Vienna: Rally in Support of the pro-Palestine Activist Ahmed Hilal

Report (with photos and videos) from a rally in Vienna on 16 December 2025, Austrian section of the RCIT, www.thecommunists.net

About 50 people assembled in front of the penal institution Wien-Josefstadt to show their support for Ahmed Hilal. Ahmed is a long-time pro-Palestine activist who was arrested at a demonstration on 29 November for shouting “Palestine will be free – from the River to the Sea!”. The rally was organized by the Arab Palestine Club.

Several speakers addressed the rally, including Michael Pröbsting, International Secretary of the RCIT. In his speech, he expressed our solidarity with Ahmed and emphasised that his arrest is an attack on the whole pro-Palestine movement. He also condemned the recent repression against the solidarity initiative Dar al-Janub.

Michael explained that the repression against pro-Palestine activists is not accidental. He himself got a suspended sentence of six months in prison for “approval and incitement to commit terrorist offenses“ because he publicly expressed his solidarity with the armed resistance of the Palestinian people. In fact such repression is the reaction of the state to the global political shift in public opinion against Israel. The ruling class hopes to deter us – but they will not succeed in this! We will continue to fight – for freedom of Ahmed and freedom of Palestine!

November bei einer Demonstration festgenommen wurde, weil er „Palestine will be free – from the River to the Sea!“ rief.

45th Emergency Action in Ulsan for Peace in Palestine

Report by the Workers' Revolutionary Party (Preparation Group) [RCIT Section in South Korea], 13 December 2025, https://blog.wrpkorea.org

This emergency action was organized as a solidarity initiative demanding peace, freedom, and liberation for the Palestinian people, in opposition to Israel’s genocidal violence and occupation in Gaza, as well as the United States and other complicit forces that protect and support these crimes.

The campaign brought together comrades from a wide range of labour, social, and political organizations, including the Ulsan Regional Headquarters of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU), the Ulsan Branch of the Korean Metal Workers’ Union, the Hyundai Glovis Ulsan Chapter, the Hyundai Motor Non-Regular Workers’ Union, dismissed workers from Isu Corporation, the Memorial Association for the Spirit of Martyrs Seo Young-ho and Yang Bong-su, Bread and Roses, the Workers’ Revolutionary Party (Preparatory Committee), and activists from March to Socialism. The action once again demonstrated the breadth and depth of the Palestine solidarity movement that has been continuously built in the Ulsan region.

The Palestine solidarity campaign has been sustained for more than two years. Although some comrades were unable to participate on the ground due to year-end and New Year schedules, post-election leadership transitions within unions and organizations, and other ongoing struggles, the solidarity movement in Ulsan for the peace and liberation of Palestine has never ceased, even for a moment. These repeated emergency actions clearly show that this is not a one-time expression of solidarity, but a continuous resistance against imperialist war and colonial occupation.

Speakers at the rally emphasized that the reality facing Palestine has not improved at all, even after the formal declaration of a ceasefire. They highlighted Israel’s repeated violations during the implementation of the first phase of the ceasefire, as well as the tense and dangerous political situation surrounding the prospect of a second phase. The speakers stressed that the Palestinian question is neither a “finished war” nor a “resolved issue.”

They further exposed the fact that the unilateral and coercive ceasefire framework led by the United States failure to guarantee genuine peace, while Israel continues its so-called “low-intensity” genocidal violence and destruction, maintaining occupation over more than 53% of the Gaza Strip. Claiming that the genocide has ended simply because the frequency of airstrikes has decreased is a blatant deception. As long as occupation and blockade persist, the suffering of the Palestinian people will inevitably continue.

Participants also shared that regional mediators in the Middle East and several Arab states are demanding, ahead of the second phase of the ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, the fulfillment of responsibilities by the United States and Israel for the reconstruction of Gaza, and the lifting of the blockade and stabilization of the territory. It was reaffirmed that a genuine ceasefire and lasting peace require far more than a temporary halt to fighting. The following conditions are indispensable:

* the complete withdrawal of Israel from all occupied territories,

* the full lifting of the blockade on Gaza, and

* a significant expansion of humanitarian aid and its unrestricted entry.

Particular emphasis during this emergency action was placed on the responsibility of the South Korean government and South Korean capital. Speakers strongly condemned the South Korean government, arms manufacturers, HD Hyundai, the Korea National Oil Corporation (KNOC), and Dana Petroleum for their direct and indirect complicity in Israel’s war crimes and genocide through weapons exports and energy and resource extraction projects.

On November 26, an International Day of Action rally was held in front of the headquarters of the Korea National Oil Corporation in Ulsan, opposing the plunder of natural resources in the maritime area off Gaza. At that rally, participants demanded that KNOC provide an official response within one month regarding the suspension of its resource extraction activities linked to Gaza. However, more than 15 days have passed without any response from KNOC, which has remained silent. This silence was clearly identified as a de facto evasion of responsibility and tacit consent to complicity in war crimes.

In response, participants once again confirmed the necessity of stronger actions capable of forcing accountability from KNOC and other corporations complicit in war and genocide. A firm determination was shared on the ground that silence and inaction will not be tolerated.

In closing, participants in the Ulsan Palestine solidarity campaign reaffirmed their commitment to continue the struggle until Israel withdraws from the occupied territories, the blockade on Gaza is fully lifted, and humanitarian aid is significantly expanded. With this determination, the 45th Emergency Action came to an end. This struggle was reaffirmed not merely as an act of solidarity with Palestine, but as an integral part of an international and class-based struggle against imperialist war, colonial domination, and war profiteering.

