The fourth “Internationalist Meeting” took place on 15-17 May 2026 in Paris. It was organised jointly by the NPA-R, a sizeable Trotskyist party in France, and several Italian radical left organisations such as Lotta Communista.

50 different organisations had sent written contributions a few weeks before, 30 of them also participated in the conference in person with one or two delegates. This year all delegations were allowed to speak for 12 minutes. The first day was at a reduced format and was dedicated to youth and student issues, with speakers from the youth organisations of the participating parties. The second and third days followed the classic format of presenting one’s own positions first and debating with others.

As in the previous year, a wide range of forces were present – Trotskyists, left communists, and anarcho-syndicalists. Among these were organizations from Italy (e.g. Lotta Comunista, AMR ControVento, ControCorrente, Rivoluzone Comunista), France (NPA-R), Germany (RSO), Greece (e.g. OKDE Spartakos, Diethesmos), Turkey (BIR-KAR), Britain (Alliance for Workers' Liberty). In addition, several international organizations were present with leading representatives: such as the Committee for a Workers' International (CWI), Internationalist Standpoint, ISA(R), International Communist League (Spartacists). Also present were several sections of the International Socialist League (ISL) – the MST (Argentina), Arbeiter:innermacht (Germany), WP (Britain) and PCL (Italy) which had merged in the previous year.

A welcome development was the presence of organizations like Manjanigh from Iran, the Revolutionary Communist Network from China, the Frontline Socialist Party from Sri Lanka or La Aurora from Catalonia.

The Revolutionary Communist International Tendency (RCIT) was present with two delegates – comrade Petro Borwevik (Ukraine) and comrade Paul Legay (France). The speeches were focused on key issues of the world situation such as the crisis of capitalism, the threat of world war, Trump's policy at home, his war against Iran, the aggression against Venezuela, the wars in Gaza and Ukraine, etc.

In their speeches, the RCIT delegates emphasized that in the current period, revolutionaries must join forces on the basis of agreement on the most important issues of the current period. Among these issues are the recognition of the imperialist nature of new powers such as China and Russia, the consistent internationalist position of revolutionary defeat of all Great Powers, as well as anti-imperialist solidarity with the liberation struggle in Palestine, the resistance of Iran, Ukraine, or Cuba.

We did show that Trump’s aggressive foreign policy – the so-called “Donroe Doctrine” – reflects not so much the strength, but rather the relative decline of U.S. hegemony. Such decline can only be explained in the context of the accelerating contradictions of capitalism and inter-imperialist rivalry between the Great Powers. At the national level, such decline results in the deterioration of living conditions of large segments of the population and attacks on the rights of migrants and their oppression by the ICE. However, in response, this provokes popular resistance as rallies in Minneapolis and many other cities have shown – protests which were directed against Trump’s reactionary policy at home as well as abroad (“No Kings, No Wars, No ICE”).

We argued against the Stalinophile and Bolivarian illusions about the anti-imperialist character of Russia and China and showed that Putin and Xi pursue only state-monopolistic interests of the independent national finance capital of these powers. Against the myth of a global “American Empire”, we demonstrated that there exist differences and contradictions between separate imperialist states like the USA, Canada, Japan and the countries of Western Europe, where everyone is now "for themselves". In cases of imperialist conflicts, we pursue the line of revolutionary defeat in all imperialist countries and the transformation of the imperialist war into a civil war. We also oppose the rights of “national self-determination” for imperialists, such as Russia (i.e. in Crimea) and Israel in Palestine.

We also explained that there are currently several just wars of national defence. Such wars can have a dual character (e.g. Ukraine), but these must not be confused with inter-imperialist wars. When such progressive struggles are led by (petty-)bourgeois forces, we side with these on the basis of the anti-imperialist united front tactic. Hence, we support the struggle of Iran, Palestine, Ukraine, etc. without lending political support for the regimes. We make clear that the divergence between the progressive nature of the struggle and the reactionary character of the pro-bourgeois leadership causes a contradiction that undermines and weakens the popular struggle. This is the case, for example, in Ukraine, where this provokes demoralization of the population and manifests itself through desertion, as well as the deterioration of the social rights of workers. Nevertheless, the threat of a world war exists and in order to prevent it, it is necessary to weaken the imperialists, and for this it is necessary to support the just wars of national defence.

