South Korea: Ulsan 51st Emergency Action for Peace in Palestine

The Ulsan 51st Emergency Action for Peace in Palestine joined and participated in the 118th Anniversary March 8 International Women’s Day Ulsan Women’s Rally.

Today’s action was joined by comrades and activists from the Ulsan Regional Headquarters of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU), Ulsan Branch of the Metal Workers’ Union, Hyundai Glovis Ulsan Branch, comrades dismissed from Isu Company, the Progressive Party, the Workers’ Revolutionary Party (Preparatory Committee), March to Socialism, and other organizations and activists.

In particular, the Ulsan Regional Headquarters of the KCTU prepared a banner condemning the US and Israeli invasion of Iran, which gave even greater strength to today’s agitation. Voices opposing imperialist war and supporting the freedom and liberation of the Palestinian people rang out powerfully throughout the site of the Ulsan Women’s Rally.

During the rally, participants in the Ulsan Emergency Action for Peace in Palestine continued their campaign by holding banners and placards condemning Israel’s genocide in Gaza and opposing the war of aggression being carried out by the United States and Israel against Iran.

This campaign was not merely an act of protest, but also an agitation effort to highlight the necessity of international solidarity among workers and oppressed people against the imperialist wars and massacres taking place around the world.

Representing the Ulsan Emergency Action for Peace in Palestine, Kim Mi-ok, Chair of the Hyundai Glovis Ulsan Branch, delivered a speech. In her remarks, she strongly condemned the imperialist war being waged by the United States and Israel and pointed out the responsibility of South Korean big capital and the Lee Jae-myung government, which are directly and indirectly complicit in Israel’s genocide.

She also emphasized that the genocide taking place in Gaza and the military attacks against Iran are interconnected within a broader imperialist war system, and appealed for international solidarity and struggle by workers and oppressed people against these wars.

After the rally ended, participants joined the final march together, concluding the Ulsan 51st Emergency Action for Peace in Palestine.

Once again, we extend our deep appreciation and solidarity to all comrades who joined the struggle for the freedom and liberation of Palestine and against the imperialist war of aggression being waged by the war-monger Trump in the United States and the Zionist regime of Israel.

Solidarity actions for the liberation of Palestine will continue.

Below is the full speech delivered by Kim Mi-ok, Chair of the Hyundai Glovis Ulsan Branch.

Struggle!

Today, to all of you participating in the Ulsan Women’s Rally on the occasion of the 118th anniversary of International Women’s Day,

I am Kim Mi-ok, Chair of the Hyundai Glovis Ulsan Branch.

I believe I have come to stand before you today because I have consistently joined this agitation together with our union branch officers in the Ulsan Emergency Action for Peace in Palestine.

Comrades, have you ever heard of “Good Tree Elementary School”?

“Good Tree Elementary School.”

Just hearing this name brings to mind a warm and peaceful school.

However, I first learned of this name through the news of the US and Israeli invasion of Iran.

“Good Tree Elementary School” is a school located in the Minab region of Iran.

In that area, there is one elementary school for girls and one for boys, and “Good Tree Elementary School” is the school attended by girls.

But the Trump administration of the United States and the Netanyahu regime of Israel bombed this school twice in succession.

As a result, 168 children lost their lives.

Children under the age of twelve are no different from the children of Korea.

They too are precious treasures of humanity, children who should be laughing and playing with friends while dreaming of and building a more beautiful world and future.

Yet imperialist war ruthlessly tramples on the lives and futures of these children.

I strongly condemn the imperialist invasion and civilian massacres carried out by the United States and Israel, like beasts hungry for war and blood.

I also sincerely hope for the victory of the Iranian workers and masses resisting this war of aggression.

Do you agree?

The United States and Israel are also continuing genocide in Gaza, Palestine.

With military and political support from the United States, Israel has invaded Gaza and turned about 80 percent of the territory into ruins.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel and the United States have killed more than 80,000 people in Gaza and injured more than 200,000.

About 70 percent of the victims are children, women, and the elderly.

Even after the ceasefire in October 2025, Israel continued military attacks while occupying 60 percent of Gaza, killing more than 500 additional people.

Moreover, it has blocked even essential supplies for survival, including food and medicine, driving the people of Gaza into hunger, despair, and death.

This is not war.

This is clear genocide.

We strongly condemn Israel’s genocide, and the Israeli army must immediately withdraw from Gaza.

Do you agree?

However, this war is not only a problem of the Middle East.

South Korea, too, is deeply involved in this war and genocide in various ways.

South Korean big corporations are cooperating with Israel’s war and occupation policies through arms exports, energy development, and the export of construction equipment.

Hanwha Group’s arms exports,

Korea National Oil Corporation’s natural gas development off the coast of Gaza,

and Hyundai Construction Equipment’s excavator exports

all contribute directly or indirectly to Israel’s occupation and massacres.

In addition, the Lee Jae-myung government is considering participation in Trump’s so-called “Peace Committee.”

However, in that Peace Committee, even the word “Gaza” has already been removed.

This is not a peace plan.

It is nothing but a plan to place Gaza under permanent colonial rule.

Under these circumstances, can it really be justified for the South Korean government to claim that it supports Trump’s efforts for peace?

Yesterday, the KCTU clearly stated in its declaration that:

“The South Korean government must immediately halt all actions that tail the US hegemonic strategy and turn Korea into a launching base for war, and it must not cooperate with or assist the US war of aggression in any way.”

I fully agree with this position.

The wars unfolding around the world today are interconnected.

The war in Ukraine,

the genocide in Gaza, Palestine,

and now the war against Iran.

All of these wars are unfolding within the framework of imperialist rivalry.

Imperialist wars bring enormous profits to the capitalists, but to children, women, disabled people, and the elderly, they bring disaster, destruction, death, and despair.

On this 118th anniversary of International Women’s Day, what we must remember is absolutely clear.

Real peace can only be built through the international solidarity and struggle of workers and oppressed people to stop imperialist wars.

Now let us all raise our voices together!

Lee Jae-myung government, enact a comprehensive anti-discrimination law immediately!

Israel, withdraw from Gaza immediately!

The United States and Israel, stop the imperialist war of aggression immediately!

For clarification, this speech was delivered at a rally held in front of Lotte Department Store on March 7, in connection with International Women’s Day on March 8. Since there was only one speaker, a woman representative delivered these remarks as the joint representative speaker for the Ulsan Emergency Action for Peace in Palestine.

Kim Mi-ok, Chair of the Hyundai Glovis Ulsan Branch, is also an organizer of March to Socialism.

The position expressed by comrade Kim Mi-ok in her speech can generally be seen as aligned with the political position of March to Socialism. However, there are also points on which differences exist between their position and ours.

First, there is the issue of how to evaluate the US war of aggression against Iran.

Comrade Kim Mi-ok defines the US and Israeli invasion of Iran as an imperialist war and strongly condemns it. On this point, we also agree. However, there is a difference in how the character of the war is defined.

The position of March to Socialism tends to view the current war as having the character of a proxy war or inter-imperialist proxy confrontation. In other words, while the attack by the United States and Israel is clearly an imperialist aggression, they do not agree with characterizing it simply as a defensive war, since the Iranian regime itself does not represent the independent interests of the working masses.

Our position, however, is somewhat different.

We define the military attack by the United States and Israel as an imperialist war of aggression, and we view the war against such aggression as having the character of a defensive war. Therefore, we support the defensive war of countries and peoples resisting imperialist aggression, while at the same time maintaining the independent political position of the working masses.

Second, there are also differences regarding the evaluation of the Ukraine war.

The position of March to Socialism tends not to view the war simply through the framework of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, but rather as a proxy war arising from geopolitical rivalry between US-European imperialism and Russia. That is, they view this war too as a conflict unfolding among rival imperialist forces.

However, our position is somewhat different.

We define Russia’s military attack as a war of aggression against Ukraine, and we view Ukraine’s war in response as a defensive war. At the same time, we clearly criticize the fact that the United States and NATO are seeking to use this war for their own expansion of power.

Thus, both positions share the common point of opposing imperialist war. However, differences emerge on the question of how the character of the war should be defined.

March to Socialism has a strong tendency to view today’s wars through the framework of proxy wars between imperialist powers, and therefore it is cautious about defining a specific country’s war as a defensive war.

Our position, on the other hand, is that where imperialist aggression exists, the struggle against it must be defined as a defensive war. At the same time, we do not politically support any ruling class or regime. Rather, we support the struggle against imperialist aggression while emphasizing the independent position and struggle of the working masses.

Ultimately, these differences arise from differences in strategic and theoretical analysis of war.

Nevertheless, both positions can be said to share a common goal in that they oppose imperialist war and emphasize solidarity among the workers and oppressed peoples of the world.

팔레스타인 평화를 위한 울산 51차 긴급행동

팔레스타인 평화를 위한 울산 51차 긴급행동은 118주년 3.8 세계여성의날 울산여성대회에 참가해 함께했습니다.

오늘 행동에는 민주노총 울산지역본부, 금속노조 울산지부, 현대글로비스 울산지회, 이수기업 해고자 동지들, 진보당, 노동자혁명당(준), 사회주의를향한전진 등 여러 단체와 활동가 동지들이 함께했습니다.

특히 민주노총 울산지역본부에서 미국과 이스라엘의 이란 침공을 규탄하는 현수막을 준비해 주셔서 오늘 선전전이 더욱 힘을 얻었습니다. 제국주의 전쟁에 반대하고 팔레스타인 인민의 자유와 해방을 지지하는 목소리는 울산여성대회 현장 곳곳에서 힘차게 울려 퍼졌습니다.

울산여성대회가 진행되는 동안 팔레스타인 평화를 위한 울산 긴급행동 참가자들은 현수막과 피켓을 들고 이스라엘의 가자지구 집단학살을 규탄하고, 미국과 이스라엘이 벌이고 있는 이란 침략 전쟁을 반대하는 캠페인을 지속적으로 진행했습니다.

이 캠페인은 단순한 항의 행동이 아니라, 전 세계 곳곳에서 벌어지고 있는 제국주의 전쟁과 학살에 맞서 노동자 민중의 국제적 연대가 필요하다는 점을 알리는 선전전이기도 했습니다.

또한 팔레스타인 평화를 위한 울산 긴급행동을 대표하여 현대글로비스 울산지회 김미옥 지회장이 발언에 나섰습니다. 김미옥 지회장은 연설에서 미국과 이스라엘이 벌이고 있는 제국주의 전쟁을 강력히 규탄하고, 이스라엘의 집단학살에 직간접적으로 공모하고 있는 한국 대자본과 이재명 정부의 책임을 지적했습니다.

또한 팔레스타인 가자지구에서 벌어지고 있는 집단학살과 이란에 대한 군사적 공격이 서로 연결된 하나의 제국주의 전쟁 체제 속에서 벌어지고 있다는 점을 강조하며, 이러한 전쟁에 맞서 노동자 민중의 국제연대 투쟁이 필요하다는 점을 호소했습니다.

참가자들은 집회가 끝난 뒤 마지막 행진까지 함께하며 팔레스타인 평화를 위한 울산 51차 긴급행동을 마무리했습니다.

오늘도 팔레스타인의 자유와 해방을 위해, 그리고 전쟁광 미국 트럼프와 이스라엘 시온주의 정권이 벌이고 있는 제국주의 침략 전쟁에 반대하는 투쟁에 함께해 주신 모든 동지들께 깊은 감사와 연대의 인사를 전합니다.

팔레스타인 해방을 위한 연대 행동은 앞으로도 계속될 것입니다.

오늘 118주년 세계여성의날을 맞아 울산여성대회에 참가하신 여러분!

현대글로비스 울산지회 지회장 김미옥입니다.

제가 지회 간부들과 함께 팔레스타인 평화를 위한 울산 긴급행동 선전전에 꾸준히 함께해 왔기에, 오늘 이 자리에서 여러분 앞에 서게 된 것 같습니다.