12 13, https://blog.wrpkorea.org/

Free, Free Palestine!

From the river to the sea - Palestine will be free!

South Korea: International Day of Action on November 26 against KNOC & Dana Petroleum

The Struggle for Palestinian Liberation and Anti-Imperialism Echoes in Ulsan

Report by the Workers' Revolutionary Party (Preparation Group) [RCIT Section in South Korea], 26 November 2025, https://blog.wrpkorea.org

On November 26, an international day of action for Palestinian liberation was held in front of the headquarters of the Korea National Oil Corporation (KNOC) in Ulsan. This action was not a symbolic gesture of solidarity – it was a clear declaration of opposition to the imperialist war economy that openly collaborates in war crimes through the plunder of gas resources off the coast of Gaza.

The resource extraction project in the waters off Gaza, involving KNOC and Dana Petroleum, stands as an extension of Israel’s colonial occupation regime that militarily dominates the Palestinian people. We firmly oppose this project, understanding it as part of the global energy-domination structure created by U.S. imperialism, in which Korean capital plays a subordinate and complicit role.

Simultaneous solidarity actions were also held in Scotland and London. These coordinated protests demonstrate that workers and oppressed people across the world are uniting as a single front against imperialism.

* * * * *

Speeches from the Rally

Hanna (Activist, Korea Civil Society Emergency Solidarity for Palestine)

“Nearly 70,000 Palestinians have been killed… Israel can resume mass killing at any moment, and even now it continues its ‘low-intensity genocide.’”

“And now KNOC is joining hands with Israel, taking part in war crimes!”

---

Saleh al-Rantisi (Refugee activist from Gaza)

“Gaza’s power plant depends entirely on fuel. But that fuel is controlled by Israel…”

“Any deal that strengthens the occupying power by relying on stolen resources is complicity in war crimes!”

---

Eun-hye (Executive Director, Climate Justice Alliance)

“There is about 655 trillion KRW worth of gas off the coast of Gaza… We refuse to stand by while fossil-fuel capital commits war crimes!”

---

Kim Eun-jung (Steering Committee Member, Emergency Action for Climate Crisis)

“South Korea is the world’s 9th largest consumer of oil and gas, and 4th largest importer! This is hypocrisy.”

---

Byun Joo-hyun (Hyundai Heavy Industries Subcontract Workers Union)

“The excavators we build… Workers must oppose this!”

---

Lee Hyun-sook (Co-Representative, Ulsan Climate Emergency Action)

“In Ulsan—a city dominated by energy capital – we firmly refuse to become accomplices to genocide!”

---

All these speeches converge on a single conclusion: Without dismantling the imperialist system—a global order that subordinates human life to capitalist profit—there can be no liberation for Palestine.

---

Ground Message Action

Participants wrote and shouted messages directly onto the road in front of the main gate:

“Free Free Palestine!”

“NO KOREAN OIL!”

“Palestine Liberation!”

“Gaza Sea is Palestine’s!”

“Not support—Opposition!”

“Gaza Sea is Not for Sale!”

This transformed one of the most ordinary public spaces into a space of resistance.

---

Our Demands

1) Immediate withdrawal from the illegal exploration project in the Gaza Sea

2) Acknowledge and apologize for complicity in war crimes

3) Establish human-rights–based principles for all business operations

4) Provide an official response within one month

---

March and Delivery of Statement

Participants marched to the main gate of KNOC and delivered the statement directly to the company. The action concluded with powerful chants and a renewed commitment to international solidarity.

---

Analysis

Palestinian liberation is a central frontline of the global anti-imperialist struggle.

Energy resources are the lifeline of modern imperialism

Korean capital is entangled in the U.S.–Israel war economy

Therefore, the struggle in Ulsan is inherently part of the international anti-imperialist movement

And we state firmly: As long as genocide is fueled, no ceasefire can bring real peace. As long as colonial plunder continues, no corporation can claim “neutrality.”

---

Only the united struggle of the world’s workers and oppressed peoples can free Palestine!

Destroy the imperialist war economy!

Struggle!

“Free Free Palestine!”

“Gaza Sea is Not for Sale!”

France: Manifestation in Support of the Palestinian People

Report (with pictures) by the RCIT France, 30 November 2025, www.thecommunists.net

On 30 November, on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, more than 85 organisations, trade unions, associations and political parties called for demonstrations in the streets of Paris. Between 8,900 (according to the police headquarters) and 50,000 demonstrators (according to the organisers) took to the streets of the capital.

While the number of demonstrators may seem small, especially compared to those seen during the movement against the 2026 budget law*, it is important to remember that the demonstration was confined to Paris, preventing many activists from the rest of France from participating. It is interesting to note the presence of many prominent political figures, notably the leader of La France Insoumise, Jean-Luc Mélanchon, as well as representatives of other parties that had been (and still remain) ambiguous in their support for the Palestinian people. Thus, despite its repeated refusals until 2024 to participate in certain pro-Palestinian demonstrations, the French ‘Communist’ Party was present.

For the occasion, the Ministry of the Interior deployed its usual repressive measures, although in this case, there was almost no tension. At the end of the day, three arrests were reported.