The organizers of the conference have already announced their plan to hold a similar event in 2027. We support this decision because such conferences are a useful opportunity to discuss the world situation with other forces. To this end, we support expanding the range of participants, such as communists from the Global South, Africa and South Asia (for example, Maoists from India were unable to attend due to the high cost of travel).

At the same, the RCIT believes that such debates, useful as they are, are not sufficient. Revolutionaries need to go further and strive for uniting forces which have agreement on an action program for the current historic period. Naturally, such unity can not be artificially created but must be the result of a process of serious discussion and collaboration. Such a step forward towards revolutionary unity is all the more important as we are living in an explosive period of wars and revolutionary upheavals!

La cuarta “ Reunión Internacionalista ” tuvo lugar del 15 al 17 de mayo de 2026 en París. Fue organizada conjuntamente por el NPA-R, un importante partido trotskista francés, y varias organizaciones de izquierda radical italianas como Lotta Communista.

Cincuenta organizaciones diferentes habían enviado contribuciones escritas unas semanas antes; treinta de ellas también participaron presencialmente en la conferencia con uno o dos delegados. Este año, todas las delegaciones dispusieron de doce minutos para intervenir. La primera jornada tuvo un formato reducido y se dedicó a temas relacionados con la juventud y el alumnado, con ponentes de las organizaciones juveniles de las partes participantes. El segundo y el tercer día siguieron el formato clásico de presentación de las propias posturas y posterior debate con los demás.

Como el año anterior, se presentó una amplia gama de fuerzas: trotskistas, comunistas de izquierda y anarcosindicalistas. Entre ellas se encontraban organizaciones de Italia (por ejemplo, Lotta Comunista, AMR ControVento, ControCorrente, Rivoluzone Comunista), Francia (NPA-R), Alemania (RSO), Grecia (por ejemplo, OKDE Spartakos, Diethesmos), Turquía (BIR-KAR) y Gran Bretaña (Alianza por la Libertad Obrera). Además, varias organizaciones internacionales estuvieron presentes con representantes destacados, como el Comité por una Internacional Obrera (CWI), Punto de Vista Internacional, ISA(R) y la Liga Comunista Internacional (Espartacistas). También estuvieron presentes varias secciones de la Liga Socialista Internacional (ISL): MST (Argentina), Arbeiter:innermacht (Alemania), WP (Gran Bretaña) y PCL (Italia), que se habían fusionado el año anterior.

Un aspecto positivo fue la presencia de organizaciones como Manjanigh de Irán, la Red Comunista Revolucionaria de China, el Partido Socialista del Frente de Sri Lanka o La Aurora de Cataluña.

Nuestra Corriente Comunista Revolucionaria Internacional, CCRI, estuvo presente con dos delegados: el camarada Petro Borwevik (Ucrania) y el camarada Paul Legay (Francia). Los discursos se centraron en cuestiones clave de la situación mundial, como la crisis del capitalismo, la amenaza de una guerra mundial, la política interna de Trump, su guerra contra Irán, la agresión contra Venezuela, las guerras en Gaza y Ucrania, etc.

Nuestros delegados enfatizaron, que, en el período actual, los revolucionarios deben aunar fuerzas sobre la base de un consenso en los temas más importantes. Entre estos temas se encuentran el reconocimiento del carácter imperialista de las nuevas potencias como China y Rusia, la postura internacionalista consecuente de derrota revolucionaria de todas las grandes potencias, así como la solidaridad antiimperialista con la lucha de liberación en Palestina y la resistencia de Irán, Ucrania o Cuba. 

Demostramos que la agresiva política exterior de Trump —la llamada «Doctrina Donroe»— refleja no tanto la fortaleza, sino más bien el declive relativo de la hegemonía estadounidense. Este declive solo puede explicarse en el contexto de las crecientes contradicciones del capitalismo y la rivalidad interimperialista entre las grandes potencias. A nivel nacional, este declive se traduce en el deterioro de las condiciones de vida de amplios sectores de la población y en ataques a los derechos de los migrantes, así como en su opresión por parte del ICE. Sin embargo, esto genera resistencia popular, como lo demostraron las manifestaciones en Minneapolis y muchas otras ciudades: protestas dirigidas contra la política reaccionaria de Trump tanto a nivel nacional como internacional (« No a los reyes, no a las guerras, no al ICE »).