여러분, **“좋은 나무 초등학교”**를 들어보셨습니까?

“좋은 나무 초등학교”.

이 이름만 들으면 따뜻하고 평화로운 학교를 떠올리게 됩니다.

그러나 저는 이 이름을 미국과 이스라엘의 이란 침공 소식 속에서 처음 알게 되었습니다.

“좋은 나무 초등학교”는 이란 미나브 지역에 있는 학교입니다.

그 지역에는 여자 어린이와 남자 어린이가 다니는 초등학교가 각각 하나씩 있는데, 그중 “좋은 나무 초등학교”는 여자 어린이들이 다니는 학교라고 합니다.

그러나 미국의 트럼프 정권과 이스라엘 네타냐후 정권은

이 학교를 두 차례 연속 폭격했습니다.

그 결과 168명의 어린이가 목숨을 잃었습니다.

12세 이하의 어린이들은

한국의 어린이들과 다르지 않습니다.

이 아이들도 친구들과 함께 웃고 놀며,

더 아름다운 세상과 미래를 꿈꾸며 살아갈

인류의 소중한 보물입니다.

그러나 제국주의 전쟁은

이러한 어린이들의 삶과 미래를 무참히 짓밟고 있습니다.

저는 전쟁과 피에 굶주린 야수와 같은

미국과 이스라엘의 제국주의 침공과 민간인 학살을 강력히 규탄합니다.

또한 이러한 침략 전쟁에 맞서 싸우는

이란 노동자와 민중의 저항이 승리하기를 간절히 바랍니다.

여러분들도 동의하십니까?

미국과 이스라엘은 팔레스타인 가자지구에서도 집단학살을 계속하고 있습니다.

이스라엘은 미국의 군사적·정치적 지원 아래

가자지구를 침공하여 약 80% 지역을 폐허로 만들었습니다.

2023년 10월 7일 이후

이스라엘과 미국은 가자지구에서 8만 명이 넘는 사람들을 학살했고, 20만 명 이상을 부상자로 만들었습니다.

희생자의 약 70%는 어린이와 여성, 노인입니다.

또한 이스라엘은 2025년 10월 휴전 이후에도

가자지구 60% 지역을 점령한 채 군사 공격을 계속하며 500명 이상을 추가로 학살했습니다.

뿐만 아니라

식료품과 의료품 같은 생존에 필수적인 물자까지 봉쇄하며

가자지구 주민들을 굶주림과 절망 속으로 몰아넣고 있습니다.

이것은 전쟁이 아니라

명백한 집단학살입니다.

우리는 이스라엘의 집단학살을 강력히 규탄하며

이스라엘 군대는 가자지구에서 즉각 철수해야 합니다.

여러분들도 동의하십니까?

그러나 이 전쟁은 중동 지역만의 문제가 아닙니다.

한국 역시 다양한 방식으로

이 전쟁과 집단학살에 깊숙이 연루되어 있습니다.

한국의 대기업들은

무기 수출, 에너지 개발, 건설 장비 수출 등을 통해

이스라엘의 전쟁과 점령 정책에 협력하고 있습니다.

한화그룹의 무기 수출,

한국석유공사의 가자지구 해역 천연가스 개발,

현대건설기계의 굴착기 수출 등은

모두 이스라엘의 점령과 학살에 직간접적으로 기여하고 있습니다.

또한 이재명 정부는

트럼프가 추진하는 이른바 “평화위원회” 참여를 검토하고 있습니다.

그러나 그 평화위원회에서

이미 “가자”라는 이름조차 삭제되었습니다.

이것은 평화 계획이 아니라

가자지구를 영구적으로 식민 통치하려는 계획일 뿐입니다.

이러한 상황에서

한국 정부가 트럼프의 평화 노력을 지지한다고 말하는 것이

과연 정당한 일입니까?

민주노총은 어제 성명에서

“한국 정부는 미국의 패권 전략에 부화뇌동하며 한국을 전쟁의 발진기지로 내어주는 모든 행위를 즉각 중단해야 한다”는 점을 분명히 밝혔습니다.

저 역시 이 입장에 동의합니다.

지금 세계 곳곳에서 벌어지고 있는 전쟁들은

서로 연결되어 있습니다.

우크라이나 전쟁,

팔레스타인 가자지구 집단학살,

그리고 이란 전쟁까지.

이 모든 전쟁은

제국주의 경쟁 속에서 벌어지고 있습니다.

제국주의 전쟁은

자본가들에게는 막대한 이윤을 가져다주지만

어린이, 여성, 장애인, 노인에게는

죽음과 파괴, 그리고 절망을 가져오는 재앙입니다.

오늘 118주년 세계여성의날을 맞아

우리가 기억해야 할 것은 분명합니다.

진정한 평화는

제국주의 전쟁을 멈추기 위한

노동자 민중의 국제연대 투쟁 속에서만 만들어질 수 있습니다.

이제 우리 모두 함께 외쳐봅시다!

이재명 정부는 포괄적 차별금지법을 즉각 제정하라!

이스라엘은 가자지구에서 지금 당장 철수하라!

글해석 이발언은 3월 8일 여성의 날에 맞춰서 3월 7일에 롯데백화점 앞에서 대회가 있었습니다. 그래서 발언은 한사람밖에 없어서 여성대표로 팔레스타인 평화를 위한 공동대표 발언을 한분만 해서 이런 발언을 하였습니다.

현대글로비스 울산지회 김미옥 지회장은 동시에 사회주의를 향한 전진의 회원이기도 합니다.

김미옥 동지가 발언에서 제기한 입장은 전반적으로 사회주의를 향한 전진의 정치적 입장과 같은 방향에 있다고 볼 수 있습니다. 다만 그 내용에는 우리와의 입장 차이가 존재하는 부분도 있습니다.

첫째로, 미국의 이란 침략 전쟁에 대한 평가 문제입니다.

김미옥 동지는 미국과 이스라엘의 이란 침공을 제국주의 전쟁으로 규정하고 강력히 규탄하고 있습니다. 이러한 점은 우리 역시 동의하는 부분입니다. 그러나 전쟁의 성격을 규정하는 방식에서는 차이가 존재합니다.

사회주의를 향한 전진의 입장에서는 현재 벌어지고 있는 전쟁을 제국주의 세력 간의 대리전 또는 대리전쟁(대제전)의 성격으로 보는 경향이 있습니다. 즉, 미국과 이스라엘의 공격은 분명 제국주의적 침략이지만, 동시에 이란 정권 역시 독립적인 노동자 민중의 이해를 대변하는 세력이 아니라는 점에서, 이를 단순한 방어전쟁으로 규정하는 것에는 동의하지 않는 입장입니다.

반면 우리의 입장은 다소 차이가 있습니다. 우리는 미국과 이스라엘의 군사적 공격을 제국주의 침략 전쟁으로 규정하며, 이러한 침략에 맞서는 전쟁의 성격을 방어전쟁으로 봅니다. 따라서 우리는 제국주의 침략에 맞서는 나라와 민중의 방어전쟁을 지지하며, 동시에 노동자 민중의 독립적인 정치적 입장을 유지해야 한다고 봅니다.

둘째로, 우크라이나 전쟁에 대한 평가 문제에서도 차이가 존재합니다.

사회주의를 향한 전진의 입장에서는 러시아의 우크라이나 침공이라는 단순한 틀로 보기보다는, 이 전쟁을 미국·유럽 제국주의와 러시아 사이의 지정학적 경쟁이 낳은 대리전 성격의 전쟁으로 해석하는 경향이 있습니다. 즉, 이 전쟁 역시 서로 다른 제국주의 세력 간의 충돌 속에서 벌어지고 있는 전쟁으로 보는 것입니다.

그러나 우리의 입장은 이와 조금 다릅니다. 우리는 러시아의 군사적 공격을 우크라이나에 대한 침략 전쟁으로 규정하며, 그에 맞서는 우크라이나의 전쟁을 방어전쟁으로 봅니다. 물론 동시에 미국과 NATO가 이 전쟁을 이용해 자신들의 세력 확장을 추구하고 있다는 점 역시 분명히 비판합니다.

이처럼 두 입장은 모두 제국주의 전쟁에 반대한다는 공통점을 가지고 있지만, 전쟁의 성격을 어떻게 규정할 것인가라는 문제에서는 차이가 나타납니다.

사회주의를 향한 전진은 오늘날의 여러 전쟁을 제국주의 세력 간의 대리전이라는 틀로 보는 경향이 강하며, 따라서 특정 국가의 전쟁을 방어전쟁으로 규정하는 것에는 신중한 태도를 보입니다.

반면 우리의 입장은 제국주의 침략이 존재할 경우, 그것에 맞서는 전쟁은 방어전쟁으로 규정해야 한다는 입장입니다. 동시에 우리는 어떤 국가의 지배계급이나 정권을 정치적으로 지지하는 것이 아니라, 제국주의 침략에 맞서는 투쟁을 지지하면서 노동자 민중의 독립적인 입장과 투쟁을 강조합니다.

결국 이러한 차이는 전쟁에 대한 전략적·이론적 분석의 차이에서 비롯된 것입니다. 그러나 두 입장 모두 제국주의 전쟁에 반대하고 세계 노동자 민중의 연대를 강조한다는 점에서는 공통된 목표를 가지고 있다고 볼 수 있습니다.

Sri Lanka: Successful Meeting on International Women’s Day

The Revolutionary Workers Front, the sympathising section of the RCIT in Sri Lanka, held a successful meeting on International Women’s Day in Galle, a city on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka. Comrades came together to celebrate this important day in a revolutionary spirit. They discussed about the crucial role of women in the struggle for socialism and the strategy for women’s liberation.

The meeting was led by comrade Thushari Dhammika and chaired by comrade Manel Chandra. Among the speakers were the comrades Sanjeewa Padmasiri, Rasika Sandamali, Samarapala, Roopa Singha, Manel Chandra and Bandula Galagedara. Michael Pröbsting from the RCIT’s International Bureau addressed the meeting virtually.

Las compañeras se reunieron para celebrar este importante día con espíritu revolucionario. Debatieron sobre el papel crucial de las mujeres en la lucha por el socialismo y la estrategia para la liberación femenina. Sri Lanka : Réunion fructueuse à l'occasion de la Journée internationale des femmes

Le Front Révolutionnaire des Travailleurs (RWF), section sympathisante du RCIT au Sri Lanka, a tenu une réunion fructueuse à l'occasion de la Journée internationale des femmes à Galle, ville située sur la côte sud-ouest du Sri Lanka. Les camarades se sont réunis pour célébrer cette journée primordiale dans un esprit révolutionnaire. Ils ont discuté du rôle crucial des femmes dans la lutte pour le socialisme et de la stratégie pour leur émancipation.

La réunion était dirigée par le camarade Thushari Dhammika et présidée par le camarade Manel Chandra. Czechia: Rally against US-Israeli Aggression on Iran

On Monday, 2^nd March several dozen activists gathered in front of the US embassy in Prague to show their protest against the imperialist aggression of US and Israel against Iran. The rally was organized by the Initiative Against the War. Participants held posters with slogans: ”Stop Trump’s war campaign! War is not freedom!”, ”Freedom to Iranian people! No to oppression! No to war! No to Trump!”, ”No to attack on Iran! Down with Trump!”, ”Donald Trump = the best Putin’s student!”, ”No blood for oil!”.

Several speakers addressed the rally, including Radek Novak, sympathizer of the Revolutionary Communist International Tendency. In his speech, he characterized the war as a just war of defense of Iran against imperialist subjugation. He demonstrated the falsity of the US-Israeli arguments intended to justify the war and reminded that the Israeli regime, which is committing genocide in Gaza, cannot bring freedom to the Iranian people. Radek also pointed out that the American goal is to change the regime and establish the rule of Reza Pahlavi, who has no legitimacy and will be only a puppet in the hands of the imperialists.