The slogans, like the demands, were fairly consensual, with most organisations calling only for a permanent ceasefire and an ‘autonomous’ Palestinian government in a Palestinian state neighbouring Israel. The slogans ‘free free Palestine’ and 'Nous sommes tous des enfants de Gaza' (‘we are all children of Gaza’) dominated the march and were widely echoed, particularly by trade unions and parliamentary parties. While a clear criticism of the genocidal Israeli state was shared by all – 'Israël assassine les enfants de Palestine' (‘Israel murders the children of Palestine’) – it did not call for any concrete action. The same was true of the French government, which has shamefully supported Zionist imperialism; despite the criticism of 'Israël assassin, Macron complice' (‘Israel assassin, Macron accomplice’), the crowd did not call for any action, either nationally or internationally. It is important to note, however, the commitment of a section of young people who, faced with the moderation of their elders and their ' strategic ' silence, proposed a clear alternative embodied by the slogan 'Et vive la lutte armée du peuple palestinien' (‘Long live the armed struggle of the Palestinian people’).

During this demonstration, comrades from the RCIT in France were able to spread our ideas through our newspaper and discussions with many demonstrators, registering some of them as new contacts. In doing so, they highlighted the trap that is the two-state solution and the recourse to international law, an empty shell incapable of ending the oppression of the Palestinian people.

Argentina: Successful Direct Action against Fascists!

Report by Convergencia Socialista (Argentinean section of the Revolutionary Communist International Tendency), 29.11.2025, https://convergenciadecombate.blogspot.com

This Saturday, November 29th, a group of former military officers, participants in the last dictatorship and with strong ties to the government of Javier Milei, attempted to hold a demonstration in front of the Government House in Plaza de Mayo, demanding the release of military personnel convicted of crimes against humanity.

The mobilization of Argentine workers and the people, together with the left and human rights organizations, achieved the defeat of the last military dictatorship and the trials against the leaders of the de facto government. This event is unique in Latin America and demonstrates the profound democratic conviction of the majority of the Argentine people.

Since the presidential election campaign and throughout the current administration, Milei's supporters have campaigned by denying the genocide committed by the army and demanding the release of imprisoned repressors.

This is not the first time a group with fascist leanings has carried out such acts. On previous occasions, our party, Convergencia socialista (Argentinean section of the RCIT), has led mobilizations against these demonstrations, confronting the fascists wherever they appeared.

This 29th November, our party appeared in Plaza de Mayo, along with another organization and independent activists, to confront these fascists and prevent them from occupying the plaza, a symbolic site for the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo who fought against the dictatorship.

Faced with our presence, this group of defenders of genocide had to take refuge behind police barricades, while a few dozen activists chanted slogans against the dictatorship and defended the historic space won by the people.

We do not debate with fascism – we fight them!

Argentina: Solidarity with Comrade Ramón Contreras and the Pensioners' Struggle

Report by Convergencia Socialista (Argentinean section of the Revolutionary Communist International Tendency), 14.11.2025, https://convergenciadecombate.blogspot.com

More than two weeks ago, during a pensioners' demonstration, held every Wednesday to protest President Javier Milei's austerity plan, a group of police officers assaulted Comrade Ramón Contreras, who suffered a broken shoulder from the fall.

Ramón is a longtime Trotskyist activist. He was a member of the Movement Towards Socialism (MAS) and Convergencia Socialista, our party, to which he remains very close. He was a worker and activist in the health sector and also participated in the construction workers' union (SITRAIC), where he was involved in major struggles and confrontations with the gangs of the union bureaucracy. Today, as an active fighter among pensioners, he suffered from the brutal repression of the Milei government.

Our party, Convergencia Socialista, together with pensioners' groups and human rights organizations, launched a campaign demanding justice for Ramón. Two successful meetings have already been held with a wide range of sectors and prominent figures who expressed their solidarity with our comrade, including former members of parliament from the Left Front (FITu) and the human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Adolfo Pérez Esquivel.

The campaign will continue, alongside the pensioners' struggle, to stop the repression and end the austerity measures of the Milei government.

“Carrying Forward the Spirit of Jeon Tae-il”

The 2025 National Workers’ Rally: Beyond the Logic of Plunder, Toward the Perspective of Workers’ Liberation

Report by the Workers' Revolutionary Party (Preparation Group) [RCIT Section in South Korea], 8 November 2025, https://blog.wrpkorea.org

After the Trump–Lee Jae-myung Agreement: The Simplification and Distortion of the Exploitation Narrative

On November 8, 2025, the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in central Seoul was filled with a sea of workers’ flags and ringing chants. Yet amid the passion and determination, an uncomfortable truth was present.

At this year’s National Workers’ Rally, the slogan “Trump is plundering South Korea” once again echoed through the crowd — a cry that revealed not only anger but also the political poverty of its logic. This slogan reflects a mixture of long-standing anti-imperialist sentiment and nationalist emotion within parts of the progressive movement, but it is far from sufficient to explain the reality of today.

Trump’s economic policies are undeniably imperialist. However, viewing the situation solely through the lens of “South Korea as a victim” blurs the true nature of South Korean capitalism today.

South Korea is not merely a victim of imperialism. South Korea itself is an imperialist state. Although it is not a super-imperialist power like the United States, it has developed into an imperialist country that exports capital and extracts profits by exploiting cheap labour and natural resources across Asia and the Global South.

Chaebol conglomerates such as Samsung, Hyundai, POSCO, and Hanwha operate factories in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa — driving local workers into poverty, destroying the environment, and siphoning enormous profits back to Korean capital. This is the concrete reality of Korean imperialism today.

Nevertheless, some forces on the South Korean left still remain trapped in a victim mentality, claiming “we are being exploited by imperialism.” But South Korea is no longer a semi-colony; it is a capitalist-imperialist state that itself participates in global exploitation. Failing to recognize this reality means losing direction both in analysis and in strategy for struggle.