Argumentamos en contra de las ilusiones estalinófilas y bolivarianas sobre el carácter antiimperialista de Rusia y China, y demostramos que Putin y Xi persiguen únicamente los intereses monopolísticos del capital financiero nacional independiente de estas potencias. Frente al mito de un “imperio americano” global, demostramos que existen diferencias y contradicciones entre estados imperialistas como Estados Unidos, Canadá, Japón y los países de Europa Occidental, donde ahora cada cual vela por sus propios intereses. También planteamos, que, en casos de conflictos imperialistas, defendemos la derrota revolucionaria en todos los países imperialistas y la transformación de la guerra imperialista en una guerra civil. Asimismo, nos oponemos al derecho a la “autodeterminación nacional” de los imperialistas, como Rusia (por ejemplo, en Crimea) e Israel en Palestina.

Luego explicamos, que, actualmente existen varias guerras justas de defensa nacional, que en algunos casos pueden tener un carácter dual (por ejemplo, Ucrania), pero no deben confundirse con las guerras interimperialistas. Cuando estas luchas progresistas son lideradas por fuerzas (pequeña) burguesas, las apoyamos en base a la táctica del frente único antiimperialista, razón por la cual respaldamos la lucha de Irán, Palestina, Ucrania, etc., sin brindar apoyo político a los regímenes. Dejamos claro que la divergencia entre la naturaleza progresista de la lucha y el carácter reaccionario de la dirigencia proburguesa genera una contradicción que socava y debilita la lucha popular. Este es el caso, por ejemplo, de Ucrania, donde esto provoca la desmoralización de la población y se manifiesta a través de la deserción, así como del deterioro de los derechos sociales de los trabajadores. Sin embargo, existe la amenaza de una guerra mundial y, para prevenirla, es necesario debilitar a los imperialistas, y para ello es necesario apoyar las guerras justas de defensa nacional.

Los organizadores de la conferencia ya han anunciado su intención de celebrar un evento similar en 2027. Respaldamos esta decisión, ya que este tipo de conferencias constituyen una valiosa oportunidad para debatir la situación mundial con otras fuerzas. Por ello, apoyamos la ampliación del abanico de participantes, incluyendo, por ejemplo, a comunistas del Sur Global, África y el sur de Asia (como los maoístas de la India, que no pudieron asistir debido al elevado coste del viaje).

Al mismo tiempo, desde la CCRI consideramos que tales debates, por útiles que sean, no son suficientes. Los revolucionarios deben ir más allá y esforzarse por unir fuerzas que coincidan en un programa de acción para el presente período histórico. Naturalmente, dicha unidad no puede crearse artificialmente, sino que debe ser el resultado de un proceso de diálogo y colaboración serios. Este avance hacia la unidad revolucionaria cobra mayor importancia en un período explosivo de guerras y convulsiones revolucionarias.

Четверта «Міжнародна зустріч» відбулася 15–17 травня 2026 року в Парижі. Її спільно організували NPA-R — чисельна троцькістська партія у Франції — та кілька італійських радикально-лівих організацій, таких як Lotta Communista.

За кілька тижнів до цього 50 різних організацій надіслали письмові матеріали, 30 із них також взяли участь у конференції особисто, делегувавши одного або двох представників. Цього року всім делегаціям було надано 12 хвилин для виступу. Перший день проходив у скороченому форматі й був присвячений питанням молоді та студентів; на ньому виступили представники молодіжних організацій партій-учасниць. Другий і третій дні проходили за класичним форматом: спочатку учасники висловлювали власні позиції, а потім обговорювали їх з іншими.

Як і минулого року, на заході були представлені найрізноманітніші сили — троцькісти, ліві комуністи та анархо-синдикалісти. Серед них були організації з Італії (наприклад, Lotta Comunista, AMR ControVento, ControCorrente, Rivoluzone Comunista), Франції (NPA-R), Німеччини (RSO), Греції (наприклад, OKDE Spartakos, Diethesmos), Туреччини (BIR-KAR), Великої Британії (Alliance for Workers' Liberty). Крім того, були присутні провідні представники кількох міжнародних організацій, таких як Committee for a Workers' International (CWI), Internationalist Standpoint, ISA(R), International Communist League (спартакісти). У виступах йшлося про ключові проблеми світової ситуації, такі як криза капіталізму, загроза світової війни, внутрішня політика Трампа, його війна проти Ірану, агресія проти Венесуели, війни в Газі та в Україні тощо.