W poniedziałek 2 marca, kilkadziesiąt aktywistów zebrało się naprzeciwko amerykańskiej, aby wyrazić swój sprzeciw wobec amerykańskiej i izraelskiej agresji przeciwko Iranowi. Pikieta została zorganizowana przez Inicjatywę Przeciwko Wojnie. Uczestnicy trzymali plakaty z hasłami: „Powstrzymać kampanię wojenną Trumpa! Wojna to nie wolność!”, „Wolność dla narodu irańskiego! Nie dla ucisku! Nie dla wojny! Nie dla Trumpa!”, „Nie dla ataku na Iran! Precz z Trumpem!”, „Donald Trump = najlepszy uczeń Putina!”, „Żadnej krwi za ropę!”.

Na pikiecie przemawiało kilka osób, w tym Radek Novak, sympatyk Rewolucyjnej Komunistycznej Tendencji Międzynarodowej. W swoim przemówieniu scharakteryzował on tę wojnę jako sprawiedliwą wojnę obronną Iranu przeciwko imperialistycznemu podporządkowaniu. Przedstawił kłamliwość argumentów USA i Izraela mających usprawiedliwić tę wojnę i przypomniał, że izraelski reżim, który dokonuje ludobójstwa w Gazie, nie może przynieść wyzwolenia Irańczykom. Austria: Rally for the Release of Mustafa Ayyash

Several dozen activists gathered in front of the Ministry of the Interior in Vienna's city center, demanding the immediate release of Palestinian journalist Mustafa Ayyash. Ayyash has been imprisoned for three months after he was extradited from the Netherlands to Austria at Israel's request – based on trumped-up charges. He could now be extradited to the Zionist terrorist state, where he faces torture and murder.

The rally was organized by the Arab Palestine Club and led by Comrade Mohammed.

Several speakers addressed the rally, including Michael Pröbsting, International Secretary of the RCIT. In his speech, he expressed our solidarity with Mustafa Ayyash. He emphasized that Austria's cooperation with Israel in the Ayyash case once again demonstrates the political support of the Austrian state for the Zionist genocide against the Palestinians. Michael also warned of an imminent American-Zionist attack on Iran. In such a conflict, we stand with Iran and for the defeat of US imperialism and Israel.

Decenas de activistas se congregaron frente al Ministerio del Interior, en el centro de Viena, para exigir la liberación inmediata del periodista palestino Mustafa Ayyash. Ayyash lleva tres meses encarcelado tras ser extraditado de los Países Bajos a Austria a petición de Israel, basándose en cargos falsos. Ahora podría ser extraditado al estado terrorista sionista, donde se enfrenta a tortura y asesinato.

La manifestación fue organizada por el Club Árabe Palestino y dirigida por el camarada Mohammed.

Mehrere dutzend Aktivistinnen und Aktivisten versammelten sich vor dem Innenministerium in der Wiener Innenstadt, wo sie die sofortige Freilassung des palästinensischen Journalisten Mustafa Ayyash. Ayyash befindet sich im Gefängnis, seit er vor drei Monaten auf Verlangen Israels – aufgrund fadenscheiniger Vorwürfe – von den Niederlanden an Österreich überstellt wurde. Nun könnte er an die zionistischen Terrorstaat ausgeliefert werden, wo ihm Folter und Ermordung drohen.

Die Kundgebung wurde vom Arabischen Palästina Club organisiert und von Genossen Mohammed geleitet.

Mehrere Redner sprachen auf der Kundgebung, darunter Michael Pröbsting, Internationaler Sekretär des RCIT. In seiner Rede drückte er unsere Solidarität mit Mustafa Ayyash aus. Er betonte, dass die Zusammenarbeit von Österreich mit Israel im Falle Ayyash einmal mehr die politische Unterstützung des österreichischen Staates mit dem zionistischen Völkermord an den PalästinenserInnen aufzeigt. Austria: Rally at the 82nd Anniversary of the Deportation of the Chechen and Ingush People

Several dozen Chechen and Ukrainian activists assembled in the centre of Vienna to commemorate the 82^nd anniversary of the deportation of the Chechen and Ingush people. On 23^rd February 1944, the Stalinist regime had initiated these two Caucasian peoples under the wrong pretext that they would have collaborated with the Nazi occupation. Nearly the whole population was deported to Central Asia, about 1/3 of them died during this horrific crime – one of the worst genocides of the 20^th century! (1)

The rally was organized by the Multiculture Democracy Initiative and led by Dunajeva Roza - the representative of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria (exile) in Austria. Several Chechen and Ukrainian speakers addressed the rally, as well as Michael Pröbsting, the International Secretary of the RCIT.

In his speech Michael denounced the genocide against the Chechen and Ingush peoples by the Stalinist regime. He pointed out that this crime was a continuation of the brutal oppression of the Caucasian peoples by the Tsarist autocracy until 1917. After the collapse of Stalinism, the new Russian imperialist state continued this horrendous policy in two wars (1994-96 and 1999-2009) – first under Yeltsin and then under Putin. The RCIT supports the liberation struggle of the Chechen people for an independent republic Ichkeria and likewise we side with the just war of national defence of the Ukrainian people against Russian imperialism.

Varias decenas de activistas chechenos y ucranianos se congregaron en el centro de Viena para conmemorar el 82.º aniversario de la deportación de los pueblos checheno e ingusetio. El 23 de febrero de 1944, el régimen estalinista había iniciado la deportación de estos dos pueblos caucásicos bajo el pretexto erróneo de que habrían colaborado con la ocupación nazi. Casi toda la población fue deportada a Asia Central, y aproximadamente un tercio de ellos murió durante este horrible crimen, ¡uno de los peores genocidios del siglo XX [1].

Mehrere Dutzend tschetschenische und ukrainische AktivistInnen versammelten sich im Zentrum Wiens, um des 82. Jahrestages der Deportation der Tschetschenen und Inguschen zu gedenken. Am 23. Februar 1944 deportierte das stalinistische Regime diese beiden kaukasischen Völker unter dem falschen Vorwand der Kollaboration mit der nationalsozialistischen Besatzung. Nahezu die gesamte Bevölkerung wurde nach Zentralasien deportiert, etwa ein Drittel von ihnen starb bei diesem grausamen Verbrechen – einem der schlimmsten Völkermorde des 20. Jahrhunderts! (1)

Die Kundgebung wurde organisiert von der Multiculture Democracy Initiative und von Roza Dunajeva, der Vertreterin der Tschetschenischen Republik Ichkeria (im Exil) in Österreich, geleitet. Mehrere tschetschenische und ukrainische RednerInnen sowie Michael Pröbsting, der Internationale Sekretär der RCIT, sprachen auf der Kundgebung.

In seiner Rede verurteilte Michael den Völkermord an den Tschetschenen und Inguschen durch das stalinistische Regime. Er betonte, dass dieses Verbrechen die Fortsetzung der brutalen Unterdrückung der kaukasischen Völker durch die zaristische Autokratie bis 1917 darstellten. Nach dem Zusammenbruch des Stalinismus setzte der neue russische imperialistische Staat diese grausame Politik in zwei Kriegen (1994-1996 und 1999-2009) fort – zunächst unter Jelzin und dann unter Putin. Die RCIT unterstützt den Befreiungskampf des tschetschenischen Volkes für eine unabhängige Republik Ichkeria und steht ebenso an der Seite des gerechten nationalen Verteidigungskrieges des ukrainischen Volkes gegen den russischen Imperialismus.

Ulsan 50th Emergency Action for Peace in Palestine

The 50th Ulsan Emergency Action for Peace in Palestine was held. Although participation was smaller than usual due to Hyundai Motor and major parts companies being on Lunar New Year holiday shutdown, the action continued without hesitation. Massacre and occupation do not take holidays, and imperialist wars do not pause. As before, we took to the streets to demand the liberation of Palestine and international solidarity.

On this day, the Vice-Chair of the KCTU Ulsan Regional Headquarters, officials from the Metal Workers’ Union Ulsan branch, Hyundai Motor union organizers, the GS M-Tech branch chair, the Hyundai Heavy Industries in-house subcontract workers’ branch chair, a Hyundai Motor Yeol Society operating committee member, Bread and Roses activists, solidarity citizens, activists from the Workers’ Revolutionary Party (Preparatory Committee), and activists from March to Socialism participated. Activists from various labor sectors and social movements gathered together, affirming that the question of Palestine is not only an issue for the Korean working class but a shared task of workers and oppressed people worldwide.

The Expansion of Imperialist War

During and around the Lunar New Year holiday period, military tensions intensified across the world. The United States, following its invasion of Venezuela, has continued for over a month to blockade energy and essential goods entering Cuba, pushing the entire society toward paralysis. This is not merely a diplomatic dispute but an imperialist economic blockade war.

Israel has occupied 60% of the Gaza Strip while maintaining its blockade and expanding attacks along the so-called “yellow line.” In the West Bank, far-right Zionist forces are expanding areas of control and occupation. Airstrikes in southern Lebanon have resulted in more than 30 casualties. These are not defensive measures, but military offensives aimed at expanding colonial domination.

Trump convened a so-called “peace committee” meeting in Washington aimed at strengthening colonial control over Gaza, demanded the disarmament of Palestinian resistance forces, and even threatened possible airstrikes on Iran. This is not peace, but political deception designed to reorganize and consolidate the occupation order.

In the East China Sea, U.S.–Japan joint air force exercises were conducted beyond the First Island Chain linking the Philippines, Taiwan, and Japan, aimed at containing China. Meanwhile, U.S. and Chinese air forces confronted one another in the skies above the West Sea of the Korean Peninsula.

While Trump portrays himself as a “messenger of peace,” in reality he is escalating military strategies to restore and maintain imperialist hegemony in the Caribbean region of North America, the Middle East, and the East China Sea. This is not merely the policy of one individual but the result of intensified imperialist rivalry for dominance amid the global crisis of capitalism.

Statements and Positions at the Ulsan Action

Speakers at the Ulsan emergency action strongly condemned Israel’s ongoing genocide and colonial occupation policies.

One speaker quoted a Korean scholar of international politics, saying, “The era of elegant hypocrisy has passed; the era of honest barbarism has arrived.” He argued that the world has entered a stage of open imperialism where violence is no longer hidden behind diplomatic rhetoric. He stressed that internationalist solidarity among workers and citizens is urgently needed to resist this development.

Another speaker condemned the Korean government’s move to join the so-called “peace committee,” opposing the use of public taxes and finances to legitimize the occupation order.

They demanded the immediate cessation of direct and indirect cooperation with the occupation regime, including military-industrial collaboration with Israel and the involvement of Korean state and corporate actors such as the Korea National Oil Corporation, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment, and Hanwha Group.

“Do workers and citizens want to live slightly better off through profits gained from participating in the genocide of Palestine? Can we accept that the Korean government and corporations accumulate wealth by being complicit in genocide? This is an act that shames us all.”

Speakers also pointed out that U.S. foreign wars and domestic repression of migrants stem from the same system. Imperialism strengthens external colonial domination and internal oppression simultaneously. The struggle for the liberation of Palestine, they emphasized, is inseparable from the struggle to defend the rights of workers and oppressed people around the world.

[팔레스타인 평화를 위한 울산 50차 긴급행동]

팔레스타인 평화를 위한 울산 50차 긴급행동이 진행되었습니다. 현대자동차와 주요 부품사들이 설 연휴에 들어간 상황이라 참여 인원은 많지 않았지만, 행동은 흔들림 없이 이어졌습니다. 학살과 점령은 연휴를 갖지 않으며, 제국주의 전쟁 역시 멈추지 않기 때문입니다. 우리는 이전과 다름없이 거리에서 팔레스타인 해방과 국제 연대를 외쳤습니다.