The Workers’ Revolutionary Party (Preparatory Committee) expressed our position clearly at the rally: “Imperialism is not only the United States. It is a structural violence carried out by all capitalist powers in the final stage of capitalism. South Korea is part of this structure, and the liberation of the working class begins not with a sense of victimhood, but with a sense of responsibility.

The South Korean labour movement must no longer speak the language of victimhood, but rather the language of international workers’ revolution. True anti-imperialism does not mean lamenting “our own suffering,” but uniting with the oppressed peoples of the world to overthrow the imperialist order itself.

The DDP Scene Workers Flags and Democracy in the Streets

By 3 p.m., the plaza in front of the DDP was overflowing with the flags of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU). Regional branches, industrial unions, and social organizations lined up side-by-side.

The entire square resembled a small city. On one side, a workers’ choir sang “March for the Beloved,” while on another, young workers distributed leaflets calling for “the abolition of precarious work.” The autumn wind swept across the banners, and slogans fluttered in the air.

The KCTU put forward three main demands:

1. Recognition of labour rights for special-employment and platform workers

2. Institutionalization of cross-industry bargaining

3. Guarantee of the right to stop unsafe work

Young workers, women, platform workers, and migrant labourers took turns speaking on stage:

We can be fired with a single piece of paper and judged by a single line of code.

Care labourers work ten hours a day and earn barely 1.2 million won a month.

Migrant workers in workplaces, and disabled workers in the streets — all face the same system of exploitation.

Different voices converged into one declaration: “All workers are one.

When the march began, the streets of Jangchungdan-ro and Eulji-ro became a river of flags.  In front of the Sejong Hotel, where dismissed workers have been holding a rooftop protest, participants chanted: “Dismissal is murder!” and “Workers will change the world!

The voice of Jeon Tae-il from fifty-five years ago once again echoed through the streets of today’s Seoul.

The National Disabled Workers Rally A Struggle in the Name of Rights

Earlier that same day at 1 p.m., before the main rally at the DDP, another important struggle took place — the 3rd National Disabled Workers’ Rally, a movement that broadens the very horizon of the labour struggle.

Held in front of the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled (Seoul headquarters) near Chungmuro Station Exit 5, it was organized by the National Association for Rights-Based Public Jobs for Severely Disabled Persons and the National Solidarity for the Elimination of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities (Jeon Jang Yeon).

Thirteen organizations participated, including several KCTU branches, disability rights groups, the Homeless Action, the Coalition Against Poverty, and the Workers’ Revolutionary Party (Preparatory Committee).

Their slogan was simple yet urgent: “Abolish discrimination against severely disabled workers! Institutionalize rights-based public jobs!

Recently, the Seoul Metropolitan Government has reduced public job programs for disabled people, and Mayor Oh Se-hoon’s budget cuts have pushed many disabled workers to the brink. Participants shouted, “This is not the end of a contract — it’s a dismissal!” This was not an administrative issue but a violation of the right to live and to work.

One speaker, with a trembling voice, declared: “When we cannot work, it is not because of our disabilities, but because of the barriers society has built. The city must recognize us not as objects of protection, but as workers with rights.

From the Employment Agency, the march continued to the DDP. Wheelchairs filled the city streets, moving forward slowly but resolutely. “Guarantee public jobs!”, “Ensure mobility rights!”, “Disabled people are workers too!” echoed through the crowd.

This march was more than a protest — it was a political action that shook the able-bodied hierarchy of South Korean society.

The Flame of Jeon Tae-il Still Burns

Fifty-five years have passed since Jeon Tae-il shouted, “Observe the Labor Standards Act!” before setting himself ablaze in 1970. His cry was not simply about the law — it was a declaration of human dignity by the working class. The 2025 National Workers’ Rally was a reaffirmation of that spirit.

Yet Jeon Tae-il’s cry remains unfinished. His successors are still fighting in the streets — in factories, hospitals, care centres, and workplaces of disabled people. Everywhere, workers raise the same chant: “We are no longer beings to be protected. We are beings who struggle.

Vienna: Rally Against Ongoing Israeli Terror in Gaza

Report (with photos and videos) from a demonstration in Vienna on 8 November 2025, Austrian section of the RCIT, www.thecommunists.net

Nearly 200 people gathered in Vienna's city centre for a rally to protest the ongoing Israeli bombing and blockade of the population in Gaza – despite the so-called ceasefire. The rally was organized by Handala Palestinian Cultural Forum and led by Daniela and Noura.

Several speakers addressed the rally, including Michael Pröbsting, International Secretary of the RCIT. In his speech, he emphasized that despite two years of genocide, the Zionist settler state has not been able to defeat the Palestinian resistance. At the same time, he also pointed to the difficult situation and the dangers posed to the people by the so-called Trump "peace plan."

Michael warned against disarming the Palestinian resistance, which he said would only leave the people defenceless against Zionist terror. He also rejected the deployment of a so-called "International Stabilization Force," whose mission would be to disarm and control the Palestinian people. He stated that foreign troops are only welcome on the condition that they submit to Palestinian command and fight against the settler state.

In conclusion, Michael emphasized the importance of strengthening the international boycott campaign against Israel. He also stressed the need to revive the Arab Spring, as the tyrants are the main pillars of the Zionist state.

Report by the Revolutionary Workers Front (Sri Lanka), 3rd November 2025, www.thecommunists.net

Over the past year, various politicians and several organizations have continuously issued hateful statements against the LGBTIQ community that have provoked the public. Even the current government of the supposedly left-wing National People's Power is avoiding this issue.