У своїх виступах делегати РКМТ наголосили, що в нинішній період революціонери повинні об’єднати свої сили на основі згоди щодо найважливіших питань сьогодення. Серед цих питань — визнання імперіалістичного характеру таких держав, як Китай і Росія, послідовна інтернаціоналістська позиція щодо революційного повалення всіх великих держав, а також антиімперіалістична солідарність із визвольною боротьбою в Палестині, опором в Ірані, Україні та на Кубі.

Ми довели, що агресивна зовнішня політика Трампа — так звана «доктрина Донро» — відображає не стільки силу, скільки відносний занепад гегемонії США. Такий занепад можна пояснити лише в контексті загострення суперечностей капіталізму та міжімперіалістичної конкуренції між великими державами. На національному рівні такий занепад призводить до погіршення умов життя значної частини населення та атак на права мігрантів і їхнього пригнічення з боку ICE. Однак у відповідь це провокує народний опір, як показали мітинги в Міннеаполісі та багатьох інших містах — протести, спрямовані проти реакційної політики Трампа як у країні, так і за кордоном («Ні королям, ні війнам, ні ICE»).

Ми виступили проти сталінофільських та боліваріанських ілюзій щодо антиімперіалістичного характеру Росії та Китаю і показали, що Путін та Сі переслідують лише державно-монополістичні інтереси незалежного національного фінансового капіталу цих держав. Проти міфу про глобальну «Американську імперію» ми довели, що між окремими імперіалістичними державами, такими як США, Канада, Японія та країни Західної Європи, існують розбіжності та суперечності, і що зараз кожна з них діє «на власний розсуд». У випадках імперіалістичних конфліктів ми дотримуємося лінії революційного поразництва в усіх імперіалістичних країнах та перетворення імперіалістичної війни на громадянську. Ми також виступаємо проти права на «національне самовизначення» для імперіалістів, таких як Росія (тобто у Криму) та Ізраїль у Палестині.

Ми також пояснили, що на даний момент ведеться кілька справедливих воєн на захист національного суверенітету. Такі війни можуть мати подвійний характер (наприклад, війна в Україні), але їх не слід плутати з міжімперіалістичними війнами. Коли таку прогресивну боротьбу очолюють (дрібні) буржуазні сили, ми стаємо на їхній бік на основі тактики антиімперіалістичного єдиного фронту. Отже, ми підтримуємо боротьбу Ірану, Палестини, України тощо, не надаючи політичної підтримки режимам. Ми чітко заявляємо, що розбіжність між прогресивним характером боротьби та реакційним характером пробуржуазного керівництва спричиняє суперечність, яка підриває та послаблює народну боротьбу. Так відбувається, наприклад, в Україні, де це провокує деморалізацію населення і виявляється у дезертирстві, а також у погіршенні соціальних прав робітників. Проте загроза світової війни існує, і щоб її запобігти, необхідно послабити імперіалістів, а для цього необхідно підтримувати справедливі війни національної оборони.

Організатори конференції вже оголосили про свій намір провести подібний захід у 2027 році. Ми підтримуємо це рішення, оскільки такі конференції є корисною нагодою для обговорення світової ситуації з іншими силами. З цією метою ми виступаємо за розширення кола учасників, зокрема за залучення комуністів із країн Глобального Півдня, Африки та Південної Азії (наприклад, маоїсти з Індії не змогли взяти участь через високу вартість поїздки).

Водночас РКМТ вважає, що такі дебати, хоч і є корисними, але недостатні. Революціонери повинні йти далі й прагнути об’єднати сили, які досягли згоди щодо програми дій на нинішній історичний період. Звісно, таку єдність не можна створити штучно — вона має бути результатом процесу серйозних дискусій та співпраці. Такий крок уперед до революційної єдності є тим важливішим, що ми живемо у вибухонебезпечний період воєн та революційних потрясінь!