이날 민주노총 울산지역본부 부본부장, 금속노조 울산지부 미비부장, 현대자동차지부 조직6부장, GS엠텍지회 지회장, 현대중공업 사내하청지회 지회장, 현대자동차 열사회 운영위원, 빵과장미 활동가, 연대 시민, 노동자혁명당(준) 활동가, 사회주의를 향한 전진 활동가가 함께했습니다. 다양한 노동 현장과 사회운동의 활동가들이 한 자리에 모여, 팔레스타인 문제를 한국 노동자 계급의 문제이자 세계 노동자 인민의 공동 과제로 확인했습니다.

제국주의 전쟁의 확대

설 연휴 기간과 그 전후로 세계 곳곳에서는 군사적 긴장이 한층 고조되었습니다.

미국은 베네수엘라 침공에 이어 쿠바로 들어가는 에너지와 생필품을 한 달 넘게 봉쇄하며 사회 전반을 마비 상태로 몰아넣고 있습니다. 이는 단순한 외교 갈등이 아니라 제국주의적 경제 봉쇄 전쟁입니다.

이스라엘은 가자지구의 60%를 점령하고 봉쇄를 지속하며, ‘노란 선’ 공격을 확대하고 있습니다. 서안지구에서는 시온주의 극우세력이 통제·점령 지역을 확장하고 있으며, 레바논 남부 공습으로 30명 이상의 사상자가 발생했습니다. 이는 방어가 아니라 식민지 지배 확대를 위한 군사적 공격입니다.

트럼프는 워싱턴에서 가자지구 식민 통치를 강화하려는 ‘가짜 평화위원회’ 회의를 열고, 팔레스타인 저항 세력의 무장 해제를 요구하며 이란 공습 가능성까지 언급했습니다. 이는 평화가 아니라 점령 질서의 재편을 위한 정치적 기만입니다.

동중국해에서는 필리핀·대만·일본 열도를 잇는 제1도련선을 넘어 중국을 견제하기 위한 미·일 공군 연합훈련이 진행되었고, 한반도 서해 상공에서는 미국과 중국 공군 전력이 대치하는 상황까지 벌어졌습니다.

트럼프가 ‘평화의 전도사’를 자처하지만, 실상은 북아메리카 카리브해 지역, 중동, 동중국해 등지에서 제국주의 패권을 회복하고 유지하려는 군사 전략을 강화하는 과정입니다. 이는 단지 한 인물의 정책이 아니라, 세계 자본주의 위기 속에서 패권을 둘러싼 제국주의 경쟁이 격화된 결과입니다.

울산 행동에서의 발언과 입장

이날 울산 긴급행동 연사들은 이스라엘의 지속적인 집단학살과 식민지 점령 정책을 강력히 규탄했습니다.

한 연사는 “우아한 위선의 시대가 가고 정직한 야만의 시대가 왔다”는 국제정치학자의 말을 인용하며, 오늘날 세계가 더 이상 외교적 수사로 폭력을 감추지 않는 노골적 제국주의 시대로 진입했다고 지적했습니다. 그는 이를 막아내기 위해 노동자·시민의 연대와 국제주의적 관점이 절실하다고 강조했습니다.

또 다른 연사는 한국 정부가 ‘가짜 평화위원회’에 가입하려는 움직임을 규탄하며, 국민의 세금과 재정을 점령 질서를 정당화하는 기구에 투입하는 것에 반대한다고 밝혔습니다.

이스라엘과의 방산 협력, 한국석유공사, HD현대건설기계, 한화그룹 등 한국 정부와 기업들이 직·간접적으로 점령 체제에 협력하는 행위를 즉각 중단해야 한다고 주장했습니다.

“팔레스타인 집단학살에 가담해 얻은 이익으로 조금 더 잘살게 되는 것을 노동자 시민은 원하는가? 한국 정부와 기업이 집단학살에 공모하여 부를 축적하는 것을 우리는 인정할 수 있는가? 그것은 우리 모두를 수치스럽게 하는 행위다.”

또한 미국의 대외 전쟁 정책과 국내 이주민 탄압이 동일한 체제의 산물임을 지적하며, 제국주의는 외부 식민지 지배와 내부 억압을 동시에 강화한다고 강조했습니다. 팔레스타인 해방을 위한 투쟁은 곧 전 세계 노동자 인민의 권리를 지키는 투쟁임을 분명히 했습니다.

Argentina: Mobilization Against Labor Reform

On 11^th February, a demonstration was held in Argentina in front of the parliament building, where the debate began on the labour reform promoted by the Milei government. This reform seeks to eliminate rights and historical gains in order to lower costs for capitalists and increase the exploitation of the working class.

The demonstration was organized by the CGT (General Confederation of Labor). Union delegates attended, as the union bureaucracy did not call for a strike that day, thus preventing the rank and file from mobilizing. The left also attended the demonstration, as did some sectors of Peronism (the main opposition party which is pro-capitalist). The demonstration was a formality, since the CGT had negotiated the reform with the government and Peronism, which guaranteed the bill's passage in the Senate.

In the middle of the day, the police began to repress the demonstration. At that point, most of the unions withdrew, facing tear gas and rubber bullets. Only the left-wing contingents and a few demonstrators remained, carrying out acts of self-defense.

Our party, Convergencia Socialista (section of the Revolutionary Communist International Tendency), remained at the rally until all the other contingents withdrew. In response to the CGT's vile betrayal, we called for the self-organization of the rank and file and for the promotion of a consistent struggle, together with the left and combative sectors willing to fight accordingly.

Argentina, movilizacion contra la reforma laboral

El pasado 11 de febrero se realizó en Argentina una concentración frente al parlamento, donde comenzóa tratarse la reforma laboral impulsada por el gobierno de Milei, que busca quitar derechos y eliminar conquistas históricas, para bajar los costos a los capitalistas e incrementar la explotación de la clase obrera.

La concentración fue convocada por la CGT, asistieron los delegados de los sindicatos, ya que la burocracia no llamó a un paro ese día, para que pudieran movilizarse las bases.

La izquierdq asistio a la convocatoria, tambiénlo hicieron algunos sectores del peronismo (el principal partido patronal de oposición), la concentracion fue un acto formal, ya que la CGT habia negociado la reforma con el gobierno y el peronismo, que le garantizo la votacion de la ley en la cámara de senadores.

En medio de la jornada la policía comenzó a reprimir la manifestación, en ese momento la mayoría de los sindicatos se retiraron, ante los gases lacrimógenos y las balas de goma, solo quedaron las columnas de la izquierda y algunos manifestantes que llevaron adelante acciones de auto defensa.

Nuestro partido, Convergencia Socialista, sección argentina de la CCRI, estuvo en la concentracion hasta que se retiraron todas las columnas y ante la vil traición de la CGT, llamó a la auto organización de las bases y a impulsar, junto a la izquierda y los sectores combativos dispuestos a luchar de forma consecuente.

No dia 11de fevereiro, uma manifestação ocorreu na Argentina em frente ao prédio do parlamento, onde teve início o debate sobre a reforma trabalhista promovida pelo governo Milei. Essa reforma busca eliminar direitos e conquistas históricas para reduzir custos para os capitalistas e aumentar a exploração da classe trabalhadora.

A manifestação foi organizada pela CGT (Confederação Geral do Trabalho). Delegados sindicais compareceram, já que a burocracia sindical não convocou uma greve naquele dia, impedindo assim a mobilização da base. A esquerda também participou da manifestação, assim como alguns setores do peronismo (o principal partido de oposição, pró-capitalista). A manifestação foi uma mera formalidade, visto que a CGT havia negociado a reforma com o governo e o peronismo, o que garantiu a aprovação do projeto de lei no Senado.

Em pleno dia, a polícia começou a reprimir a manifestação. Nesse momento, a maioria dos sindicalistas recuaram, enfrentando gás lacrimogêneo e balas de borracha. Apenas as colunas de esquerda e alguns manifestantes permaneceram, realizando ações de autodefesa.

Nosso partido, Convergência Socialista (seção da Tendência Internacional Comunista Revolucionária), permaneceu no comício até que todas as outras colunas se retirassem. Em resposta à vil traição da CGT, convocamos à auto-organização das bases e à promoção, juntamente com a esquerda e os setores combativos que estejam dispostos a lutar de forma consequente.

Le 11 février, une manifestation a eu lieu en Argentine devant le bâtiment du Parlement, où a débuté le débat sur la réforme du travail promue par le gouvernement Milei. Cette réforme vise à supprimer des droits et des acquis historiques afin de réduire les coûts pour les capitalistes et d'accroître l'exploitation de la classe ouvrière.

La manifestation était organisée par la CGT (Confédération Générale du Travail). Les délégués syndicaux y ont faiblement participé, la bureaucratie syndicale n'ayant pas appelé à la grève ce jour-là, empêchant ainsi la base de se mobiliser. La gauche a également participé à la manifestation, tout comme certains secteurs du péronisme (le principal parti d'opposition, pro-capitaliste). La manifestation était une formalité, puisque la CGT avait négocié la réforme avec le gouvernement et le péronisme, ce qui garantissait l'adoption du projet de loi au Sénat.

En milieu de journée, la police a commencé à réprimer la manifestation. À ce moment-là, face aux gaz lacrymogènes et aux balles en caoutchouc, la plupart des syndicats ont fui. Seuls les contingents de gauche et quelques manifestants restèrent donc, menant des actions d'autodéfense.

Notre parti, Convergencia Socialista (section du Courant communiste révolutionnaire internationale CCRI/RCIT), est resté au rassemblement jusqu'à ce que tous les autres contingents se retirent. En réponse à la vile trahison de la CGT, nous avons appelé à l'auto-organisation de la base et à la promotion d'une lutte cohérente, en collaboration avec les secteurs de gauche et combatifs prêts à se battre en conséquence.

South Korea: Report on the 49th Ulsan Emergency Action for Peace in Palestine

Today, we continued the 49th Ulsan Emergency Action for Peace in Palestine. This action was not merely a solidarity rally, but a denunciation of and resistance against the imperialist system itself, which is driving today’s world into war, massacres, conflict, and instability.

The wars, massacres, and violence against the masses unfolding across the globe are not accidental. They are the result of domination and exploitation by imperialist powers centered on the United States, and of military interventions and invasions carried out to maintain that domination. In this context, the speakers clearly exposed and condemned the structural connection between U.S. imperialist aggression and the genocide of the Palestinian people carried out by Israel’s far-right Zionist government.

In particular, strong criticism was directed at the blatant imperialist aggression pursued by the Trump administration. Trump has blockaded the Caribbean and committed the unprecedented crime of invading Venezuela and abducting President Maduro, violently trampling on international order. These acts represent the typical imperialist practice of aggression carried out under the pretexts of “peace” and “security,” and they are based on the very same logic as the massacres being perpetrated in Palestine.

The speakers also exposed the deeply deceptive nature of the so-called “ceasefire” that Trump claimed to have led on October 10 of last year. From the outset, this ceasefire was destined to be broken. In reality, Israel has violated the ceasefire more than 1,450 times over the past four months alone. As a result, more than 570 Palestinian residents, including 100 children, have been killed. It has become unmistakably clear that this so-called “ceasefire” functioned as a criminal mechanism that suppressed resistance in Gaza while effectively permitting Israel’s unilateral airstrikes, attacks, and genocide.

The speakers pointed out that Israel’s genocide against the Palestinian people is fundamentally no different from the state violence and racist massacres historically carried out against Black communities within the United States. While the international community has failed to stop the slaughter in Palestine, massacres and wars are spreading across the world. If the freedom and liberation of Palestine are not achieved, imperialism will continue to sacrifice other peoples whenever it sees fit.

Therefore, the peace and freedom of Palestine are not merely a regional issue, but an international task directly linked to the survival of workers and oppressed people worldwide. Only by halting Israel’s genocide through international solidarity and struggle can the recurring cycle of massacres and wars across the globe be broken.