Last year, on 11 July 2024, Chanu Nimesha, Niranjan Maddumage, Damith Chandimal from the “Movement for the People's Council” submitted a complaint to the Criminal Investigation Department. Today, Chanu held a press conference about the ongoing discrimination of the LGBTIQ community.

She stated, among others, her protest against hateful statements made by Angoda Kashyapa Thero, Wimal Weerawansa and also by the so-called “Mothers' Front”. She added: ”We condemn these statements. The government needs to look into this. (…) These are the rights that the LGBTIQ community should receive."

Chanu Nimesha is a well-known LGBTIQ activist in Sri Lanka as she was the first transgender candidate to contest in a general election in Sri Lanka when she stood as a candidate for the “Socialist Party of Sri Lanka” at the 2024 parliamentary elections.

South Korea: “We Are All Palestine”

Nationwide Action in Seoul Marks Two Years of the Gaza Genocide, with Marches and Protests Across Downtown

Report by the Workers' Revolutionary Party (Preparation Group) [RCIT Section in South Korea], 20 October 2025, https://blog.wrpkorea.org

At 4 p.m. on 18 October 2025, a “National Rally to Denounce Two Years of Israel’s Genocide in Gaza” was held in front of Bosingak in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

Organized by the „Emergency Action of Korean Civil Society in Solidarity with Palestine“, the rally drew roughly 3,000 people from across the country, who chanted: “I am also Palestine,” “Palestine decides its own future,” and “A ceasefire is the beginning; liberation is the goal.

More than 300 labour and civil society organizations co-hosted the event. Participants condemned Israel’s massacres, called for Palestinian liberation and an end to the occupation, and denounced the responsibility of imperialist powers.

Violence Continues Despite the “Peace Initiative”

Although Israel and Hamas agreed to the first phase of U.S. President Donald Trump’s “Peace Initiative,” the Palestinian people were thoroughly excluded from the negotiations.

Even after the ceasefire took effect, airstrikes and gunfire continued across the Gaza Strip; according to Al Jazeera, 28 residents were shot dead by Israeli forces.

The UN humanitarian agency urged “unhindered access,” stating that Israeli road blockades have made the entry of relief supplies nearly impossible. Critics argue that the ceasefire is not genuine peace, but merely a mechanism for maintaining the Zionist occupation regime.

“Israel Is Not the Only Culprit”

Lee Young-ah, an activist with the “Peace & Disarmament Center of People’s Solidarity for Participatory Democracy“, pointed out that “South Korea has expanded military cooperation with Israel and continued arms exports even after October 2023.”

She added, “When Netanyahu addressed the UN General Assembly, diplomats from 77 countries walked out in protest, yet the Korean government remained seated to the end,” urging the government to completely review its diplomatic and economic relations with Israel.

In a statement, the organizers stressed that “the protracted massacre is not Israel’s crime alone but that of the entire imperialist alliance,” condemning the South Korean government as a joint accomplice.

Responsibility of Korean Capital: “Excavators Became Tools of Massacre”

Byun Ju-hyun, a dismissed worker and member of the Hyundai Heavy Industries subcontractors’ union, revealed that HD Hyundai Construction Equipment sold excavators to the Israeli intermediary “EFCO,” which have been used in the illegal occupation of Palestinian territories.

It is devastating to know that the company I hope to return to next year is continuing such deals,” Byun said, adding, “Corporations must stop offering irresponsible excuses, cut business with Israel, and end any support for the massacre.”

“Let’s Build New Connections” — Remarks by Activist „Haecho“

Haecho, an activist with the „Thousand Madleens“ relief flotilla, emphasized that “the world is interconnected. We must replace the horrific links of complicity in Israel’s massacre with new connections of resistance and solidarity.

He stated that preparations are underway for a second voyage.

March Through Downtown and Protests at the Embassies

After the rally, participants began marching around 5:10 p.m., proceeding from Bosingak to Songhyeon Square, the Government Complex, the U.S. Embassy, and the Israeli Embassy.

The marchers filled the city center with chants of “Stop the massacre!”, “Long live Palestinian liberation!”, and “Down with imperialism!

In front of the U.S. Embassy, a brief protest denounced Washington as a “partner in genocide.”

Then, in front of the Israeli Embassy, a performance-style “resistance show” unfolded: participants lay on the ground as if dead—symbolizing slain Palestinians—then rose to continue their protest.

The Roar of Solidarity Becomes Internationalism

The marchers returned to Bosingak for a closing rally, which featured a video message from Palestinian refugee Saleh al-Rantisi and a rousing performance by the Korean percussion troupe Jangpung.

The square resounded with chants, drums, and song, as participants pledged solidarity under the refrain “A ceasefire is not the end—liberation is the goal.”

This nationwide action went beyond commemoration, demonstrating the real, practical potential for internationalist struggle against imperialism and Zionism in South Korea.

The cry for Palestine’s liberation clearly resonated with the broader aspirations of Korean workers and ordinary people for their own emancipation.

After the performance, the marchers returned to Bosingak once more for a final assembly featuring the reading of “Our Pledge.” Waving Palestinian flags and chanting “Solidarity continues,” they concluded the day’s action.

Members of our Workers’ Revolutionary Party (Preparation Group) – the South Korean section of the RCIT – took part in the march with their flags and distributed leaflets (see below).

Down with U.S. Imperialism’s Scheme to Colonize Gaza! Oppose the Disarmament of Palestinian Resistance Forces!

