar mit dem Kampf gegen Zionismus und Imperialismus verbunden!