The speakers referred to the example of dockworkers in Italy and other parts of Southern Europe who have gone on strike to oppose genocide by refusing to handle Israel-related cargo. They appealed for workers in South Korea to take even larger and more powerful actions. It was emphasized that what is needed is not merely verbal solidarity, but concrete action to block the flows of weapons, resources, and capital that make genocide possible.

In particular, the responsibility of South Korean corporations such as Hanwha Ocean, Hyundai Construction Equipment, and Korea National Oil Corporation, which are directly or indirectly complicit in Israel’s genocide, was sharply criticized. These corporations accumulate profits drenched in Palestinian blood through arms exports, military cooperation, and resource plunder. We strongly demanded that they immediately halt all weapons transactions and resource exploitation related to Palestine.

It was also clearly stated that the so-called “Board of Peace” led by Trump is by no means an institution for peace, but rather a tool designed to institutionalize colonial domination, ethnic cleansing, and resource plunder in Palestine. There is a serious risk that genocide in Gaza could resume on a full scale during the second phase of the ceasefire. Therefore, we firmly resolved to continue the Ulsan emergency actions for Palestine without interruption.

Today’s action was attended by the Secretary-General and full-time officials of the Ulsan Regional Headquarters of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU), full-time officials of the Ulsan branch of the Korean Metal Workers’ Union, the chairperson and full-time officials of the Hyundai Glovis Ulsan Branch, the chairpersons of the OS and Jinwoo JIS sub-branches, dismissed comrades from the Isu Company of the Hyundai Motor Non-Regular Workers’ Union, activists from Bread and Roses, solidarity citizens, and activists from March to Socialism and the Workers’ Revolutionary Party (Preparatory Committee). A total of 17 people participated.

오늘 우리는 팔레스타인 평화를 위한 울산 49차 긴급행동을 이어갔습니다. 이 행동은 단순한 연대 집회가 아니라, 오늘날 세계를 전쟁과 학살, 분쟁과 불안정으로 몰아넣고 있는 제국주의 체제 그 자체에 대한 고발이자 저항의 실천입니다.

현재 세계 곳곳에서 벌어지는 전쟁과 학살, 민중에 대한 폭력은 우연이 아니라, 미국을 중심으로 한 제국주의 강대국들의 지배와 착취, 그리고 이를 유지하기 위한 군사적 개입과 침략의 결과입니다. 오늘 연사들은 이러한 국제 정세 속에서 미국 제국주의의 침략 정책과 이스라엘 극우 시온주의 정부의 팔레스타인 집단학살이 하나의 구조로 연결되어 있음을 분명히 밝히며 규탄 발언을 이어갔습니다.

특히 미국 트럼프 정권이 벌이고 있는 노골적인 제국주의 침략 행위에 대한 비판이 집중되었습니다. 트럼프는 카리브해를 봉쇄하고, 베네수엘라를 침공해 대통령 마두로를 납치하는 초유의 범죄를 자행하며, 국제 질서를 무력으로 유린했습니다. 이는 “평화”나 “안보”를 명분으로 내세운 제국주의의 전형적인 침략 행태이며, 팔레스타인에서 벌어지는 학살과 동일한 논리 위에 서 있습니다.

또한 지난해 10월 10일 트럼프가 주도했다고 선전된 ‘휴전’이 얼마나 기만적이었는지도 폭로되었습니다. 이 휴전은 이미 시작부터 파기될 운명이었으며, 실제로 이스라엘은 지난 4개월 동안 1,450회가 넘는 휴전 위반을 자행했습니다. 그 결과 어린이 100명을 포함해 570명 이상의 팔레스타인 주민이 학살되었습니다. 이른바 ‘휴전’은 가자지구의 저항을 억누른 상태에서 이스라엘의 일방적인 공습과 공격, 그리고 집단학살을 사실상 용인하는 범죄적 장치였음이 명백히 드러났습니다.

연사들은 이스라엘의 팔레스타인 집단학살이 과거 미국 내에서 벌어진 흑인 민중에 대한 국가 폭력, 인종차별적 학살과 본질적으로 다르지 않다고 지적했습니다. 국제 사회가 팔레스타인 학살을 멈추지 못하고 방조하는 동안, 세계 곳곳에서 또 다른 학살과 전쟁이 확산되고 있습니다. 팔레스타인의 자유와 해방을 쟁취하지 못한다면, 제국주의는 언제든 또 다른 민중을 희생양으로 삼을 것입니다.

그렇기에 팔레스타인의 평화와 자유는 단지 한 지역의 문제가 아니라, 전 세계 노동자·민중의 생존과 직결된 국제적 과제입니다. 이스라엘의 집단학살을 국제연대 투쟁으로 멈춰 세울 때에만, 세계 곳곳에서 반복되는 학살과 전쟁의 고리를 끊을 수 있습니다.

연사들은 이탈리아를 비롯한 남유럽 항만노동자들이 이스라엘 관련 화물 취급을 거부하며 집단학살에 맞서 파업에 나선 사례를 언급하며, 한국 노동자들 역시 더 크고 강력한 행동에 나서야 한다고 호소했습니다. 말로 하는 연대가 아니라, 실제로 학살을 가능하게 하는 무기와 자원, 자본의 흐름을 차단하는 행동이 필요하다는 점이 강조되었습니다.

특히 이스라엘 집단학살에 직·간접적으로 공모하고 있는 한화오션, 현대건설기계, 한국석유공사와 같은 한국 기업들의 책임이 지적되었습니다. 이들 기업은 무기 수출과 군수 협력, 자원 수탈을 통해 팔레스타인 민중의 피 위에서 이윤을 축적하고 있습니다. 우리는 이들 기업이 지금 당장 팔레스타인 관련 무기 거래와 자원 수탈을 중단할 것을 강력히 요구했습니다.

아울러 트럼프가 주도하는 이른바 ‘평화위원회’가 결코 평화를 위한 기구가 아니라, 팔레스타인에 대한 식민 지배와 인종청소, 자원 약탈을 제도화하기 위한 도구임이 분명히 지적되었습니다. 휴전 2단계에서 가자지구에 대한 집단학살이 다시 전면화될 가능성에 대한 경계가 필요하며, 그렇기에 울산에서의 팔레스타인 긴급행동을 멈추지 않고 지속적으로 이어갈 것을 굳게 결의했습니다.

오늘 행동에는 민주노총 울산지역본부 사무처장과 상근 간부, 금속노조 울산지부 상근 간부, 현대글로비스 울산지회 지회장과 상근 간부, OS분회장, 진우JIS 분회장, 현대자동차 비정규직지회 이수기업 해고 동지들, 빵과장미 활동가, 연대 시민, 그리고 사회주의를 향한 전진, 노동자혁명당(준) 활동가들도 참석했습니다. 이상 17명이 참석했습니다.

London: Mass Protest against Genocidal Israel

About 100,000 people marched in Britain’s capital in solidarity with the Palestinian people. The demonstration, which started at Russel Square and ended at Whitehall, was organised by the Palestinian Solidarity Campaign, Friends of Al Asqa and the Stop the War Coalition.

Once more, it was an impressive demonstration which reflected the ongoing global solidarity with the people suffering in Gaza. Popular slogans shouted on the march were “Stop Bombing Palestine”, “Hands off Gaza”, “End the War Now” “Ceasefire Now”, “Victory to the Intifada”, etc. Comrades of the RCIT participated in the demonstration and sold our journals.

South Korea: The 48th Ulsan Emergency Action for Peace in Palestine

Under the banner of Palestinian liberation and the struggle against imperialism, we held the 48th Emergency Action in Ulsan. About 20 comrades who gathered from Ulsan and Gyeongju once again affirmed that, in the spirit of international working-class solidarity, we stand with the Palestinian people and will never stop fighting against Zionism and imperialist war crimes.

We carried out the 48th Ulsan Emergency Action for Peace in Palestine. On this day, we were especially glad to welcome comrades from the Gyeongju area: the organizing director of the Gyeongju branch of the Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters of the KCTU, a full-time organizer from the Gyeongju branch of the Korean Metal Workers’ Union, an activist from the Gyeongju Women Workers’ Association, the senior vice president and full-time officials of the Ulsan Regional Headquarters of the KCTU, the president and full-time officials of the Ulsan branch of the Metal Workers’ Union, the chair of the Ulsan branch of Hyundai Glovis and the chair of its OS sub-branch, the chair of the Jinwoo JIS sub-branch, the chair of the in-house subcontractors’ union of Hyundai Heavy Industries, a dismissed worker from the Hyundai Motors irregular workers’ union (Isu Company), the executive chair of the Seo Young-ho and Yang Bong-su Martyrs’ Spirit Succession Association, activists from Bread and Roses, activists from the Workers’ Revolutionary Party (Preparatory Committee), activists from March to Socialism, and many others. In total, around 20 comrades participated.

As of January 2026, U.S. imperialism, under the Trump administration, is driving the entire world into a spiral of war and chaos in an attempt to restore its weakening hegemony. The invasion of Venezuela and the abduction of President Maduro and his wife, attempts at colonial domination over Greenland and reckless claims of annexing Canada, threats of bombing Iran, and support for reactionary and murderous forces in Syria are all part of the U.S. imperialist strategy to repartition the world. This is not about democracy or peace, but nothing more than predatory violence to maintain capitalist and military domination.

The Zionist state of Israel, as a key ally of U.S. imperialism, continues genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank. Israel still militarily occupies more than 60% of Gaza and refuses to withdraw, while participating in the so-called “Board of Peace” to deceive the international community. At the same time, it is expanding the war by bombing southern Lebanon, pushing the entire Middle East into deeper instability. This is not “self-defense,” but organized massacre and an imperialist war of aggression.

We make this absolutely clear: The Palestinian struggle for liberation is just, and the Zionist state of Israel is nothing but an imperialist outpost in the Middle East. Genuine peace is impossible without the overthrow of imperialism and Zionism. Any “Board of Peace” led by Trump is merely a deceptive mechanism to preserve the imperialist order and cannot bring liberation to the oppressed.

The speakers at today’s Emergency Action raised the following demands clearly: No matter the form or stage of any ceasefire, Israel must immediately stop the massacre in Gaza and withdraw completely.

The blockade of Gaza must be lifted immediately, and full, unconditional support for food, medical care, and the reconstruction of housing must be guaranteed.

The Palestinian people have the right to determine their own future, and this right must not be trampled under armed occupation.

We also strongly condemn the fact that the South Korean government and South Korean capital are complicit in Israel’s war crimes.

Excavators produced by Hyundai Heavy Industries and Hyundai Construction Equipment have for more than 15 years been used to destroy Palestinian homes and to expand Zionist settlements.

The Korea National Oil Corporation, a state-owned company headquartered in Ulsan, is participating in Israel’s plan to plunder offshore gas belonging to Palestine.

Hanwha Group is producing and exporting various weapons, accumulating profits through war and massacre.

This is not simply “business.” It is active complicity in genocide and ethnic cleansing. The South Korean government and South Korean capital are profiting from blood-stained crimes by participating in Israel’s war crimes. This is a criminal act that stains the name of the South Korean working class and people. We must stop this through the struggle of the working class.

We call for the following:

The solidarity movement with Palestine is not a matter of humanitarian sympathy, but a part of the revolutionary struggle against imperialism.

Against U.S. imperialism, Zionism, and all governments and capitals that act as their agents, the united action of the international working class is essential.

If war-monger Trump and the mass murderer Netanyahu are not stopped by the struggle of workers and the oppressed, the world will inevitably be dragged into even greater flames of war.

Although today’s action by comrades from Ulsan and Gyeongju is small, it is an important part of the international anti-imperialist and anti-war struggle. We will not stop fighting until the Palestinian people are liberated and until imperialism and Zionism are overthrown.