Advance the Arab Revolution! Strengthen the Boycott of Israel!

Leaflet of Workers’ Revolutionary Party (Preparation Group), RCIT Section in South Korea, 18 October 2025, https://blog.wrpkorea.org

The international movement in solidarity with Palestine faced the 9 October “Gaza Agreement” without having fully exposed or condemned Trump’s so-called “Peace Plan.”

How Should We Assess the Gaza Agreement?

Even from what has been revealed so far, it is clear that this agreement reflects the extremely unequal balance of forces between the Israeli army and the Palestinian resistance.

The end of the genocidal war of endless bombardment and slaughter is certainly welcome news for the Palestinian people. However, Trump’s next step is to turn Gaza into an American-Zionist protectorate - plotting the disarmament of the Palestinian resistance and the deployment of foreign troops. The aim of Trump’s “peace plan” is to uproot the forces of resistance against the Zionist occupation and to impose the chains of subjugation on the Palestinian people. It means that the future of Palestine is to be decided not by Palestinians themselves but by a handful of Western and Zionist powers.

We do not criticize Hamas for accepting an agreement that includes unfavourable conditions (such as the ratio of prisoner exchanges). Over the past two years, the courage of the Palestinian resistance has written a heroic epic that has inspired generations and will continue to do so. It will be remembered as one of the greatest struggles in history—a “David versus Goliath” battle!

It is true that both the resistance organizations and the Palestinian people need a period of respite to rebuild their military strength. However, to accept disarmament and to serve as collaborators or enforcers of an American-Zionist protectorate would be utterly unjustifiable and a blatant betrayal. If Hamas were to take such a path, it would mean following the same disastrous road the PLO took after the Oslo Accords of the early 1990s.

The Broader Situation Facing the Palestinian Liberation Struggle

Any assessment of the current situation must take into account not only Gaza but the entire Middle Eastern and international context.

First, the situation remains fluid and volatile; Netanyahu may very well tear up the agreement and resume the war, as he did in March.

Second, Israel continues its drive for regional hegemony and could launch another war against Iran at any time.

Third, the popular uprising that began in Morocco could spread to other Arab countries, shaking the cowardly pro-Zionist regimes.

Fourth, if the global Palestine solidarity movement maintains its momentum and mobilization, it can impose tremendous pressure on Western governments and create serious obstacles to Trump’s colonial project.

The 7 October 2023 uprising triggered the largest anti-imperialist movement since the Vietnam War. Today, millions are marching on every continent. Dockworkers in several countries have refused to load Israeli cargo. In Italy, militant unions have organized three nationwide strikes in solidarity with Palestine. The brave activists of the Global Sumud Fleet, who sought to break Israel’s starvation blockade, have inspired millions worldwide. Western governments now face growing public pressure to officially recognize the State of Palestine.

The Zionist monster has destroyed Gaza, killed or maimed more than one-tenth of its inhabitants, and militarily weakened Hamas, yet it has suffered a devastating political defeat on the world stage. For every Palestinian killed, hundreds and thousands of people around the globe have become politically awakened and mobilized in solidarity with the cause of liberation.

Today’s world situation is fundamentally different from that of the 1990s, when global capitalism and U.S. imperialism still held a strong position. The world economy is now in deep crisis. Inter-imperialist rivalry between the Western bloc and China-Russia is accelerating, while waves of popular uprisings are surging around the globe. In such conditions, lasting stability in Palestine and the Middle East is impossible. Even if Israel and its allies manage to impose another Oslo-type accord, another Intifada will likely sweep it away within a few years.

Lessons for Continuing and Deepening the Palestinian Liberation Struggle: Who Are the Real Friends?

It is crucial to draw the right lessons from the past two years. One of the most important ones is the distinction between true friends and false friends.

China and Russia – praised by some as “progressive alternatives” to Western imperialism—have both welcomed and publicly supported Trump’s colonial plan. They, too, are reactionary imperialist powers and enemies of the oppressed. The Arab regimes that pretend to support the Palestinians are nothing but puppets of the imperialist powers, too cowardly to confront Israel. When the Palestinian people needed help, these regimes refused to join the boycott of Israel, refused to break the blockade of Gaza, and refused to wage war against the Zionist monster. Yet they are ready to send troops to “monitor” the Palestinians or “protect” Israel from Palestinian resistance. Let it be clear: foreign troops in Gaza would be welcomed only under one condition – if they fight under Palestinian command against the Zionist occupation.

The betrayal of the Palestinian people by the reformist leadership of the international labour movement must also be mentioned. Many trade-union bureaucrats have refused to oppose the Zionist state. Even those who condemned the genocide largely avoided organizing real strikes or boycott actions. Only after two years of genocidal slaughter, under mounting pressure from the rank and file, did some leaderships reluctantly call limited strikes in recent weeks.

The limits of narrow nationalism and one-country perspectives have also become evident. Resistance organizations such as Hamas and Islamic Jihad have focused on building alliances with bourgeois Arab regimes (Turkey, Qatar, Iran) instead of creating a truly international front of the oppressed masses. While people in the streets shout “Let’s go to Palestine to fight the Zionists!”, Arab and Muslim regimes continue to shield Israel – and now they even pressure Hamas to accept Trump’s colonial plan. Only when the Arab masses overthrow these tyrants and open the road to Jerusalem will they truly be able to aid Palestine!