우리는 팔레스타인 해방과 반제국주의 투쟁의 깃발 아래 울산에서 48차 긴급행동을 진행했습니다. 울산과 경주에서 모인 20여 명의 동지들은 노동계급 국제연대의 정신으로 팔레스타인 민중과 함께하고, 시온주의와 제국주의 전쟁 범죄에 맞선 투쟁을 멈추지 않을 것을 다시 한 번 확인했습니다.

2026년 1월 현재, 미국 제국주의는 트럼프 행정부 하에서 약화되는 패권을 회복하기 위해 전 세계를 전쟁과 혼란의 소용돌이로 몰아넣고 있습니다. 베네수엘라 침공과 마두로 대통령 부부 납치, 그린란드에 대한 식민 지배 시도와 캐나다 합병 망언, 이란에 대한 폭격 협박, 시리아에서 반동 세력과 학살 세력을 지지하는 행태는 모두 미국 제국주의의 세계 재분할 전략의 일부입니다. 이는 민주주의나 평화를 위한 것이 아니라, 자본과 군사 패권을 유지하기 위한 강도적 폭력에 불과합니다.

이스라엘 시온주의 국가는 이러한 미국 제국주의의 핵심 동맹으로서 가자지구와 서안지구에서 팔레스타인 민중에 대한 집단학살과 인종청소를 계속하고 있습니다. 이스라엘은 가자지구 60% 이상을 군사적으로 점령한 채 철수하지 않고 있으며, 이른바 ‘평화위원회’에 참가해 국제사회를 기만하고 있습니다. 동시에 레바논 남부 전역을 폭격해 또 다른 전쟁을 확대하며 중동 전체를 불안정으로 몰아넣고 있습니다. 이것은 ‘자위’가 아니라 조직적 학살이자 제국주의적 침략 전쟁입니다.

우리는 다음을 분명히 합니다.

팔레스타인 해방 투쟁은 정당하며, 시온주의 국가 이스라엘은 중동의 제국주의 전초기지일 뿐입니다. 진정한 평화는 제국주의와 시온주의를 타도하지 않고서는 불가능합니다. 트럼프가 주도하는 어떤 ‘평화위원회’도 제국주의 질서를 유지하기 위한 기만적 장치일 뿐이며, 억압받는 민중에게 해방을 가져다주지 못합니다.

오늘 긴급행동에 참가한 연사들은 다음과 같은 요구를 분명히 제기했습니다.

2단계 휴전이든 그 어떤 형식이든, 이스라엘은 즉각 가자지구에서 학살을 중단하고 전면 철수해야 합니다.

가자지구 봉쇄는 즉각 해제되어야 하며, 식량·의료·주거 복구를 위한 전면적이고 무조건적인 지원이 보장되어야 합니다.

팔레스타인 민중은 스스로의 미래를 결정할 권리를 가지며, 그 권리는 무장 점령과 학살 속에서 짓밟혀서는 안 됩니다.

또한 우리는 한국 정부와 한국 자본이 이스라엘의 전쟁 범죄에 공모하고 있다는 사실을 강력히 규탄합니다.

현대중공업·현대건설기계의 굴착기는 15년 이상 팔레스타인 주거지 파괴와 시온주의 정착촌 확장의 도구로 사용되어 왔습니다.

울산에 본사를 둔 한국석유공사는 팔레스타인 해저 가스를 약탈하려는 이스라엘의 계획에 동참하고 있습니다.

한화그룹은 각종 무기를 생산·수출하며 전쟁과 학살로 이윤을 축적하고 있습니다.

이것은 단순한 기업의 ‘사업’이 아니라, 집단학살과 인종청소에 대한 적극적 공모 행위입니다. 한국 정부와 한국 자본은 이스라엘의 전쟁 범죄에 가담해 피 묻은 이윤을 챙기고 있으며, 이는 한국 노동자와 민중의 이름을 더럽히는 범죄 행위입니다. 우리는 노동자 계급의 투쟁을 통해 이것을 반드시 중단시켜야 합니다.

팔레스타인 연대 투쟁은 인도주의적 연민이 아니라 반제국주의 혁명 투쟁의 일부입니다.

Austria: No Deportations of Chechens to Russia!

Activists gathered in front of the Estonian embassy to protest against the planned deportation of two Chechen youth, Alikhan Kasuev and Adam Denizov, by the Estonian state to Russia. They fled Russia in order to avoid forced conscription for Putin’s war against Ukraine. If they are deported to Russia, they will certainly be brutally persecuted or killed.

The rally was organized by the Multiculture Democracy Initiative and led by Dunajeva Roza - the representative of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria (exile) in Austria. A Chechen and a Ukrainian speaker addressed the rally, as well as Michael Pröbsting, the International Secretary of the RCIT.

Michael denounced the planned deportations of Alikhan and Adam. He explained that the hostility of the EU is not motivated by support for the oppressed peoples but only by imperialist rivalry. In fact, the Great Powers often collaborate against small peoples. Examples for this are their joint opposition to the independence struggle of the Chechen people or the planned sell-out of Ukraine in the current negotiations of Trump and Putin. The RCIT supports the liberation struggle of the Chechen and Ukrainian people against Russian imperialism.

Wien: Keine Abschiebungen von Tschetschenen nach Russland!

Aktivistinnen und Aktivisten versammelten sich vor der estnischen Botschaft, um gegen die geplante Abschiebung der beiden tschetschenischen Jugendlichen Alikhan Kasuev und Adam Denizov durch den estnischen Staat nach Russland zu protestieren. Die beiden waren aus Russland geflohen, um der Zwangsrekrutierung für Putins Krieg gegen die Ukraine zu entgehen. Sollten sie nach Russland abgeschoben werden, droht ihnen mit Sicherheit brutale Verfolgung oder gar der Tod.

Die Kundgebung wurde von der Multikulturellen Demokratie-Initiative organisiert und von Dunajeva Roza, der Vertreterin der Tschetschenischen Republik Ichkeria (Exil) in Österreich, geleitet. Neben einem tschetschenischen und einem ukrainischen Redner sprach auch Michael Pröbsting, der internationale Sekretär der RCIT.

Michael verurteilte die geplanten Abschiebungen von Alikhan und Adam. Er erklärte, die Feindseligkeit der EU sei nicht durch die Unterstützung unterdrückter Völker, sondern allein durch imperialistische Rivalität motiviert. Tatsächlich kollaborieren die Großmächte oft gegen kleine Völker. Beispiele hierfür seien ihre gemeinsame Opposition gegen den Unabhängigkeitskampf des tschetschenischen Volkes oder der geplante Ausverkauf der Ukraine in den aktuellen Verhandlungen zwischen Trump und Putin. Das RCIT unterstützt den Befreiungskampf des tschetschenischen und ukrainischen Volkes gegen den russischen Imperialismus.

South Korea: 47th Ulsan Emergency Action for Peace in Palestine

The new year of 2026 has once again begun with the tragedy of war and massacre. The United States has invaded Venezuela, causing more than 80 deaths, and Israel has bombed the entire Gaza Strip, killing at least 14 Palestinians, including five children.

The fact that the year has begun with imperialist aggression and mass killings shows clearly how deeply the world has entered an era of crisis and barbarism.

Under these circumstances, we carried out the 47th Ulsan Emergency Action for Peace in Palestine. This action was joined by the President and full-time officers of the Ulsan Regional Headquarters of the KCTU, full-time officers of the Ulsan Branch of the Korean Metal Workers’ Union, the President and officers of the Hyundai Glovis Ulsan Branch, the Acting Chairperson of the In-house Subcontractors’ Branch of Hyundai Heavy Industries, a dismissed worker from Isu Company of the Hyundai Motors Non-regular Workers’ Union, members of the Hyundai Motors Branch, 2030 Hornet, the Seo Young-ho and Yang Bong-su Martyrs’ Spirit Succession Association, Bread and Roses, the Workers’ Revolutionary Party (Preparatory Committee), and activists from March to Socialism. In total, 18 workers, citizens, and social movement activists participated.

Although the number of participants was not large, this emergency action clearly showed what position workers and the people must take against the imperialist wars and aggression that are now sweeping the world. The speakers strongly condemned Israel’s genocide and colonial domination of the Palestinian people, and at the same time emphasized that the U.S. invasion of Venezuela is also a criminal act born of the same imperialist system. Although Palestine and Venezuela are geographically far apart, their peoples stand on the same front line of struggle, as both are targets of invasion, domination, and resource plunder by imperialist powers.

Israel continues its occupation of more than half of the Gaza Strip, has broken the ceasefire, and is carrying on its blockade, bombardment, and massacres. This is not a simple military clash, but an act of ethnic cleansing aimed at uprooting the Palestinian people, and a continuation of a long-standing colonial policy. Gaza has effectively been turned into a giant prison, where the people are forced to live under the threat of collective death without proper access to electricity, water, food, or medicine.

The U.S. invasion of Venezuela is also a war of aggression that blatantly violates international law, and an imperialist crime aimed at plundering oil and mineral resources and maintaining and strengthening U.S. hegemony in Latin America. This is not merely an attack on Venezuela alone, but a warning and a threat to the entire people of Latin America. If the invasion of Venezuela is not stopped, the next targets could be Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, and even Greenland.

We must clearly recognize that all these wars and acts of aggression arise from the structural crisis of the global capitalist system. Imperialist powers, in the midst of economic crisis and rivalry for hegemony, attempt to overcome their difficulties through military invasion, resource plunder, and domination of weaker nations. The price is always paid with the blood and lives of workers and the people. War is not the problem of individual leaders, but the inevitable result of capitalism and imperialism.

In particular, if U.S. imperialism is allowed to continue its invasions and resource plunder in the American continent without any restraint, the flames of war will inevitably spread to East Asia and the Korean Peninsula, where the U.S.-China rivalry is concentrated. The wars in Palestine and Venezuela are by no means someone else’s problem; they are directly connected to our own future. If we fail to stop these aggressions today, their consequences will inevitably return to our own people tomorrow.

Therefore, workers and citizens in Ulsan must pay attention to the imperialist wars taking place across the globe and step forward as active agents of international solidarity. We must firmly support the resistance of the Palestinian people who are fighting against Israel’s occupation of Gaza and its genocide carried out under U.S. backing, and we must support the struggle of the Venezuelan people who are defending their sovereignty and right to exist against U.S. aggression. This is not a matter of supporting any particular state or regime, but a question of workers’ and people’s internationalism that opposes all imperialist powers and wars of aggression.

For more than two years, comrades of the Ulsan Emergency Action for Peace in Palestine have continuously raised their voices in the streets against Israel’s genocide and colonial policies. This has not been a mere act of solidarity, but a persistent political practice against the imperialist world order. Now, in addition, it is time to make even clearer our task of building anti-imperialist and anti-war international solidarity against the U.S. invasion of Venezuela, its plunder of resources, and its ambition to dominate weaker nations.

In 2026, we cannot stop. For the freedom and liberation of Palestine, for the sovereignty and right to life of the Venezuelan people, and for the peace and dignity of workers and peoples all over the world, the struggle must continue.

Once again, we clearly declare:

Israel must immediately stop the genocide in the Gaza Strip!

Israel must completely withdraw from the Gaza Strip!

The United States must immediately stop its invasion of Venezuela and its plunder of oil and resources!

Oppose all imperialist wars!

2026년 새해는 또다시 전쟁과 학살이라는 비극으로 시작되었습니다. 미국은 베네수엘라를 침공하여 80여 명이 넘는 희생자를 발생시켰고, 이스라엘은 가자지구 전역을 폭격하여 어린이 5명을 포함해 최소 14명의 팔레스타인 인민을 살해했습니다.

새해의 출발점이 제국주의 침략과 집단학살이라는 사실은, 오늘날 세계가 얼마나 깊은 위기와 야만의 시대로 들어섰는지를 적나라하게 보여주고 있습니다.

이러한 상황 속에서 우리는 팔레스타인 평화를 위한 울산 47차 긴급행동을 진행했습니다. 이번 긴급행동에는 민주노총 울산지역본부 본부장과 상근 간부, 금속노조 울산지부 상근 간부, 현대글로비스 울산지회 지회장과 간부, 현대중공업지부 사내하청지회 비대위원장, 현대차 비정규직지회 이수기업 해고자, 현대자동차지부 조합원, 2030 말벌, 서영호·양봉수 열사정신계승사업회, 빵과장미, 노동자혁명당(준), 사회주의를향한전진 활동가 등 총 18명의 노동자·시민·사회운동 활동가들이 함께했습니다.

참여 인원은 많지 않았지만, 이번 긴급행동은 현재 세계를 뒤덮고 있는 제국주의 전쟁과 침략에 맞서 노동자와 인민이 어떤 입장에 서야 하는지를 분명히 하는 자리였습니다. 연사들은 이스라엘의 팔레스타인 인민에 대한 집단학살과 식민지 지배 정책을 강력히 규탄하는 동시에, 미국의 베네수엘라 침공 또한 같은 제국주의 체제에서 비롯된 범죄 행위라는 점을 강조했습니다. 팔레스타인과 베네수엘라는 지리적으로 멀리 떨어져 있지만, 두 인민은 모두 제국주의 강대국의 침략과 지배, 자원 약탈의 대상이라는 점에서 동일한 투쟁 전선 위에 서 있습니다.

이스라엘은 가자지구를 절반 이상 점령한 채 휴전을 파기하고 봉쇄와 폭격, 학살을 계속하고 있습니다. 이는 단순한 군사 충돌이 아니라, 팔레스타인 인민을 뿌리째 제거하려는 인종청소이며, 오랜 기간 지속되어 온 식민지 정책의 연장선입니다. 가자지구는 사실상 거대한 감옥으로 전락했으며, 인민들은 전기·물·식량·의약품조차 제대로 공급받지 못한 채 집단적 처형의 위협 속에서 살아가고 있습니다.

미국의 베네수엘라 침공 역시 국제법을 정면으로 위반한 침략 전쟁이며, 석유와 광물 자원을 강탈하고 라틴아메리카에서의 패권을 유지·강화하기 위한 제국주의적 범죄입니다. 이는 단지 베네수엘라 한 나라만을 겨냥한 것이 아니라, 라틴아메리카 전체 인민에 대한 경고이자 협박입니다. 만약 베네수엘라 침공이 저지되지 않는다면, 그 다음 희생양은 콜롬비아, 쿠바, 멕시코, 더 나아가 그린란드까지 확대될 가능성을 배제할 수 없습니다.

우리는 이 모든 전쟁과 침략이 세계 자본주의 체제의 구조적 위기에서 비롯되었다는 점을 분명히 인식해야 합니다. 제국주의 강대국들은 경제 위기와 패권 경쟁 속에서 군사적 침략과 자원 약탈, 약소국 지배를 통해 위기를 돌파하려 하고 있습니다. 그 대가는 항상 노동자와 인민의 피와 생명으로 치러집니다. 전쟁은 특정 지도자 개인의 문제가 아니라, 자본주의·제국주의 체제가 낳는 필연적인 결과입니다.

특히 미 제국주의가 아메리카 대륙에서 침략과 자원 수탈을 아무런 제재 없이 계속한다면, 전쟁의 불길은 필연적으로 미·중 패권 경쟁이 집중된 동아시아와 한반도로까지 번질 위험이 큽니다. 팔레스타인과 베네수엘라에서 벌어지는 전쟁은 결코 남의 나라 일이 아니라, 바로 우리의 미래와 직결된 문제입니다. 오늘 이 침략을 막지 못하면, 내일 그 피해는 우리 인민에게 돌아올 수밖에 없습니다.

따라서 울산 노동자·시민은 지구촌 곳곳에서 벌어지는 제국주의 전쟁에 주목하고, 이에 맞선 국제연대의 주체로 나서야 합니다. 미국의 지원 아래 자행되는 이스라엘의 가자지구 점령과 집단학살에 맞서 싸우는 팔레스타인 인민의 저항을 적극 지지해야 하며, 미 제국주의의 침략에 맞서 베네수엘라 인민의 주권과 생존권을 지키려는 투쟁을 지지해야 합니다. 이는 특정 국가나 정권을 지지하는 문제가 아니라, 모든 제국주의 강대국과 침략 전쟁에 반대하는 노동자·인민 국제주의의 문제입니다.

팔레스타인 평화를 위한 울산 긴급행동 동지들은 지난 2년이 넘는 시간 동안 이스라엘의 집단학살과 식민지 정책에 반대하며 꾸준히 거리에서 목소리를 내 왔습니다. 이는 단순한 연대 행동이 아니라, 제국주의 세계 질서에 맞선 끈질긴 정치적 실천이었습니다. 이제 여기에 더해, 미국의 베네수엘라 침공과 자원 약탈, 약소국 지배 야욕에 맞선 반제·반전 국제연대를 더욱 분명한 과제로 세워야 할 시점입니다.

2026년에도 우리는 멈출 수 없습니다. 팔레스타인의 자유와 해방, 베네수엘라 인민의 주권과 생존권, 그리고 전 세계 노동자와 인민의 평화와 존엄을 위한 투쟁은 계속되어야 합니다.

Buenos Aires: Demonstration against the Yankee Assault on Venezuela

On January 5th, dozens of political parties, organizations, and unions marched to the US embassy to express their condemnation of Donald Trump's aggression against Venezuela. Our party, Convergencia Socialista (Argentinean section of the RCIT), participated with their banners in the demonstration. Our members spoke the media and expressed our condemnation of the US intervention in Latin America, but without offering any political support to the Chavista dictatorship. In our speeches, we emphasized that only the Venezuelan working class can wage a consistent struggle against imperialism and for democracy in Venezuela.

Buenos Aires: Demonstration gegen den US-Angriff auf Venezuela

Vienna: Rally in Defence of Venezuela against the Yankee Assault

A few hours after the U.S. attack on Venezuela on 3^rd January, several hundred people assembled near the major university of Vienna. We marched to the U.S. embassy show our protest against the American aggression. The demonstration was organised by an alliance of several left-wing organisations.

Speakers from various organisations – like ArbeiterInnenstandpunkt, Young Struggle, Linkswende, RKP, Sozialistische Offenisve, KPÖ – addressed the rally. Michael Pröbsting, International Secretary of the RCIT, also held a speech in which he sharply denounced the blatantly imperialist aggression. He called for the defence of Venezuela and for supporting all forces which resist the aggression. He said that all self-proclaimed progressive governments in Latin America which verbally denounced this attack should take practical steps to expel U.S. forces on their soil and to expropriate American corporations in their countries. At the same time, Michael stated that we do not lend any political support to the bourgeois Maduro regime and that it should be replaced by a workers and popular government.

Pocas horas después del ataque estadounidense a Venezuela el 3 de enero, cientos de personas se congregaron cerca de la importante universidad de Viena. Marchamos hacia la embajada estadounidense para manifestar nuestra protesta contra la agresión estadounidense. La manifestación fue organizada por una alianza de varias organizaciones de izquierda.

Oradores de diversas organizaciones, como ArbeiterInnenstandpunkt, Young Struggle, Linkswende, RKP, Sozialistische Offenisve y KPÖ, se dirigieron a la concentración. Michael Pröbsting, secretario internacional de la CCRI, también pronunció un discurso en el que denunció enérgicamente la flagrante agresión imperialista. Hizo un llamado a la defensa de Venezuela y al apoyo a todas las fuerzas que resisten la agresión. Dijo que todos los gobiernos autoproclamados progresistas de América Latina que denunciaron verbalmente este ataque deberían tomar medidas prácticas para expulsar a las fuerzas estadounidenses de su territorio y expropiar a las corporaciones estadounidenses en sus países. Wien: Kundgebung zur Verteidigung Venezuelas gegen den US-Angriff

Wenige Stunden nach dem US-Angriff auf Venezuela am 3. Januar versammelten sich mehrere Hundert Menschen in der Nähe der Hauptuniversität Wien. Wir marschierten zur US-Botschaft, um gegen die amerikanische Aggression zu protestieren. Die Demonstration wurde von einem Bündnis mehrerer linker Organisationen organisiert.

Rednerinnen und Redner verschiedener Organisationen – wie ArbeiterInnenstandpunkt, Young Struggle, Linkswende, RKP, Sozialistische Offensive und KPÖ – sprachen auf der Kundgebung. Michael Pröbsting, Internationaler Sekretär des RCIT, hielt ebenfalls eine Rede, in der er die unverhohlene imperialistische Aggression scharf verurteilte. Er rief zur Verteidigung Venezuelas und zur Unterstützung aller Kräfte auf, die sich der Aggression widersetzen. Er sagte, alle selbsternannten progressiven Regierungen Lateinamerikas, die diesen Angriff verbal verurteilten, sollten praktische Schritte unternehmen, um die US-Truppen aus ihren Ländern zu vertreiben und amerikanische Unternehmen zu enteignen. Gleichzeitig erklärte Michael, dass man dem bürgerlichen Maduro-Regime keinerlei politische Unterstützung gewähren darf und dass es durch eine Arbeiter- und Volksregierung ersetzt werden muss.

South Korea: 12/28 (Sun) Ulsan – The 133rd Myanmar Democracy Campaign

An Internationalist Act of Solidarity Condemning the Military’s Sham Election and Supporting the Spring Revolution

On Sunday, December 28, 2025, the 133rd Myanmar Democracy Campaign was held in Ulsan. This action was jointly organized by the Workers’ Revolutionary Party (Preparatory Committee), Minyechong Ulsan, March to Socialism, the Seo Young-ho & Yang Bong-su Martyrs’ Spirit Succession Committee, the Ulsan Workers’ Learning Center, and the Ulsan Migrant Center.

In particular, this campaign was significant in that Myanmar migrant workers living and working in South Korea participated directly as protagonists of the struggle, not merely as objects of solidarity.

December 28 was also the day on which the Myanmar military carried out a so-called “general election” in an attempt to conceal the mass killings and state violence it has perpetrated over the past several years and to legitimize its rule. This election was neither free, nor fair, nor democratic. It was nothing more than a reactionary political farce designed to prolong military dictatorship.

Since the coup, the military has arrested and detained tens of thousands, massacred thousands, and carried out indiscriminate bombings of villages, schools, and hospitals. An election organized by such a regime can never reflect the will of the people; it serves only to dress up mass murder and repression as “normal politics.” To recognize or tolerate this sham election is nothing less than endorsing a false order built upon the blood of the Myanmar people.

A defining feature of this action in Ulsan was that Myanmar migrant workers joined not as “beneficiaries” of solidarity, but as active subjects of struggle. Having fled military dictatorship and now facing exploitation in workplaces in South Korea, these workers demonstrated clearly that the massacres and repression in Myanmar are not distant events, but part of their own lived reality. They condemned the military’s sham election and expressed, in their own voices, unwavering support for the resistance of the Myanmar people and the Spring Revolution.

Together, participants in Ulsan and Myanmar migrant workers raised their voices in unison:

“If we submit to the military, there will be no future for our children.”

“Reject the military’s sham election that justifies mass murder!”

These slogans were not merely expressions of sympathy, but political declarations that cut to the core of the Myanmar struggle. Illusions about compromise with the military, “orderly transitions,” or “partial democratization” have only produced further repression and sacrifice. Genuine liberation can be achieved only through the fundamental overthrow of military power and the construction of a new society based on the independent strength of the masses themselves.

The ongoing Spring Revolution in Myanmar is not simply a movement to restore elections. It is a revolutionary uprising of the people against military dictatorship, capitalist exploitation, and national oppression. Workers, peasants, youth, students, women, and ethnic minorities have emerged as subjects of struggle, and Myanmar migrant workers abroad are also forming part of this revolution through international solidarity.