The Need for a New Revolutionary, Anti-Imperialist, and Internationalist Leadership

The urgent task now is to build a new leadership for the coming struggles – one that is revolutionary, anti-imperialist, and internationalist. Such a leadership must dedicate itself to destroying the Zionist terrorist state and replacing it with a Free and Red Palestine from the river to the sea.

It must support the workers’ and youth uprising in Morocco, fight to overthrow the reactionary pro-Zionist monarchies, and revive the Arab Revolution. It must aim for workers’ and peasants’ governments that expropriate the billionaires and foreign monopolies and drive out Zionist and imperialist military bases from the Middle East.

It must organize real boycott and strike campaigns targeting all Zionist companies and institutions, and fight for their expulsion.

To all comrades who share this revolutionary, internationalist, and anti-imperialist orientation, we propose the following immediate slogans:

* Complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza!

* “All for all!” – Exchange all Palestinian prisoners and detainees for all Israeli captives!

* No disarmament of Palestinian resistance!

* No U.S.-Zionist protectorate! Let the Palestinian people decide their own government!

* Continue and expand the global boycott of Israel!

* Revive the Arab Revolution!

Key Obstacles to Overcome for the Advancement of the Palestine Solidarity Movement

Illusions in the United Nations

One widespread illusion is that the UN could stop Israel’s “forever wars.” In reality, the UN is an assembly of bourgeois governments dominated by five imperialist powers with veto rights – including the U.S., Israel’s long-time ally. Even when the UN passes resolutions condemning Israel, it has no power to enforce them against the will of these powers. The great powers only implement resolutions when they serve their interests against semi-colonial countries of the Global South—as seen in the 2006 Security Council sanctions on Iran’s nuclear program. (Israel, with 90–200 nuclear warheads, has never faced sanctions.)

The “Two-State Solution”

Since Arafat’s PLO capitulated, almost every bourgeois government – from the Middle East to the West – has supported the so-called “two-state solution,” i.e., an independent Palestinian state alongside Israel. But even if it were realized (which Zionist Israel rejects), such a “Palestinian state” would be nothing more than a colonial Bantustan, like in apartheid South Africa – poor, devastated, and economically dependent on Israel, politically and militarily subordinate to Zionist goodwill. In short, the two-state solution is a useless illusion and a dangerous trap. The only real solution is to destroy the Zionist terrorist state and build a single Free and Red Palestine from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, as part of a Socialist Federation of the Middle East.

Illusions in Liberal and Reformist Forces

Another false belief is that “progressive” forces are allies of the Palestinian struggle. Look at what the “liberal” Biden administration, the Starmer Labour government, and the German SPD have done over the past two years! Are the more left-leaning figures like Sanders, Ocasio-Cortez, or Zohran Mamdani or the left factions of Labour, Die Linke, and Spain’s Sumar and Podemos true allies of the Palestinians? In reality, they remain tied to pro-Israel imperialist parties – the U.S. Democrats and Europe’s ruling coalitions. Even the French “France Insoumise” (LFI) of Mélenchon, the most radical among these reformist forces, remains bound by its misled “popular front” alliance with the pro-Zionist Socialist and Green parties. Objectively, such forces act as transmission belts linking the Palestine solidarity movement to imperialist, pro-Zionist parties. To truly support the Palestinian people, one must break all ties with pro-imperialist and pro-Zionist parties and governments.

Pacifism

Many groups protesting Israel’s genocidal massacres mistakenly oppose armed struggle, rejecting it as a legitimate and necessary form of resistance. As a result, they refuse to side militarily with Hamas, the Houthis, or Iran against the Zionist aggressor. This pacifism is both shameful and dangerous. The history of liberation struggles shows that the oppressed cannot defeat their oppressors without answering violence with revolutionary violence. Those who oppose the oppressed using force objectively serve the oppressor. At the same time, socialist opponents of pacifism take the military side of those fighting Zionism and imperialism – but give no political support to their petty-bourgeois leaderships.

Illusions in the “Axis of Resistance”

Many supporters of the Palestinian struggle hope that Iran’s Shia-led “Axis of Resistance” will serve as an effective counterweight to Israeli aggression. But in truth, Iran’s capitalist theocracy prioritizes self-preservation. Likewise, Hezbollah and the Iran-aligned forces in Iraq are deeply entangled in domestic power-sharing intrigues. As a result, when Hamas and Hezbollah came under attack, Iran did not join the fight. When Israel and the U.S. attacked Iran in June 2025, the so-called “Axis of Resistance” did nothing. Moreover, Iran and Hezbollah’s unwavering support for Assad’s mass-murdering dictatorship against the Syrian people will forever remain the mark of Cain upon them. It was a historic crime that irreversibly isolated them from the overwhelming Sunni majority of the Muslim world.

노동자혁명당(), 2025 10 18 , https://blog.wrpkorea.org

* 팔레스타인 저항군 무장해제 반대!

* 미국-시온주의 보호령 반대! 팔레스타인인이 자신의 정부를 결정한다!

* 이스라엘 보이콧 운동을 이어가자!

* 아랍 혁명을 부활시키자!

* * * *

London: Gigantic March in Solidarity with Gaza

By Laurence Humphries, RCIT Britain, 11th October 2025

About half a million people demonstrated in London to show their support for the people in Gaza – the biggest pro-Palestine march in Britain since 7th October 2023. The demonstration, which started at Victoria Embankment, was organised by the Palestinian Solidarity Campaign, Friends of Al Asqa and the Stop the War Coalition.