The Myanmar military is not isolated. Its dictatorship has been sustained through relationships with regional powers, imperialist states, and international capital. The stance of the international community – remaining silent or effectively recognizing the sham election in the name of “stability” – is yet another betrayal of the Myanmar people. For this reason, solidarity with Myanmar must not be understood as humanitarian charity, but as part of a common international struggle of workers and oppressed peoples.

The 133rd campaign in Ulsan clearly affirmed:

total rejection of the military’s sham election that seeks to legitimize mass murder;

firm support for the Myanmar Spring Revolution and popular resistance;

international solidarity of the working class, including Myanmar migrant workers.

For the victory of the Myanmar Spring Revolution, support and solidarity will continue into 2026 and beyond. Until the Myanmar people and migrant workers overthrow military dictatorship and win freedom, dignity, and control over their own future, this solidarity will not cease.

The liberation of Myanmar is not the concern of one country alone. It is a common task of workers and oppressed peoples across the world, linked beyond borders. The voice of solidarity raised in Ulsan will continue to reach the Myanmar people in struggle.

― 미얀마 군부 총선 규탄과 봄혁명 지지를 위한 국제주의적 연대 행동

2025년 12월 28일(일), 울산에서 제133차 미얀마 민주주의 캠페인이 진행되었다. 이번 행동은 노동자혁명당(준), 민예총울산, 사회주의를향한전진, 서영호·양봉수 열사 정신계승사업회, 울산노동자배움터, 울산이주민센터가 함께했으며, 특히 한국에서 일하고 살아가는 미얀마 이주노동자들이 투쟁의 당사자로 직접 참여했다는 점에서 중요한 의미를 지닌 행동이었다.

이번 캠페인이 열린 12월 28일은 미얀마 군부가 지난 수년간 자행해 온 대규모 학살과 국가폭력을 은폐하고, 자신들의 지배를 정당화하기 위해 이른바 ‘총선’을 강행한 날이기도 하다. 그러나 이 선거는 자유롭지도, 공정하지도, 민주적이지도 않으며, 군부 독재 체제를 연장하기 위한 반동적 정치 사기극에 불과하다.

쿠데타 이후 군부는 수만 명을 체포·구금하고 수천 명을 학살했으며, 마을과 학교, 병원까지 무차별 폭격해 왔다. 이러한 세력이 주관하는 선거는 인민의 의사를 반영할 수 없고, 오히려 학살과 탄압을 정상 정치로 포장하려는 시도일 뿐이다. 군부 총선을 인정하거나 묵인하는 것은 미얀마 인민의 피 위에 세워진 거짓 질서를 승인하는 것과 다르지 않다.

이번 울산 행동의 중요한 특징은, 미얀마 이주노동자들이 연대의 ‘대상’이 아니라 투쟁의 ‘주체’로 함께했다는 점이다. 군부 독재를 피해 한국으로 건너와 노동현장에서 착취를 겪고 있는 이주노동자들은, 미얀마에서 벌어지고 있는 학살과 억압이 결코 먼 나라의 이야기가 아님을 분명히 보여주었다. 이들은 군부 총선을 규탄하며, 미얀마 인민의 저항과 봄혁명에 대한 확고한 지지를 직접 자신의 목소리로 표현했다.

이에 울산의 참가자들과 미얀마 이주노동자들은 다음과 같이 한목소리로 외쳤다.

“군부에 굴복하면 아이들에게 미래는 없다.”

“학살을 정당화하는 군부 총선을 거부하자!”

이 구호는 단순한 연대의 표현이 아니라, 미얀마 투쟁의 핵심을 꿰뚫는 정치적 선언이다. 군부와의 타협이나 ‘질서 있는 이행’, ‘부분적 민주화’라는 환상은 더 많은 억압과 희생만을 낳아 왔다. 진정한 해방은 군부 권력의 근본적 타도와 민중 스스로의 힘에 기초한 새로운 사회의 건설을 통해서만 가능하다.

미얀마에서 계속되고 있는 봄혁명은 단순한 선거 복원 운동이 아니라, 군사독재와 자본주의적 착취, 민족 억압에 맞선 혁명적 민중 봉기이다. 노동자와 농민, 청년과 학생, 여성과 소수민족이 투쟁의 주체로 나서고 있으며, 해외에 있는 미얀마 이주노동자들 또한 이 혁명의 일부로서 국제적 연대를 형성하고 있다.

또한 미얀마 군부는 고립된 존재가 아니다. 군부 독재는 지역 강대국과 제국주의 열강, 국제 자본과의 이해관계 속에서 유지되어 왔다. 군부 총선을 사실상 인정하거나 ‘안정’을 이유로 침묵하는 국제 사회의 태도 역시, 미얀마 인민에 대한 또 하나의 배신이다. 그렇기에 미얀마에 대한 연대는 인도주의적 동정이 아니라, 국제 노동자·인민공동투쟁의 일부로 이해되어야 한다.

울산에서 진행된 이번 133차 캠페인은

학살을 정당화하는 군부 총선에 대한 전면적 거부

미얀마 봄혁명과 인민 저항에 대한 분명한 지지

미얀마의 해방은 한 나라만의 문제가 아니다. 그것은 국경을 넘어 연결된 전 세계 노동자·피억압 인민의 공동 과제이다. 울산에서 울려 퍼진 이 연대의 외침은 투쟁하는 미얀마 인민에게로 계속 이어질 것이다.

South Korea: Ulsan 46th Emergency Action for Peace in Palestine

On the Streets of Solidarity at the End of 2025

On 27 December 2025, amid the year-end season and on a weekend marked by biting winter winds, the 46th Ulsan Emergency Action for Peace in Palestine was carried out without interruption. This action was not merely a routine rally, but the final solidarity action of the year 2025, carrying special significance. Even at the very end of the year, participants chose not to remain silent and took to the streets once again, clearly demonstrating the perseverance and political commitment of the Ulsan-based solidarity with Palestine that has continued for the past two years.

The year-end period and harsh winter weather made it far from easy to sustain street actions. Nevertheless, we could not turn away from the Israeli occupation and genocide in Gaza that continue at this very moment. We therefore chose to dedicate even the final weekend of 2025 to solidarity. The chants that echoed through the cold streets reaffirmed that the suffering of the Palestinian people is not a “distant tragedy,” but a shared issue for all working people around the world living under imperialism and the system of war.

Participants in this emergency action included full-time officials from the Ulsan Regional Headquarters of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) and the Ulsan Branch of the Korean Metal Workers’ Union, as well as activists and members from Hyundai Glovis Ulsan Branch, EcoCam Branch, GS&Tech Branch, Hyundai Heavy Industries In-house Subcontracting Branch (executives and officers), dismissed workers from Isu Enterprise of the Hyundai Motor Non-Regular Workers’ Union, the Seo Young-ho and Yang Bong-su Martyrs’ Spirit Succession Committee, Bread and Roses, the Workers’ Revolutionary Party (Preparatory Group), and March to Socialism, among others. In total, 20 workers and activists stood together. Comrades who have been fighting exploitation and repression by capital and the state in their respective workplaces gathered to mark the final solidarity action of 2025 and once again reaffirm their solidarity with the Palestinian people.

The Ulsan Emergency Actions for Peace in Palestine have continued 46 times over the past two years. This has not been a series of one-off protests driven by momentary outrage, but a sustained history of solidarity that has persisted until the end of Israel’s colonial domination of Palestine and the genocide in Gaza. Trade unions and political, social, and civic organizations in the Ulsan region have consistently demanded an end to Israel’s occupation and massacres, the complete withdrawal of occupying forces, and the lifting of the blockade on Gaza, in solidarity with working people across the world.

We have also made it clear that these war crimes are not the responsibility of Israel alone. The genocide in Gaza has been sustained by the political and military backing of the United States and European imperialist powers, as well as by the interests of global capital. Accordingly, we have strongly condemned the weapons support provided by the US and European imperialist states, and firmly opposed the arms exports and military, economic, and political cooperation between the South Korean government, South Korean capital, and Israel. In particular, we have repeatedly exposed and challenged the involvement of South Korean capital – such as Korea National Oil Corporation (KNOC) and Dana Petroleum – in the plunder of Palestinian resources, making it clear that South Korean society is by no means free from responsibility for these crimes.

We are fully aware that our voices are still not loud enough. However, the final solidarity action of 2025, on 27 December, demonstrated something essential: the strength of solidarity does not lie in numbers or fleeting attention, but in continuity, principles, and the refusal to remain silent under any circumstances.

Each small action on the streets, each repeated chant, accumulates and will ultimately form the foundation for building anti-imperialist and anti-war international solidarity in East Asia.

The liberation of the Palestinian people is not only a Palestinian issue. It is a shared task for working people worldwide in the struggle against colonial domination, imperialist wars, exploitation, and oppression. The steps taken in solidarity on the streets of Ulsan during the final weekend of 2025 therefore carry clear historical significance as part of this broader international struggle. This solidarity will not end with 2025; it will continue unwaveringly into 2026 and beyond.

To all participating organizations and comrades who joined the Ulsan Emergency Actions for Peace in Palestine, thank you sincerely for all your efforts throughout 2025.

It was only through your continued commitment – despite busy schedules, daily struggles, and ongoing battles – that the 46th Emergency Action and the final solidarity action of 2025 were possible. 2025년 12월 27일, 연말연시를 앞둔 시기이자 차가운 겨울바람이 매섭게 불어오던 주말, 팔레스타인 평화를 위한 울산 46차 긴급행동이 변함없이 진행되었습니다. 이날 행동은 단순한 정기 집회가 아니라, 2025년 한 해를 마무리하는 마지막 연대 행동으로서 특별한 의미를 지닌 자리였습니다. 한 해의 끝자락에서도 침묵하지 않고 거리로 나선 이 행동은, 지난 2년간 이어져 온 울산지역 팔레스타인 연대의 끈질긴 지속성과 정치적 의지를 다시 한 번 분명히 보여주었습니다.

연말연시라는 시기, 그리고 추운 날씨는 거리 행동을 이어가기 결코 쉽지 않은 조건이었습니다. 그러나 우리는 가자지구에서 지금 이 순간에도 계속되고 있는 이스라엘의 점령과 집단학살을 외면할 수 없었고, 2025년의 마지막 주말마저 연대의 자리로 남기기로 선택했습니다. 차가운 거리에서 울려 퍼진 우리의 구호는, 팔레스타인 민중의 고통이 결코 ‘먼 나라의 비극’이 아니라 제국주의와 전쟁 체제 속에서 살아가는 전 세계 노동자 민중 모두의 문제임을 다시 한 번 확인시키는 외침이었습니다.

우리는 스스로의 외침이 아직 충분히 크지 않다는 사실도 잘 알고 있습니다. 그러나 2025년 12월 27일, 2025년의 마지막 연대 행동은 분명히 보여주었습니다. 연대의 힘은 숫자나 일시적 관심이 아니라, 지속성과 원칙, 그리고 어떤 조건에서도 침묵하지 않는 실천에서 나온다는 것을 말입니다. 거리에서의 작은 행동 하나하나, 반복되는 구호 하나하나가 쌓여 결국에는 동아시아 반제·반전 국제연대를 만들어 가는 토대가 될 것입니다.

팔레스타인 인민의 해방은 팔레스타인만의 문제가 아닙니다. 그것은 식민 지배와 제국주의 전쟁, 착취와 억압에 맞서는 전 세계 노동자 인민의 공동의 과제입니다. 2025년의 마지막 주말, 울산의 거리에서 이어진 이 연대의 걸음은 그 더 넓은 국제적 투쟁의 일부로서 분명한 역사적 의미를 갖습니다. 우리는 이 연대를 2025년과 함께 끝내지 않을 것이며, 다가오는 2026년에도 멈추지 않고 이어갈 것입니다.