It was impressive to see such a huge mobilisation irrespective of the previous announcement of the ceasefire agreement. A popular chant was to bring those responsible for war crimes to justice. People held placards with slogans like “One Free Palestine from the River to the Sea”, “End Israeli state terror”, “End the Genocide” “Hands off Gaza”, “Victory to the Intifada”, etc. Comrades of the RCIT participated in the demonstration, distributed leaflets and sold our journals.

France: Another Day of Action against Marcon’s Austerity Policy

Report (with pictures) by the RCIT France, 3 October 2025, www.thecommunists.net

On the 2nd of October, the movement initiated on the 10th of September continued and gathered between 195,000 and 600,000 demonstrators respectively (according to the interior ministry and the unions). This is, as noted by most of the protestors, way less than during the last mobilisation on the 18th of September which flooded the streets with some 500 000 to one million of them.

The downward trend is not only visible in the demonstration but also in the strikes. Indeed, even if the movement is still continuing, only 4% of the public sector was declared in strike, with peaks in education with almost 7% teachers strike. Contrary to the last two days of mobilisation, very few blockages were recorded.

Nonetheless, and even though this information has not been massively shared by the press, the unions or the parties, one of those blockages is particularly interesting to focus on. Indeed, outside the demonstration in Marseille, a group of protesters, probably two or three hundred strong, tried to block the buildings of Eurolink, an armament firm supplying the Israeli apartheid state in its genocidal war.

Their goals were obvious as they raised the Palestinian flag high in the streets, hiding their faces behind keffiyeh. The demonstrations of this day saw indeed an impressive comeback of the Palestinian cause in the streets of France. While much of those claims were focused on the freedom flotilla or the end of the war, some amongst the demonstrators said that the recognition of the Palestinian state was not enough and that such a state, to truly exist, would need international support in order to develop. Even if such positions are not yet well developed and do not apprehend the limits and illusions of the two-state solution, they show that a true feeling of solidarity with the Palestinian people has infused the masses. Later that evening, another demonstration took place at the call of the CGT union and LFI party, for the freedom flotilla, gathering around 1,000 demonstrators.

Nonetheless and even if the Palestinian cause took a certain place in the day of action, it was not the main goal of the mobilisation called out by the inter-union (CFDT, CGT, FO, CGE-CGC, CFTC, Unsa, FSU, and Solidaires). Indeed, the demonstration aimed in particular at the draft of the budget plan for 2026 that should be announced on Tuesday the 7th October by Prime Minister Lecornu. This was, according to the direction of the unions, a last chance to press the government that has already withdrawn some of the proposals of their budget (in particular the abolition of two public holidays). For the participants, the demonstration was more generally a protest against the government and the Macron régime, seeing him as responsible for the current social attacks.

The response of the government has been slightly less massive than during the two last days of mobilisation. According to the ministry of interior, 76,000 policemen and gendarmes were mobilised that day but only a few drone surveillance has been declared at the initiative of departmental jurisdictions. This nonetheless massive deployment has led to some arrests, most of them directed at pro-Palestinian demonstrators. Indeed, around one hundred of the demonstrators blocking Eurolink were arrested, representing the huge majority of this day’s arrests.

Combative slogans were much more present than during the 18th of September. A lot of them aimed at more efficient actions such as strike and blockage “ Grève blocage Macron dégage “ (“ strike, blockade, Marcon out “) or a general strike “ Nous ce qu’on veut c’est la grève générale “ (“ what we want is a general strike “ sang to the melody of Katyusha), reflecting the disappointment about how the union leaderships act in the current situation.

Interestingly enough, the union tried in the most festive way to sing slogans about their own work, in a context where the inter-union is threatened again by inner divisions and where a significant part of the activists has doubts about the purpose of the struggle. Of course, slogans like “ siamo tutti antifascisti “ or “ à bas l’Etat les flics et les fachos “ (“ down with the State, the cops and the fascists “) were sung when the police was nearby, but it is more the resilient slogans about Gaza that marked the front and vanguard part of the procession such as “ nous sommes tous des enfants de Gaza “ (“ we all are children of Gaza “) or “ Israel assassin, Macron complice “ (Israel murderer, Macron accomplice “).

The comrades of the RCIT took part in the Parisian demonstration from Place d’Italie to Place Vauban. There, they sold the journal, talked with participants and made some contacts among it. Our comrade Paul has also been briefly interviewed by the journal Le Nouvel Obs to which he presents the perspectives of the RCIT about the situation in France and Gaza.

Vienna: Solidarity with the Gaza Sumud Flotilla!

Report (with pictures and videos) from a rally in Vienna on 2nd October 2025, Austrian section of the RCIT, www.thecommunists.net

All over the world, mass protests are taking place against the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Sumud flotilla and the kidnapping of hundreds of its activists. Last night, thousands demonstrated on the streets of Vienna. Furthermore, a group of activists organized a protest camp in the centre of Vienna, close to the seat of the government.

Michael Pröbsting, International Secretary of the RCIT, gave a speech at the protest camp. He protested against the Israeli attack on the Gaza Sumud flotilla and praised the global wave of solidarity. Thousands of people spontaneously marched on the streets in cities all over the world. The CGIL, largest trade union in Italy, announced a general strike for the 3rd October. The current events demonstrated once more that the people take the side of Palestine while the ruling elite supports the Zionist state – openly or disguised.

Michael also denounced the reactionary Trump plan for Gaza. This plan is not a road to peace but rather aim at the foreign occupation of Palestine and the disarmament of its resistance. We will continue our support with the Palestinian people and their heroic resistance until all of Palestine is free - from the River to the Sea!
